Cruce nods... then suddenly remembers something...
"They come out at night. The creatures here. They're nocturnal... at least I think they are. Been up that damn rope so long I can't remember yesterday. There's more than one group, too..."
He taps the side of his head with his finger.
"I guess I still got something working up here, huh? We should probably look around while it's light. Or... when it's light. When is it NOW anyway?"

Most predators on the surface are nocturnal. Under the surface other patterns emerge. In this area there are two tribes of Troglodyte.
For those of you who knocked through the wall, you see an ancient ruin. Bright light shines down from the ceiling. Jungle has over taken portions around the edges, but the city is intact. A warm mist is in the air. You smell the combined scent of vegetation, moisture, soil, and decaying plants and wood. It smells like life. You see nothing larger than insects that devoured the abundant fruit the hung from the trees.
"I've... smuggled... a bit in my day and an old friend enchanted this rope for me. Let's me use Rope Trick 3 times until I rest a night... It's handy for hiding precious cargo... and keeping myself out of harm's way."
"Maybe we should rest for a bit, wait until dawn, and make a plan... There are some crashed ships out there to check out... but we'll need to time the day/night cycle..."
Yom prepares his armour for the day, activating certain settings and projections for his magics. With his right hand glowing with a bright light, he presses a stud on his arm, and a slight shimmer appears over him fading quickly. He then touches himself, Ronin and Abrax and another glow briefly surround them.
”So.. we getting out of here or what ? Seems like there is a city down there, probably opportunities for friends, adventure, loot or if we are lucky, a quick death..

Prepare spells for the day (some swaps)
Turn the 30’ bright + 30’ dim light of my Radiant Weapon on
Activate 1 charge of Defensive Field (6 temp HP)
Cast Aid on myself, Abrax and Ronin.. +5 MAX and Current HP each.
Larger buildings start to appear as you move further into the ancient city.
Some structures seem miraculously untouched by time, while others crumbled to dust.
At a central square, a large well naturally bubbles up from a still working fountain. Water spouts from four coiled snakes making rainbows through the air in the omnipresent light. The whole rounded surface of the cavern ceiling gave a soft continuous light.
Ronin says, "Then we are of a like mind, Captain. I'm going to start breaking down this wall to make sure our camp is secure, any objections?"
Ronins waits for a response...

Cruce would have also known about the cave around your original crash site. It wasn't inhabited at that time though.
Ronin turn to everyone else and says, "Can anyone explain how he has access to a rope that appears to tear through reality?"

At the end of a central lane, there is a large green stone temple.
It is a rope that casts Rope Trick. It is like an escape hatch. This one doesn't end.
Cruce holds up the rope.

"I've always wanted to die... just never got around to it yet."
Cruce pulls from the jug of (now) beer, and smirks.
"Speak for yourself, i was built to last and destroy everything else..." Ronin responds to the rest as Yom does his work to him (Many thx!)
"I will go first..." Ronin proceeds to walk to and explore the city

A green stone road extends into the distance. Jungle extends away from the road. No weeds encroach upon the path.
In the distance, a stone temple dominates the horizon.
A short walk down the road and small structures start to appear. Many are crumbling in on them selves.
