This is an ancient dialect of Elvish - hence why you're unsure of exactly what it says - that is used for binding magic to objects. Spell scrolls and similar items are written in this old dialect. You've never seen it used on a weapon before, but you assume that's why it's there.

"Your Grace, these assassins have caused as of yet untold death and chaos, threatening the very fabric of this society. They must be stopped, and I am willing to do whatever it takes to put an end to their nefarious goals. If it means journeying to their stronghold and cutting off their power, then I am more than willing to accept that challenge. I will show no mercy, for they have shown none themselves. They will tremble before my might and beg for mercy that will never come. They will feel the full extent of my wrath and suffer for their crimes. For I have sworn an oath to stamp out all who dare..." As he speaks Trey gets visibly worked up in his anger and righteousness, his aura of fear nearly manifesting, like static in the air. But he catches himself, and shakes himself out of the fervor.
He pauses for a moment, and in a more controlled tone continues, "We may need to consider this could all be a trap, and that it is possible that some other faction seek to turn elf again elf and that those truly responsible want this conflict between clans. How certain are we that the assassins are acting on the order of Nakagore leaders? They must be stopped at all costs, and I will stop at nothing to ensure that they are, but how good is this information?"

I'm probably laughing.
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.
"Well if you happen to remember where and need a translator, I am happy to help. Let's hurry back so we can stop bleeding all over. At this rate, I will need a new robe....or a good laundress"
"Well, the Nakagore all left the city this very morning, just before the assassinations took place, and now their army is mustering and beginning to march towards the City of One Thousand Lanterns, both of which are highly suggestive... but no, we don't have any concrete proof. Perhaps your friend's research will give us that proof. I thank you, humbly, for your willingness to uphold justice in a realm that is not yours... and I swear to you that I shall do everything in my power as Empress of this forest t stop more bloodshed."

I can perhaps lend you mine since I shar some sympathy with the upcoming crisis unfolding in this... forest... whatever it's called."She flicks her emerald green hair to one side before continuing. "But in the meanwhile, we really need to hurry up on countering the poison otherwise we're having a serious problem on our hands. Have your armies been mobilised at the very least yet, in case we need to fight?"

Seria (Female Dragon-In-Disguise Sorcerer, Draconic Bloodline)
You return to the palace without incident, then (I'm assuming) make your way to the library. The Master Librarian is sitting in a chair, looking worried, but he stands up and appears relieved when you arrive. "Good, you're back. Wait, is this it? This changes everything. Contact poison and poison magic are two very different things... though poison magic is very rare, this gives me some idea on how to treat it. First, though, I'll see if I can ritually learn more about it. Most poison magic that is imbued into a blade has a connection to some sort of source of poison magic, a reservoir if you will... I may be able to suspend the magic, but won't be neutralized until you destroy the source. Now, let's see if we can find where that source is, and what kind of magic this is." He walks over to a desk, opens a drawer, and pulls out three objects: a feather, a pearl, and a candle. He lights the candle, then sits cross legged on the floor and begins looking intently at the knife, holding the pearl and feather in his hands.
"Yes, of course. The armies are guarding the city gates at this very moment. However, I think that what truly decides the outcome of this will not be here at the city. The Nakagore know that it is nearly impossible to effectively lay siege to a floating city, so the actions of individuals, not mass warfare, will turn the tide. That is where adventurers like you come in."

"I'm just as shocked honestly. When i first picked up the knife, the metal was clean and shiny, without. There was no scent, no liquid or anything that would give it it away as poisonous. It's a perfect weapon for dealing lethal strikes without exposing a single bit of evidence even on the victim itself, don't you think?"

There are some books on antimagic and similar things that could dispel or suspend magic. You also find several treatises on the Multiverse and theories about Inustwaith's connection to the larger nature of existence, but after flipping through them you can see that they're mostly just wondering why the Hells people from other universes keep ending up in the White City. Some of them suggest that it might have to do with a massive amount of magic released there at the end of the First Age, which you don't know about. Nothing on how to actually traverse the multiverse.

After about a minute, the elf opens his eyes, stands up, and goes over to the desk, where he opens a drawer and removes five brooches of clear crystal. He touches the knife to each, causing them to turn emerald green. He then hands one to each of you and says, "I found the source of the poison magic. It's at or underneath Nagakore Castle, the stronghold of one of the clans. These will suppress the magic of the dagger for as long as you wear them, but the only way to truly get rid of it is to destroy whatever is in the castle that's providing the magic. You should take these to your friends in the throne room and the princess, and tell them about the castle." He hands the other three to Jorm.

"Your highness," Raiden begins as he opens the wooden door and enters. "It appears that the source for this poison belonged somewhere deep within some clan that's in the Nakagore Region. Turns out whatever weapon that was used was enchanted with something that they're hiding from us underground. Unless if we destroy that artefact, there's no way we can halt whatever is affecting our bloodstream." He signals Jorm to reveal the temporary antidotes for the poison.
"Oh! You two fluffballs are back! Did you discover anything of good use?" Pearlin asks as she notices Jorm and Raiden regrouping with her and Trey.
"We have five crystals here that will suppress the poison as long as you wear them, Trey-chan, Aya-san and Miss what-is-your- Wait. WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST CALL ME?!" Raiden screams as he takes one of the crystals from and prepares to throw at the siren who teased him.
