[ooc] just making sure we aren’t waiting on me. I show group 1 as before me in Initiative. I want to have an idea of where everyone is when Sebastian arrives on deck.
Something in the air certainly is inciting these creatures, and their burbling and frenzied attacks leave blood spattered all over the deck! One of the passengers is able to take one of the Sahuagin down in the battle, but the many others leave wounds that may prove fatal to some! The five adventurers are in the thick of it, defending themselves and the ship with blows and magic against the invaders! The small group of larger shark-men are engaged with these adventurers, and give as good as they get.
OOC - Group 3 are the four large ones, Group 1 and 2 are on either side of the ship in general melee.
“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar

Sebastian arrives on the deck and is surprised at the amount of Sahaguin that are present. He heard a voice of command though and he thinks he knows what they were after. Seeing the adventurers set upon by the larger ones, he takes aim hoping to free them up to help the others. He does however keep an eye out for the voice he had heard. The voice of command.
hex on the most wounded of the larger ones of group 3 and fill it with an arrowhead.

Insight to see if he can figure out who the leader seems to be. 16 ADV 6
(I'm still going to wait until my turn. As designated healer I could do with knowing how the battle is faring before deciding what spells would be appropriate. I do have other things though, clerics are more than healers... :-( )
S'ika looked over the deck and let out an audible gasp. She has never seen so many Sahaguin. As she stands there in the doorway, one foot on the deck, she sees four large Sahaguin. Looking at them, she knows instantly that they are the ones to beat. She then grips her dagger with her free hand and draws some blood from the other. S'ika uses that blood to casts Bane level 2 on the four large Sahaguin.
(First time using a caster. Says the attack/save is 13. So do I still roll for that? Just in case. Here is a roll. 15)
Sebastian's arrow finds it's mark at almost the same time the creature drives his trident through the body of one of the adventurers! As it's opponent drops hard to the deck, it swiftly turns as it looks up the deck to locate the source of the arrow, but gets pulled back into the battle as another of the group swings short swords at it!
Insight reveals that there doesn't seem to be a leader there. Your knowledge of the language, however, tells you that the speaker was female, of which there are none in sight.
S'ika's spell envelops the four large beasts and there is a coruscation of light and energies that ripple over their bodies as competing Realms of Good and Evil have an ethereal battle of their own on each of them! Two of the beasts seem to shrug off the effects, but the dancing energies continue on the other two.
Your Attack/save is considered the DC or Difficulty Class and is the target number for the enemy saving throws. In this particular case, the effects of your spell seem to be in direct conflict with an opposing spell of similar nature.
*NOTE* At this point, 2 of Group 1 are down, 1 of Group 2 and none of Group 3. All have some injuries, except for Group 3, of which only one is currently injured. Two of Group 2 are Held. There are 8 crew and passengers down out of a total fighting number of 22, mostly passengers. Group 3 is doing the majority of damage to the defenders. New round starts next post with Carolinas. Sal can act as she chooses this turn and be included before the start of next round.

Sal, seeing the downed people, thinks quick on how to get them out of there. She uses a Aid to select three of the passengers, restoring them by 5 hit points, as well as increasing their maximum. "Get to cover!" She yells to them, hoping they will disengage and get moving. She steps forward, not directly into combat, but ready to block any pursuing sahuagin who may chase after the passengers.
For his bonus action, he moves the Flaming Sphere to damage the formidable foes in Group 3. Damaging as many as possible, while taking care to not hit any that have fallen asleep.
Carolina's irresistible spell takes hold on only one of the battling creatures, and it drops to the deck with a thud. The sphere rolls on, lightly searing the backs of the combatants as the recently healed rise and scramble out of the way! The battle rages on, the larger Sahuagin trying to take down the adventurer group. While no more passengers go down at this point, the beasts are fully engaged with the adventurer party now, and magic and skill compete between them.

Having Hex'd one of the enemies closest to Sal, Rook fires off an eldritch blast at the same foe. He begins to walk forward, trying to move through the crowd without putting himself into too much danger until he can make his way to his friend and the ship's healer.
Eldritch blast attack: 11
EB damage: 10
Hex damage: 6
Armor of Agathys at lvl 2 is up for temp HP and backlash damage.
I think I forgot to say, so let's say Rook hexed the targets WIS before, just for fun.
With a little disappointment at only one enemy falling asleep, he yells to Bruz, "Maybe you can turn that one into novel sausages later?!" pointing at the sleeping Sahuagin.

Rook's attack is able to take down one of the enemy, the eldritch energies splashing against it's still-wet back and searing a hole! His attempt at moving through the melee to his friend is difficult, but none of the people he moves around are enemies, as there is still distance between him and the Sahuagin. More cries of pain are heard as two more battling passengers go down from enemy actions, but an additional foe falls to the deck, cut wide open.

Sal will prioritise the already fallen passengers with another Aid, once again yelling to them to retreat as best they can. (Think there's six currently on the deck; four from last round and two from this one. She'll go for three that fell initially.) She'll step further into the fray, now exhausted of higher spells, she will need to use other spells to keep people safe. She raises her shield anticipating attacks from the sahuagin.

Through the fighting on the deck, S'ika notices Sebastian looking over into the water. Which is pretty strange to do in the middle of a battle like this. Since she is at a pretty safe distance, and is extremely curious, she decides to slowly walk over to the side closes to her and peek over the edge. Hopefully it actually isnt a waste of time.

Sylrea "Joan " Lightbringer - Variant Human - Paladin 2/Bard 1 - An adventure of amazing proportions and mixed madness
Looking up at the ship and mostly submerged in the water below, is a female Sahuagin, surrounded by a half dozen sharks. When she sees Sebastian peering down, she hisses loudly and a piercingly bright bolt of energy races up to hit him, but misses! When S'ika joins him at the rail, she calls out loudly in her language. There is a change on deck as all the Sahuagin focus on the adventurers exclusively, trying to take them down! It doesn't bode well for them!
*NOTE* All attacks directed against the Sahuagin from this point forward are done with advantage. They are focused entirely on the 4 adventurers remaining. One of the Held monsters has freed itself.
