Naru also rocks from the sudden movements but is able to maintain balance. He agrees with Alabaster.
"Yeah, we should get moving back onto the main deck if we found what we're looking for," he says before heading towards the newly created ladder. The lights will follow him up, but he will leave two of them below if he isn't the last one up the ladder as to shed light on the ladder for anyone left below.
(The box was in a crate for a reason, its at least half the size of the crate. It is unable to fit in your pack. And with Shafir's strength, he'll have speed penalty of -30 feet.)
The rocking doesn't stop as it feels like the ship is being pushed and pulled in different directions. Something punches through the cargo deck, a tentacle cracked through the hull of the ship and starts to flail about. It knocks about the ghasts as the orc heads to the upper deck. You can hear the orc shouting but is quickly drowned out as more tentacles break through.
(With the ship being attacked, its terrain is now considered difficult. Any climbing or stairs shall require Athletics check.)
"Damn the sea beast is back. Lets get out of here" yells Shafir. The box is too heavy. He looks to his companions "Can someone hold onto the box. Its too heavy for me"
Barkas helps Shafir to carry the box up, but also calls for more help from any of the stronger members of the group. He quickly casts guidance to help as well, calling on the strength of nature and his connection to the weave to help him bring this box up onto the upper deck.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
(Barkas and Shafir both rolled 19, who goes first? By Critical Role rules, higher Dex goes first (Barkas in this case) or rollies, but DM can change that.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dex Save: 12
Alabaster will carry the box. Focusing on the natural energy around him, the roaring wind, the frothing waves, his jaws tight in concentration as he draws in the power, coursing through the muscles. Holding the box with one hand, he draws one of the handaxe, and slashes towards the tentacle nearest to him.
Bonus Action: Rage
Attack: 26 Damage: 15
If hits, add 3 radiant damage

Barkas heads up right after Shafir, using shape water to help him in his creation of an exit, heading back to the main deck as quickly as he can.

"Damn it, we really aren't getting a break, are we!" says Naru, trying to get ready for combat.

(Sorry for delay, was looking for a suitable tentacle token but dimensions were too weird for it.)
Octopus: 9
Spiders: 16
Current location: Cargo Deck
(Unfortunately had no ladders so used stairs instead.)
(Will be using side initiative so groups shall take their turns together.)
(Two characters carrying the box will combine their STR scores. And for speed reference)
The tentacles thrash about the ship, seeking to wreck the insides and whoever is in its way.
(On the start of your turn, DEX save, DC 10, on fail take 3. If pass, no damage shall be taken.)
(Barkas and Shafir both rolled 19, who goes first? By Critical Role rules, higher Dex goes first (Barkas in this case) or rollies, but DM can change that.)
(It's side initiative so the party shall act as one. I took the average for the party.)
