"As far as the map goes, it is accurate. When it comes to terrain however, i will venture to say, you know it better. Regardless, we should be pretty close."
Hadrian placed the sheepskin parchment back into his waist pack. He closed his eyes and focused internally to invoke "Second Wind".
“Aye.” Jetsam said, wiping off the crossbow bolt he’d pulled from the thug’s chest and returning it to his quiver, then picking up the shattered halves of the other and frowning at it. “Seems that way to me, too.”

Are there any features across or top of it that can be used as a strong obstruction? I have 50 ft of rope and a javelin (no grappling hook). I aim to use the Javelin to wound the rope then pull to tie it up. we can either swing across or use it as a rope bridge granted that we have another rope in this team as a guide. I also have enough length on it to put a knot making it easier to climb and hold on to. that is all I have available. any other options we have?

Hadrian looked around. the team currently has 100 ft of rope and javelins/crossbows. Looking around for a strong branch, a large boulder or anything that can be used to anchor the rope.
"Well.... we can throw Jerry?"*looks at Jerry with a smile* "That was a joke my feline friend"
Hadrain with a 23 you seen at least a large tree on the other side that lines up with a large tree on this side.
Ha ha real funny guys.
Tommy moves a step backwards.
I like the plan but won't you loose your rope. Maybe if you tie the rope so Jerry could pull on it to loosen you can real it back in. Then I could dismiss Jerry and resummon him tonight.
Hadrian make an attack roll AC 10 but the higher the easier the check to get across is

OoC: ranch big office lol.
With an 18 you hit a tree and get a solid hold and make a solid slip knot on this side.
DC to cross: 30-18=12
Everyone make a athletics check to cross the rope bridge. DC 12. On a fail you fall unto the gorge and take 5d6 damage and are washed down stream and we will have to find you.
As jetsam reached the other side, he pulled the javelin from the tree and reeled in the rope with Jerry on the other end. He looped it over his shoulder and set off downstream on a quick trot to find Tommy and Hadrian.

Well hopefully we have seen the last of that gang. Hadrain, you have been mapping our progress right? How far we come? Have to be getting close now.
Tommy looks up, the sun is starting to get low on the mountains to the north.
We should press on the sun will be setting behind the mountains soon.
[Ooc: 13.5/15 miles traveled so far]
Ok-a bit busy now though sorry)

Fair I guess. These woods are strange though I've walked some of these paths multiple times and the area is different each time.
After another mile or so the party can start to see a camp fire off in the distance.
Must be the camp that guy talked about or you know another bandit camp.
After another few minutes the party pops out of the trees to find themselves before a large gorge. There is a sign that says
WARNING BRIDGE OUT AHEAD
The gorge is 30 feet across and 100 ft deep. There is no obvious aways across you can see.
Well now what?

Let's roll for it. Perception, nature, or investigation
Another option we have is to make a loop in a rope (since they’re50 ft) and try to lasso a tree or rock on the other side.
Perception:21

(Sorry, I was moving offices and It went bad. Would you allow a maneuver since I am making an attack?)

OOC-Oh dang)
I don’t have to deal with an office. My family owns a ranch and I cowboy on it.
We actually just finished roundup yesterday.)

Jerry unties the knot and Tarzan swings to the other side.

Tommy and Hadrain fall into the water below taking 16 Damage. They are swept 2 thousand feet down stream before they can make it to shore.
