Odd Tommy will point near area from where the flying creature took to the air, uttering a word of power in a guttural tongue as he does so. A bonfire appears on the ground next where the creature stood lighting up the area. Odd will approach the bonfire to stand next to it, looking up at the sky to see if he can see the creature.
Sep points out the planchette and uses the butt end of his spear to poke it out of the flames, picking it up and looking at it curiously. “What is this? How did this get here?”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Sep points out the planchette and uses the butt end of his spear to poke it out of the flames, picking it up and looking at it curiously. “What is this? How did this get here?”
The planchette is decorated with bird skulls and also near the planchette in the fire are a couple of black feathers.
When he heard Sep's questions, Desmond approaches the bonfire to see what he was talking about. When he saw the planchette he raised a brow slightly before looking at the fire. "Perhaps the creature accidentally dropped it while they were taking off. If that is the case then it might come back to look for it once it realizes that it's missing."
Dack goes to the group and observes the item and says "Well whatever it is it maybe we should leave it or maybe it posses some type of magic that gives me an idea." Dack will cast detect magic on the planchette to see if it's magical.
The planchette doesn't eminate any magic what so ever.
Odd will cause the fire to extinguish and see if he can examine the feathers if they aren't burned. He will restart the bonfire about 20 feet away, curious to see if there is any reaction from the mists.

The feathers are abnormaly large and humanoid sized. When you restart the bonfire the mists part a small bit.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sep takes the feathers and looks further at the planchette, trying to sort this out. “What is the meaning of this? Anyone have any ideas? I’ve never seen one of these before, but it looks important..”

"I don't know if the markings on it have a special meaning but it does look like it could have some sort of meaning to it." Desmond says with a little shrug of his shoulder then he takes a breath and shifts his gaze towards the mists. "I can't say that I've seen one of these for certain but there is a small chance that I have and just can't recall it."

Finn is going to see if the light from the fire can help him to see the creature. Perception check:16
If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.
Sep looks for any movement and listens for any sound. He comes over to stand by the bonfire.

The creature is gone without a trace except...there is a planchette in the middle of the bonfire. It does not burn and just sits there.

The light from the camp fire does not show anything except the mist starting to gather around the area of the bonfire, and the cross roads.
Finn gave up, unable to see anything except mist. He saw the planchette as well. “What’s that?”

Finn stepped over and looked at it, then shook his head.

"I have no memory of this....maybe some of the others do." Odd tilts his head slightly as if listening to someone, but then just shakes his head.
