"I'd say we split up."Raiden pipes up as he cautiously peeks out of the door before asserting that the coast is clear and shows his entire appearance. "Half of us go check on Aya to see if she needs further treatment and the other half investigate on creating an antidote. Preferably the ones who have some knowledge in medicine and healing go towards her whilst the rest of us do some research. It will be more efficient this way and we can report on what we have encountered once we have regrouped. And if this is a safe place, we shouldn't have to run into the actual ninjas often."

He turns to Pearlin and asks "You're coming too right?"

Okay, we'll just have to move on. Raiden, who are you going with?
Healing folks:
You make your way back to the throne room. The elf stays behind to take the others to the library while you make your way back to the throne room by yourselves. You get some strange looks from the rigidly patrolling guards in gold-and-magenta armor, but manage to find your way there. When you open the door, you see that the queen is kneeling by Aya's side, desperation painted on her delicate features. She looks up as you walk in. "Is there any way you can help?" she says urgently, and in this moment she is not a monarch but a worried mother. "Please, she won't stop bleeding."
Library folks:
You are led to a large room decorated similarly to the rest of the palace, arranged around a circular area in the center. Concentric shelves of scrolls radiate outward from this focal point to the edges of the room, which holds small garden alcoves with carefully tended bamboo plants and orchids. the whole area is lit with softly glowing blue orbs of floating light instead of lanterns. "The catalog is over here, but I'm afraid it's not very well-organized," says the elf, leading you to an area with a librarian's desk (an elf who looks about four hundred years old is seated at it) and a smaller shelf with a large stack of papers on it.
Jorm approaches the seated Elf "Hello there. I am Jorm. A guest here. I was attacked by some crazed ninja who attempted to kill one of my companions. This attack has not stopped bleeding. Some sort of poison perhaps causing me to bleed continuously....Perhaps there are books on how to end this miserable situation?"
Raiden follows behind Jorm as the two of them head inside the library. "We need your help actually. This poison isn't ordinary and none of us have any idea on what the chemicals inside even make up the stuff that's in our blood right now. We're here to identify what it is before we can produce some sort of antidote and distribute it to those who have also been affected. Are there any books that you might provide us some useful info?" He follows up before glancing over at the stacked book to see if anything catches his eye.

"Your highness, I'm afraid the two of us here don't know much about whatever is poisoning her." The siren approaches alongside Trey. "But for now, we'll do what we can to improve her survival. Do your best to bandage the wound so that the bleeding slows down a little. I'll help with the wrapping and make sure it's tight until we can find an antidote."

Ravnodaus has let me know that, unfortunately, he has been (temporarily) banned from forums, so until that ban is removed he's DMing me and telling me what Trey is doing. So Trey goes up to Aya and casts lesser restoration. With that, and Pearlin's medicine, Aya's eyes flutter open. She groans, looking around at you all. "So, there's a small chance that I left the palace grounds after being directly told not to..." she says, her sheepish grin looking more like a pained grimace. The Empress looks relieved but also cross. Before she can scold Aya, however, a samurai comes into the room and bends over to speak to her. She bows her head at his words. "Tamashi, you and Aya are the only nobles who escaped the attack. The leaders Nakagore clan left the city early this morning. And now there are reports that their army is mustering."
The librarian looks quite startled. "Um, what? Er, I'll find some books on poison. Uh, please don't touch anything if you won't stop bleeding. Um." He shuffles off among the shelves. Raiden, you spot a volume titled Dangerous Poisons of the Deep Forest that looks like it might have something to do with...poison... and one that doesn't relate in any way to the situation but looks elaborate and interesting titled The Lessons of Great Dragon Teacher Akatokionosi. The elf who led you here picks up the catalog and flips through it absentmindedly. "I've already done some looking since you arrived, and I didn't find anything. As Master Librarian, I'm fairly sure I know what's in my own library. If only I had an unpolluted sample of the poison I could analyze. I'm afraid that the poison in your wounds won't do the job. Too much blood mixed in with it."

"I wouldn't know where to get the unpolluted version since I don't know what kind of poison it is" Jorm getting impatient with the librarian says rather bluntly "So in this entire library there are no books on poison. I find that rather unbelievable"
"Well, you don't always have to look at the big picture, Jorm." Raiden steps up, knowing that the possibility of not being able to find such Intel could occur. "I understand that there are no books that specialize in poison identification. I was thinking that instead of wasting time to find the poison itself, we come back here after we ask someone to analyse what's inside our blood first before they separate the contents. Then once they've identified the stuff that's intefering with out placenta, we come back here then ask the man here so that we can eventually develop the antidote. Start with the foundations first which is getting a sample then we work our way up from there so that we have a plethora of possible outcomes."

"There are... were... twenty-one clans. The Nakagore were one of the more ambitious, but I thought they were all loyal. This scheming and power-grabbing never happens in the Forest. Never.
