As the dust fades Duncan looks to the others and says, "At least it wasn't able to get away to warn any others... but the fact that it was trying to run likely means there are others down here. We also now have at least some idea of what we're dealing with... Shall we continue our search?"

Aisha wipes the sweat from her brow after the fight. "Whatever that Mawfiend is Kas heard them talking about doesn't sound like a good thing. I think we need to keep moving so we can stop them from summoning it."
Kasbis nods and then steps in front of Duncan. “I’m quieter, let me scout ahead. Do you think… should we take a rest in here somewhere? Whatever this is has been warned though that we are here. Likely too dangerous..”.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"Though I could go a bit more, I do like to rest a bit between fights as well. And I do not think we are in a rush... our lantern will last a few more hours, and we still have oil to refill,"Duncan replies, looking around the area for a place to set his pack if the others want the same.
The party heads south and sees a network of rope bridges spanning an underground river the rushes along from east to west. In the lantern light the water is a greying in color and too brackish to seen the bottom.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"If we're going to rest, it might be good to head back up to the dead-end in the north. Better for us to know if anything approaches," Duncan suggests, heading back north, adding, to Aisha, "help me keep an eye out will ya?"
“An excellent idea Duncan, as always.” Kasbis walks back with Duncan, picking out the spot that would be better to keep a watchful eye out, heading north. Once they are settled, he will begin to rest and meditate.

Duncan and Kasbis sees a singular red eye peering at the part from the shadows of the ceiling. It does not attack as it just watches the party intently.

Again asking Aisha for guidance to notice things out of the ordinary, Duncan leads the group back to where they were, beginning to cross the wooden pathways.

After the rest Aisha gives Guidance to Duncan as the group travels and she looks around. "That was a creepy rest but hopefully we can figure out what's going on down here."
As the party heads across the bridge there on the ground you see a blood spattered torn pouch with Willoughby's family crest. There is no signs of his daughter Ellesia.
Scattered around the pouch are some coins 15 gp 20 sp. 4 cp.
Duncan sighs as he leans over to pick up the pouch and coins, saying, "It seems we know where they went... this would be a good job for them. Hopefully they are still alive. Let us keep moving."He then continues on the bridge into the next section of mine.
As the party reaches the halfway point of the last rope bridge you hear a chuckle as your lantern light reveals the miner you met before except most of him has been twisted into a demon with madness in his eyes. He toys with a dagger as he saws one of the ropes of the bridge. "Don't you see there is no point in resisting. I told you to leave. Step one more foot forward and I will plunge you and this bridge into the rocks and water below." says the miner.
Duncan is able to stop the Shadow demon then it dissipates into thin air.

"Let's head back this way and south. Seems like this might be the 'rim' of this mine." Duncan says, heading East and then Southward.

This may not be the ideal place to rest, but I will leave it to the party if you want to have a short rest.
If the party decides to rest please roll perception.
what do you do?
Aisha nods listening to Duncan, "It may not be the safest place to rest but rest is good to keep up on."
