The shadow demon shrugs off the effects of the spell.

 Waiting for Kasbis

Now that Duncan has come over to help, Kasbis takes the disengage action to move away 20 feet so that he can resume his ranged spell attack next round, and he seems to be an easy target for the creature.  He says to the creature, in abyssal, “Your friend is gone.  There is no one left but you.  Surrender and leave this place.  Or we will make you disappear as well…”

Intimidation : 7  (not so much)

Shadow demon 2 is not moves by Kasbis's words and moves towards Kasbis

Duncan swings at the demon as it attempts to walk away from him, and then follows it adding to his combo of attacks

Aisha rests a hand on Kasbis' shoulder, "What did you say? It looks angry."  She'll cast a second level Cure Wounds on Kasbis for 17 HP.

“I keep telling it to leave, to surrender, or we will kill it, but it won’t listen!  Thank you Aisha!” Kasbis looks better and reinvigorated again, hurling two beams of eldritch force at the creature, despite its proximity to him.  

Eldritch blast beam 1 : Attack: 9 Damage: 5

Shadow demon 2 says "You may have won this fight, but I will be back"

It then takes the dash action to get into the shadows

Duncan and Kasbis as opportunity attack

Kasbis quickly pulls out a dagger to stab the retreating creature, but he can’t handle it properly.  He swings through the air as it retreats.  

Dagger : 7 to hit, for 5 points of damage.   

Duncan attack lands true and the Shadow demon can go no further. It also losing some of its cohesion

Round 8 Post when able

Kasbis grins when he sees the shadow demon become more ethereal.  He fires off two Eldritch blasts toward the creature.  

Eldritch blast :  (Nat 1 + 7) = 8 to hit, for 13 points of damage

Eldritch blast :  (Nat 1 + 7) = 8 to hit, for 10 points of damage

(Twin Nat 1s.  Wow.)

Kasbis looks crestfallen as he cannot gather his aim to hit the immobile creature.

With a chuckle after the demon tried to run, Duncan quickly swings his glaive hoping to make it disappear as he did the other.

Shadow demon 2 is losing more of its form, but it tries to run again with the dash action

Kasbis and Duncan have opportunity attack

Kasbis takes the opportunity but swings wide with his dagger again.  “Stop him, Duncan!” he hisses out at the Shadow Demon.  

Dagger : 9 to hit, for 5 points of damage.  

“Stop there!” Duncan says, hoping to stop it again
