Kasbis says to the miner, “Don’t do that, hold right there! Let’s talk for a minute. Perhaps we can still help you, still help - each other.” He gives a glance down below, ascertaining how far the drop is, looking to see what lies below them. “Listen to me, tell us how to help you! Just put down the dagger, okay? We can talk this over…”
Persuasion : 7 If any help is given, an 8 (dammit).

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.

Seeing the words fall of deaf eats, Duncan looks to what used to be a man and readies himself for a quick leap or attack, though also glances down and below him hoping to spot a place to land should he need it.

Aisha holds her hands off to the side, "We said we're here to help, and that's what we will do. Show whomever is attempting to control you that you are strong enough to resist and fight back. You say there's no point in resisting but every moment spent resisting is a moment closer to being freed. There is no point in cutting loose this bridge, the only issue it may cause for us is that we might get a little wet."
Kasbis sees what is happening and nudges Gaz in his inner pocket, he starts to run across the bridge to knock the devilish miner with a dagger away from the rope bridge. As he’s moving across, Gaz moves forward and entwines himself around the feet of the mad miner, hopefully helping Kasbis in his effort to knock him over, to knock him down. Kasbis runs as hard as he can, but he is not as skilled as his battle master, he slams into the miner with all of his effort and a sick little grunting sound escapes him, he didn’t have as big of an impact as he imagined.
Athletics check (with help from Gaz) : 5 🤦♂️

Aisha gives an empathetic look, "Never is a long time to be so certain of. We've done things others thought weren't possible before we can do it again. Elestine's gifts can do amazing things."

While talking Aisha's eyes frequently dart to Kasbis and Duncan to see what their doing, giving her an almost shifty appearance.

Duncan rushes forward to get off of the bridge, and also hoping to stop the demon-man from its plans, swinging his glaive as he approaches. Though seeing the others attempting to deal with the man, Duncan swings non-lethally.
Kasbis bends down and picks up the dagger. He cuts a section of rope and ties the miner’s hands and feet, using mending to make the knot one loop and even tighter. He looks to the section to the north, looking for what is being mined, looking for any further movement, or anything out of place.
Perception : 21
If he sees nothing notable, he urges them to continue south, Kasbis will lead in front, moving slowly in stealth.

Duncan nods in approval of the magic to tie the man up, saying, “I would just have likely put him down. Perhaps he can be saved though.” He then points towards the more narrow path and says, “Follow close behind,” leading the group.
Aisha makes her way off the bridge, "Thanks for sparing him Kas, I really hope we can help him. I really like that trick with the spell while tying him up." Before moving into the narrow passage behind Duncan she takes a deep breath and balls her fists preparing to enter the tight area.

The miner is not shoved down
Something Aisha says gives him pause "I will never be me again, don't you see I will be one of them. What hope is there for me"
The rope is already quite frayed and will snap if the miner continues to cut at it.
