I refreshed OWLBear if that doesn't work I can do a new link sometimes that fixes the problem ^~^
Also Zim can decide if what Zahira said was funny or not, I'll even be nice and say he was able to read her full sentence. Maybe she was nice and spoke her lips out more pronounced so it was easier to read haha

(OOC: Oh, man, I hope Zim finds the joke funny! I didn't consider he could not like it. Now imagine he gets even angrier! 🤦🏻♀️🤣😅)
Seeing Zeph try to listen for sounds coming from the right door, Zahira does the same with the one in the center. She plucks out the cotton to try to hear. Then, she'll put them on again if the music hasn't ended yet.
Zim stared blankly for a moment at his crystal. Joking? Ha! Zim smiled to himself briefly. It wasn't as though Zim couldn't sing, he actually was willing to accept that he didn't have a horrible singing voice, but he certainly avoided singing around other people whenever possible. Besides, Zim was more relieved that Zahira had thought to use the crystal in the first place.
To KZZZT group text, he wrote: Zahira, you're a genius! Thanks for the direction via text. As you all may have figured out, I cannot hear anything clearly. I will follow Zeph's lead in case anything gets hairy inside. My emotions have been on a hair-trigger, and I don't trust myself enough to strategize. If there is to be a fight, just point me in the right direction, and I'll get to whacking!

Kuro glances at his crystal, silently groans, and then follows the rest of the party. This is not going to end well, he can already tell. Why is he letting them drag him into danger again? It would be so easy to just turn around and leave, yet... he is kind of stuck with this group for the year, so would it be the best move to just ditch them here? Does he really care that much? Ugh, school sucks and so does adventuring. Why can't they just be normal kids and go to the arcade? Sure, that would be loud too, but at least the biggest danger would be asthma from walking, or maybe bullies trying to steal their arcade tokens. Here they were in danger of going deaf and who knows what else is waiting up ahead. Nevertheless, he follows, if at a distance.
Each student had begun to move about trying their best to listen. Zephyro couldn't really make much out past the blasting music nor could Zahira.or Kuro for that matter. (Trick moved his piece and rolled a 15 in the gamelog)
Trick was able to hear some faint footsteps.. But only for a moment, something was more prominent it was... Talking? No yelling but it was difficult to make out in the music. It seemed like there was some faint arguing? It had come more so the middle door despite the door he himself had went towards too instead.
Being able to think clearly was nice. Seeing what the others were doing he quickly moved to the door on the left. Carefully he leaned one of his ears against the door and close his eyes to listen. Ah footsteps. Someone was moving, but the sound faded so quickly... Then... Voices. Arguing. His ears flickered and he tried leaning closer, but no that didn't help. Gods damn this music.
Maybe that wasn't completely the issue though. Was it maybe because he was at the wrong door. He quietly made his way towards the middle door. That was where the voices were coming from. He looked to his party.
"I heard footsteps, but they were so faint and I lost track of them pretty quickly. I also heard some arguing. I could barely hear it though. I can't make out what they were saying. This music is just too loud. I believe we may be able to find the source through the middle door."
He glanced back towards the middle door. He was surprised anyone would be able to argue let alone hold a conversation in the noise of that music.
Zahira puts the cotton of hear ears again when she sees Trick begin to speak after listening to the same door she had approached to.
- Oh so you heard something? Footsteps and ...arguing? You do have good ears! Eeerrm, no pun intended, sorry! - Then she looks at the rest - So, what do we do then? Do we just open the door and proceed? If whoever is inside sees us they might try to get away. But ... if we just open it a little bit, enough to take a peek, we could perhaps try to evaluate if they are close to the door and, if they don't, then try to enter silently. What do you think?
She pauses for a moment and then adds:
- In case we do try to enter silently, I'll enter the last and give you a bit of space, guys. My armour doesn't allow me to be very silent, sadly.
(OOC: I'm not sure if Zim is already able to hear us. So I was thinking of just talking to the rest and then, if he still has issues, relay the plan via crystal message to KZZZT.
I'll be leaving a stealth roll at disadvantage in case we try to go silently. Game log = 15 and 13 )
Zephyro shakes his head as he backs away from the door. After listening to what Trick has to say, he pulls out his crystal and writes. "Well, we have two options. One, we try to sneak through one of these doors and eavesdrop some more. Or two, we leave then knock on the front door and ask to join the party. If we go for the first option, we risk getting caught and potentially having the cops called on us. Second option, the worst is that we get turned away. What do you all think we should do?"
(Sorry for the short post. I'm not feeling that great but i wanted to make sure i said something on here today. :'D )
I think we should just leave, Kuro thinks to himself, still keeping his hands firmly clamped over his ears. Instead of responding with a crystal, he just shrugs--and inches towards the door as if to say lets just leave. He doesn't go to far, just a couple inches really, but he doesn't look thrilled at the prospect of trying to sneak around more.
Zahira sees the crystal message and scratches her head. Hadn't Zephyro heard her? She probably should have written directly instead of speaking aloud. Unsure if it's safe to be without the cotton on, she just puts it again in her ears and decides to keep writing instead of speaking until the loud music stops for good.
"I'm up for the stealthy approach, yes. Let's open the central door as silently as possible and check. I'll better go last while we are trying to be sneaky, because of my scale mail".
(OOC: stealth roll in my previous post. Weirdly enought, it wasn't that bad despite the disadvantage!).
(Lol well I guess Zeph is partly deaf. I wasn't fully awake when I read your post lol.)
Zephyro, not noticing Kuro's silent plea to leave, nods to Trick and Zahira, then he approaches the middle door. Opening it a crack, he peaks inside. If no one is there, he will open it farther and take a few steps into this room.

Trick looked towards Zahira and offered a small smile. He hadn't realized he had probably gotten in her way. He should have been paying more attention. It didn't seem like she had been bothered by it though. He could barely hear what was being said though. So it wasn't like he had been much help. He looked around thinking over what he wanted to do. Well... Maybe taking the stealth approach would be a good idea.
Maybe they could get close enough to hear what was being said and maybe even see what was going on. He would follow their lead.
"I'm glad that I was able to hear at least a little bit."
Zahira smiles back a Trick and writes something in the KZZZT group. Then she looks back at Trick and points to her crystal, as if to indicate half-tabaxi that he can read what she has just written.
"If it hadn't been for you, Trick, we wouldn't have known where the sound was coming from! Nice! *smiling amaji*"
With that, she's ready to follow everyone, and just waits as Zephyro begins to open the door with impressively careful movements.

Seeing that everyone is STILL thinking of sneaking in, Kuro lets out a huff, which would have been audible if not for the loud music. He can feel his crystal buzzing, but he doesn't want to take his hands off his ears long enough to check it. So he just watches as Zephiro tries to open the door. If everyone else tries to go in, then he will follow...hesitantly.
Zim noticed that his crystal vibrated. Reading it, he holds still and begins typing back:
I can barely move around in this new armour yet; let alone try to move around quietly in it. I'll try to get close to the door so I can rush in if it is needed and see how that goes. I still have the cotton in my ears, but something is a little different. I think I'll be able to hear again once I take it out, but I'm not ready to try taking that chance again. EVERYTHING I see, hear, smell and taste seems to have been enhanced/altered in some way since the cafeteria. Well here goes...
He moves over to get alongside Zahira and the middle door by taking tiny baby-steps to see how well that goes

As Trick placed his ear to the middle door he could hear a bit arguing a few words here and there.
"Do we have-"
"Will this mu- really ---"
Though he heard a partial muffled sound there was only broken up parts of a conversation left to hear.
