Ooc: I am so so sorry that I have been afk!!!! I was on spring break vacation, and we just started MCAs.... But, now that I'm back into the groove of things I should be able to post!!!!
Drax recognizes the danger the priests pose, knowing the power magic wielders hold, and charges the remaining green preist.
Move: 30 ft to priest.... Hopefully that gets me in range?
Shortly after Zanoth pulverized the remaining priest, Lucky's sniper shot out of the treeline caught the red-scaled warrior near Gor right in the neck. Gor watched the arrow come popping out the front of his neck right through his adam's apple and got hot arterial blood sprayed all over his face. That was certainly a bit gross, but watching the warrior fall to the ground choking with blood pooling underneath him and glistening in the moons' light made that feeling disappear quickly. Gor seized the advantage of no longer having anything in his path and lashes out with his conjured whip to lacerate the green-scaled acolyte and pull her directly towards the now smoldering campfire. She narrowly avoids landing on the ground amidst the smoking logs, but is able to keep her feet, barely. At the exact same time Drax swings his axe at the red scaled warrior in front of him, but the dragonborn is a combat veteran and parries the axe swing with relative ease. As it does, though Mill's arrow slams deep into its other leg piercing through armor and flesh. The creature roars in pain, a roar that sounds entirely too much like a dragon's roar for anyone's liking. In retaliation it lashes out with its spear right at Drax's face, but the wily barbarian upswings his axe and alters the spear's momentum sending it cutting harmlessly through the air at his side.
The green skinned acolyte seeing that she is now right next to the towering behemoth that is Zanoth turns tail and tries to make a run for it, but Zanoth is too agile to allow someone who turns their back to him to go unpunished (Opportunity Attack rolls are in the log). He slams the point of his spear directly through the back of her head as she turns. Sadly, for Gor, he has to watch again as a pointy metal object protrudes out the front of a dragonborn's face, and once again gets sprayed with hot blood. Zanoth pulls back his spear and the acolyte falls to the ground.
Realizing he is not only severely outmatched, but also terribly injured the remaining warrior, the red-scaled dragonborn standing toe to to with Drax throws down his spear and shield and holds up his clawed hands in a sign of surrender. "Enough!" He yells with a harsh bass voice. "You have won. I put myself at your mercy."
[Whew! You all made short work of that crew, even with some of you being exhausted. We're out of combat, the only dragonborn of the bunch left alive is one of the red-scaled fighters, and he is barely clinging to life (1HP). Have fun with your interrogation! :-P]
Lucky picks up his dropped weapons and gathers his salvageable arrows. He then whip in hand walks over to join Zanoth giving the help action to anyone who integrates the surviver
Zanoth turns, and thrusts his spear straight at the remaining Red Dragonborn.
”No lose ends”.
/OOC
I’ll do “non-lethal” damage, aka.. to knock unconscious (assuming hit & goes to zero). We can then strip, tie-up and then heal to 1 (Paladin healing hands) if we want to interrogate it.
Action: Spear attack; to hit 17 for 5 piercing.
Bonus Action: Spear butt (PM) attack; to hit 22 for 6 bludgeoning if the spear does not bring to zero hp.
Gor dripping in blood is not too happy that his clothes are stained and that he won't get a bath for who knows how long. He begins to wipe his face off at the very least and approaches the prisoner to interrogate them. Before he could say anything Zanoth attacks to finish off the Dragonborn. "Well that is one way to deal with those who have surrendered....not the preferred method....2 hits even....It would seem to me to be overkill but I am unsure of the customs here. When someone surrenders does that mean a swift death?"
In a world of magic and deception, surrender is only sure when your enemy is tied up naked in-front of you. Until then, even the very armour one wears can provide succour.

Mills scratches his beard. "That's not zactly how I might've said it, but... Not precisely wrong. Let's look for our missing thing-a-muh-jig." Mills looks for the doodad
(Assuming the 2 non-lethal hits knock the Red Dragonborn unconscious);
Zanoth touches the Red Dragonborn lightly, a small well of light emanating from his hand stabilizing the creature, and strips it armour, clothing and any other items, then ties its hands and feet.
/OOC I have +6 Intimidation and Drax has +3. We could try Help (for adv.)
It doesn't take Mills very long to locate the amulet in question. The black-scaled priest had it in a satchel laying next to his bedroll. As soon as Mills touches the amulet, he can feel that familiar hum that all items imbued with magic have. That little tingle that makes the hairs on your arm stand up for a second, and sends a short rush of adrenaline all through your body. The pendant of the necklace is polished amber cut in a decagon with silver gilded across each line, so that it appears almost like a pie of ten slices. Four smaller precious stones adorn the top, bottom and left and right sides. On the top a perfect circle of moonstone. On the bottom a half-circle of carnelian, on the left a crescent of opal, and on the right a crescent of mother-of-pearl. It doesn't take the Ranger long to realize that the four smaller gems are supposed to represent the four moons of Eafphqu. The carnelian is obviously supposed to be the moon the D'rak revere, Thgol.
While searching for the amulet Mills comes across some coins and other interesting items: 21 cp, 3 holy amulets of Kraiula (5 gp), a list of several taverns scattered throughout the Highland Kingdom, several ribbons; 11 cp, a block of soap, a flask of wine, an iron key; 17 cp, a lock (10 gp), a map of an unnamed castle; 18 sp, a bounty for renegade dragonborn, a tattered map of the Highland Kingdom; 5 sp, a set of merchant's weights, a small pouch of chalk.
Meanwhile Zanoth has the red-scaled dragonborn that he knocked unconscious stripped to just his underclothes, tied up, and stirring slightly as he applies some of his healing magic to keep him from dying.
"We could leave him for those folks coming up behind. A little gift wrapped up nice. But I think someone has to pay for those folks in town. He'll do just fine."
He will gather the stuff he finds into his pack like he's a hoarder
Also, does the bounty post have a description matching Drax?
No. Sorry, was waiting to see if anybody took any particular interest in any of the pieces before offering details. The bounty says the following: "To Her Majesty Kraiula's loyal servants. A bounty has been placed on any dragonborn defectors. Fifty gold pieces for proof of death accompanied by proof of defection. Two hundred gold pieces for live captures. All evidence to be turned into Inquisition agents for payment." It is also sealed with the same five pointed, curved star that marks the holy symbols of Kraiula.
Let’s get this prisoner on a horse, scrub the evidence and get out of here. Mills, can you hide our tracks ? Don’t want to be a target ourselves for the next band of mercenaries!

Mills scratches his head as he reads the bounty.
"Yeah. There are some questions for this feller yet."
He will then do his best to scrub tracks of which way we went, although I'm not positive what sort of roll for that. Survival? Stealth? 20 and another for adv/disadv 4
Gor looks at the situation after finding no journal or notes. "Seems our best course of action is to get some rest. I propose we stay here by the fire and wait for the cave dwellers to arrive. We hide the bodies and make it look like this is where we slept for the night. The one that is alive has a choice to make. Remain quiet and hidden out of sight or a swift death...unless we want to make a show of it that we captured one of them, although I am not sure why we would want to do that"
As Zanoth sits on his horse, Mills and Lucky erasing any tracks behind them he turns and looks at Gor;
”If I remember correctly Gor, when you were spying on the other bounty hunters earlier (#302) they didn’t seem too keen on us getting the amulet, and even threatened to hurt us and take it off us.. no, I’m out of here”.

Covered a few tracks in my day but usually in a more urban setting.
