Pausing for a few minutes in the dining hall as the others gather briefly for dinner before wandering off to their own rooms, Wil nods to each as they offer up little tidbits of info about their pre-sanctuary lives. He offers only, "Actually, the timing probably couldn't be better for me, if I'm to be picked for ...well, whatever this guardianship is. I was ... between jobs, anyway, and frankly, a bit lost for direction, so this suits me as good as anything, I suppose. There's no one .. now.. to miss my appearance back in East Bastian. And 've unfinished business there, but it can keep. I'm not re4ally up that particular challenge just yet, anyhow..."
He looks a bit haunted for a moment as he drifts away in his thoughts, his expression a mix of guilt, sorrow, and vengeance. Then, retuning to the present, he offers up a brief smile, then says, "well, off to bed myself, I suppose - I have Luna keeping watch on our guest; if anything changes, I'll let you know. Probably best to let her sleep and recover. See you all later; I look forward to further exploration, and comparing notes. G'night!"
He then, too, heads towards his picked quarters for the evening, tired after his lesson with the kitchen, but determined to get up early and begin again to fix the group a decent breakfast before continuing to learn more about their new space, and duties.

Ulmuur spends a good time up in the west tower. He heads down and find Manira still in the courtyard. He will say to her. "Come now, we should go get some sleep. No sense in being exhausted for no reason. The mystery will be here in the morning." He will help Manira up, then head to the rooms and pick one of the remaining ones for himself. He searches through his room, looking at all the nooks and crannies to see if there is anything hidden in here. Investigation + Guidance21
After his search, he will go to the balcony to look out at the sky and sea. Eventually, he'll lie down and try to sleep. But in his mind, he keeps seeing the wounded dragon. After some time, he casts druidcraft to see if there is any rain this evening. Then he takes his bed roll from his pack and a blanket and heads back to the courtyard. He finds a place that is close by the sleeping dragon, but outside of her swiping range. He settles down to sleep under the strange night sky.
He dreamed of the tower. He dreamed of the search for the Beam, and of the endless walk through the wasteland. And he dreamed of the roses, the sea of roses around the tower, and of Susan...
He he woke up in cold sweat...
Roland sat up, his head pounding, his chest heaving. He looked around the room and then settled his eyes on the dying embers of the fire he'd built the night before while he settled his hat back onto his head. He reached for his poke and pulled it from his shirt pocket, unwrapped his pipe, and lit a wad of tobacco in the bowl before checking his gun, his shield, his armor, and setting out.
He exited the tower and went straight to the courtyard to find the dragon that he'd left sleeping there the night before...
There is a subtle calm that settles over the sanctuary as those who find themselves here rest for the first night. The strange colored cloudy sky seems to dim darker and darker and eventually the sky is just shades of dark rainbow like colors. Those by the dragon can hear her slow but steady breathing as she sleeps. The dragon was certainly through a lot and barely managed to survive. What life awaits a dragon without the ability to fly though? She is missing an entire wing. When she wakes up it is highly likely to be a trying time for her. As an amethyst dragon its hard to tell how they will react to. Their personalities seem to vary as much as humans. What little the heroes here have been able to tell is she fiercely wants to survive but beyond that its hard o tell anything about her.
Sleep comes to those who want it. (Long a long rest if you like) Their dreams however, are suddenly united for once. Every single one of you has the same dream. You see the fountain full past bursting but the water doesn't spill over instead it creates a large globe of water above it that is a globe of a world. Not yours but some other world. You all notice the fountain doesn't have any other globes around the base this time. The massive globe is at first pristine and clear but a single drop of black stagnant and unmoving water touches the globe. Then it spreads. Slowly at first then quickly until the entire world is black and stagnant. It fills you with a feeling of dread.
Roland
You have your dream in addition to this. However, you see your world and it's current state of being mostly stagnant water. However, there are spots that it is still clear. Hundreds of miles between the small spots of living water. Small and by far not much of it is left.
Although no one find anything of use in their rooms whoever stays outside with the dragon last night will be awoken by a knocking noise on the other side of the dragon. This is followed by a voice calling out "Hello?!? Manira?!" the door tries to open and pushes into the dragon instead. This seems to awaken the dragon who cracks an eye open and slowly awakes in a very groggy state. Too slow in reaction to act before anyone else there.
Ulmuur wakes with a start from his bedroll. He blinks as he reorients himself to the new surroundings. Yes, he was in a courtyard of this mysterious sanctuary. And, oh yes, the Dragon! But, someone was calling and knocking at a door? For Manira?
Ulmuur gets up and see the Roland character, that keeps looking at him strangely, exiting the castle. He'll give Roland a nod. He then looks to the Dragon and sees she has awakened. He will approach the dragon slowly. He says in Draconic.
"Hello, Auntie*. My name is Ulmuur Starwarden of the Gleamscales. I suppose we are the new caretakers for this Sanctuary. We did what we could for you last night, but you are still severally injured. Please, let us help you. There also appears to be someone at the door behind you." *uses the honorific version of the word.
If she allows, he will go to the door and speak. "Hello? Who is there? Did you say Manira? She is here, we can see if she's up. Please don't try to push the door open, you are hitting the dragon."
Manira thoroughly enjoys a room completely and utterly to herself. She absolutely relishes in it as she moves from one corner to the next just looking and touching absolutely everything. I could get used to this place she thinks to herself.
After the dream she has though, she wakes with bit of foreboding, unsure what it meant. Maybe just Roland's talk about other worlds and the cool fountain downstairs? Maybe it was nothing.
Once refreshed, she checks on Ulmuur's room and finds it not only empty, but the bed untouched. Perplexed, she starts heading downstairs. Stomach overruling everything, she heads for the kitchen.
Norwin wakes and peaks over the railing of the balcony and sees Ulmuur and Roland in the courtyard below.(17perception) From this distance she can't tell anything about the dragon. Resting her chin on her crossed arms she watches the two for a bit. "What do you think Rudy? Should we head down or try for some food? We're already in deep with Mama if we head back, but that's only if the dragon moves." heads down to the gate and dragon.
The Gunslinger hears the knocks and begins to respond, but when Ulmuur stirs and warns whoever is on the other side of the door not to push, he nods. Good enough, he thinks. The last thing they need is further intrusion, others to share their space with.
His eyes focus on the dragon.
Space was clearly something they needed to manage at the moment.
"Hail morrow, sai." Roland says as the dragon moves groggily on the ground. He steps around in front of her, so she can see him, and hopes, almost prays, that she remembers last night and doesn't decide to torch him or...well. Whatever it is dragons do. He keeps his hands out and away from his gun so that she can see he's not trying any funny business. "My apologies. I had thought last night you were an animal, but they tell me you are intelligent, like us. I have never met a person quite like you. They tell me you understand what we say, but I do not know your tongue. I cry your pardon, on both accounts."
Wil awakens, after a bit of an unusual dream that leaves him with a sense of foreboding in the morning. Shivering, he quickly jumps out of bed and does his usual morning routine, with a quick mental communication to Luna, who alerts him to the fact that someone is rousing the dragon, by knocking on the door against which she was resting.
realizing that they are going to have a injured, irritable, and soon awake dragon, in their midst, Wil decides to head quickly towards the kitchen, to resume his training and duties as a cook, to prepare food for the party, as well as their overnight guest, and perhaps a newcomer Dash assuming that they can a) get through the door and b), are not immediately eaten by the dragon.

The dragon looks at Ulmuur with a bit a curiosity as they look around confused They speak in draconic again:
"Where am I? How did I get here? Little dragonborn did the others spare me? I thought for sure I was dead."
There is another knock on the door behind the dragon who turns to look at the door in curious fashion. They begin to move but their broken leg and the injury on her side sends sharp spikes of pain. They growl in pain and fail at first to more but greet their teeth and get out of the way. As Roland talks to the dragon it looks to them and says in very bad common, "Speak Common. No much. Draconic, Elvish." the dragon then continues to move out of the way of the door. It's slow as she moves very carefully out of the way. She's still recovering and has at least a few more days before even simply moving becomes easy. let alone their broken leg. She will definitely have a major scar on her side too. As she moves she notices the food laid out from before and stops moving so the door is still blocked while she eats what is there. She seems like she's half-starved.
As she is slowly getting out of the way Ulmuur gets a reply from the other side of the door "She's here? Okay, well, can you tell her her sister would like some answers? That's a start, who are y-... wait... did you say dragon?!?!" Its a female voice and has a strong dwarven accent similar to Manira. It is around this time that Norwin shows up to hear this new voice trapped behind a door and see that the dragon is indeed awake and seems to be eating.
Manira heads to Kitchen for food and finds Wil already hard at work as Kitchen is teaching him how to make professional level cornbeef hashbrowns. The kitchen seems to have him making a very large amount. The instructions that kitchen is giving are very precise (Will gimme INT check at ADV) You do spot a tiny owl perched on Wil's shoulder who turns to look at you are you enter. Kitchen says "Ah, got another one. Here ta help?"
Manira lets her stomach lead her into the kitchen, and she is taken aback by the tiny bat perched on Wil's shoulder. She's just about to ask when Kitchen asks her if she's here to help. "Well, I uh, I'm here to eat. But I can help if you need an extra hand."she says a little sheepishly.
She then turns to Wil, "I've never seen a bat so tiny, is he yours?"

Ulmuur goes up to her as she struggles to move.
He says in Draconic:
"Ahh, I am sorry. Your leg. Let us help you with it. We did what we could last night, but did not want to disturb your sleep. We are in a place called Sanctuary, I believe. We have only gotten here as well. I do not know how you got here, you just appeared. But we can speak more in a bit. Eat and we will try to set your leg."
Ulmuur turns as Norwin arrives "Good, more hands. Norwin, Roland, please help me set the leg. Norwin, could you have Rudy fetch Manira?" He turns to the door and says "And you, sister of Manira, you must wait a bit. Oh, mind the magic circle." He'll hold his amulet as he cast's Guidance
With Norwin's and Roland's help, he'll try to set and splint the leg. He will explain what is happening to in Draconic, so the Dragon is aware and not surprised. Medicine23
Norwin braces her shoulder against the dragon's knee joint as they press the leg into place, giving a couple suggestions explaining things she's had to do on some smaller feydragons. She intermixes draconic and common.
The food is damn good! Not only where the instructions easy to follow you managed to throw a bit of flair of spices on it to make it taste better. Kitchen seems a bit taken aback at first then says "Wow... that's actually pretty clever. I think i'll like workin with ya."

OOC - that was a typo - it's an owl, not a bat. Also, although the description says "tiny", that's more about it's size classification for game mechanics than an actual description - actually, Luna is decent sized (for a screech owl), maybe 10" long or so now - though nowhere near as big as a horned owl, which can grow to nearly three times that size, with a wingspan of 6' or more.
"Oh, Luna here?", he responds. "She's not yet fully grown, and her particular species isn't as big as some owls, I'll grant you - but she can still be pretty vicious...", he points out, showing her Luna's rather impressive talons, currently splayed across the fairy's shoulder.
"...And I appreciate the offer, but I think the kitchen and I have reached an understanding, and breakfast is about done. Not too bad, if I do say so myself - please, help yourself. However, after we eat, perhaps you and I could wrestle some more of this deer carcass back out to our visitor...? From the looks of her, she can put away a LOT more meat than any of us can."
Wil digs into a few bites of the beef hash he's made under the kitchen's direction, with a satisfied grin around his mouthful of food. After a few swallows, he adds, "I needed that - especially after the bad dream I had last night. Pretty vivid one, too - though at least it's different from my usual ones. I guess this place and that strange fountain are getting to me."
