As the party began to head southward the music had slowly become louder before... Abruptly stopping all at once.
"Look man.. I love to ROCK! But.. What are we doing here...?"
"Well we gotta play more!"
"Yeah yeah...Just give me a minute than this is some mad riffs!"
They had come to find a garden.. Surprising in such a place but the music had stopped, luckily everyone was being quiet and rather stealthy quiet as a squad of mice. In seemed the noise was only in the next room one door away now.
OOC Sorry for the long pause >~< been feeling bleh
Kuro frowns, testily removes his hands from his ears, hesitates a moment with his hands up next to his head but no longer pressed against his ears, then lets his hands fall back to his sides. Had they been found out? He looks around shoving his hands in his pockets, then removes his hands realizing that the blasted music could start up again at any given time.
He glances at those in front, already predicting what they are going to do but really hoping that they won't do it. Silently huffing, he pulls his crystal out and reads all the texts he's missed while protecting his hearing, then he looks up again before sticking it back in his pocket.
OOC: I hope you're feeling better Sheild, and if not, I hope you feel better soon. :)
Zephyro glances at his party members then continues towards the door. Something about those words makes the gears in his brain start turning. 'What are we doing here?' Why would a DJ ask that question? When they first started this investigation and realized the music may have some spell attached to it, he had simply suspected that everyone here, especially the DJ would be in on whatever is going down. However, that conversation has made him seriously question that theory. Now, the one he suspects is the owner of the second voice.
It is quite odd that there is a garden in this run down old building, any other day he may have stopped to investigate it farther, however he'd like to see who was talking before the music starts again. Quietly, the high elf continues towards the next door.
When it's clear that the music has stopped for good Zahira removes the cotton from her ears. And upon listening to the voices, the young artificer tries to recognize them and even looks at the rest of the party looking for signs of recognition.
(OOC: do any of us know those voices? Just in case they are Rising Dawn students we've talked to ^^).
In any case, she just follows Zephyro inside, but waits with Zim to be the last to enter, as they are both wearing noisy armours.
These voices don't seem particularly familiar to the party it would seem. The party seemed ready to press forward it would seem though if they wanted to not be caught they would have to be careful.
OOC For those heading to the next room you can make a stealth check as the next room has those who are talking in it ^~^
(OOC: we had made rolls already. Do we need new ones? In that case I'm afraid this time I got a 20 ... and a 4. So, 4 it is T_T My intention was to go in the last positions allowing some space with the rest of the party that doesn't wear "noisy armors". Don't know if that would make any difference, though)
(I think this is a completely different check. Shield usually does group passes for stealth, so as long as at least half of us pass the check we should be fine.)
Stealth: 6 (...I spoke to soon. Lol he went from a nat 20 down to a 6. wow XD)
The group was rather quiet and now here was.. The hardest part, coming to the room of people themselves. With the group opening the door.. And taking a few steps it wasn't long before all of those in the room turned quickly. In the head was a tiefling with a greaser jacket. He grinned lightly before turning to a more serious scowl to match his cohorts one of which had yelled. (A dwarven young man)
"They hells you doin here! You can't just wander in on people like that!"
"Heh.. Even if they do look rather interesting.. My bearded friend is right however what.. Are you doing here?"
- "We can't just wander"? Well, could it be that "can't" is a matter of perspective? We were just thinking: "hey, people can't play their music so loudly that it disturbs customers who are quietly enjoying their ice creams on the other side of the street, can they?". So here we are, checking how that could be happening.
Looking at the tiefling, the young artificer wonders if that is the Ethan guy Himari told her about.
- In any case, where are my manners? My name's Zahira. Can we know yours? Were you aware your music was so loud that it could be heard from inside buildings in the other side of the street?
(OOC: do we know how many people are in this room aside from the dwarf and the tiefling? Are we outnumbered?)
Kuro shrinks back into his hood, lowering his head slightly and hunching his shoulders as if in attempt to disappear. He grimaces a little when Zahira starts talking as well, hoping her confrontational words don't get them into even more trouble. They were trespassing, whether these people were in the wrong or not for playing their obnoxious musing, they still had every right to be annoyed at the group's intrusion.
I knew we shouldn't have come in here, he thinks to himself, shoving his hands deeper into his pockets.
Quickly stepping up beside Zahira, Zephyro crosses his arms and grins stating, "What my friend means is, we heard your music from across the street, and decided we wanted a piece of the action. We knocked on the door, but it seems you didn't hear us." Zim had 'knocked' on the door right? ...just not the front door. The young elf sighs inwardly, why are telling these half truths so easy for him? Oh right, because he gets so much practice talking to his father. Trying to maintain an eager appearance, he continues, "Since you didn't answer, we thought we might as well just join you."
OOC: I think we can continue since the NPC's can react to Zahira and Zeph for now. I think we're all waiting to see what our new 'friends' will do now that they know we're here, but after we get their reactions we can wait a bit for Zim--he's our bard after all maybe he can talk some sense into these folks :D.
A fair fight...Kuro doesn't like those odds :'D lol
Well, this guy's dialect sure is...interesting. The young elf is a bit surprised that his words had actually done something. On top of that, while he's not sure how he feels about this guy calling him "babe", based on this conversation, he's pretty sure this.... Ethan, yeah that was his name. The Teifling Sato had warned him and Zim about. Is not the one in charge. The dwarf is the one calling the shots here, and...while he's not entirely sure the dwarf seems to be the one in charge...and he almost seems like he's manipulating the teifling. Does this guy even know what kind of affect his music is having on people? Either way, he doesn't want to be kicked out of this place, but he also doesn't want to be held hostage.
He'd love to have a good partner eh? Hmmm, Zeph has had a few piano lessons...and he's pretty good at keeping in time with music. His parents made sure he learned how to dance so he could give a good impression during parties...but he's sure that's nothing like the kind of dancing these folks are into. Though from what he's seen of it, there's not much to it other than jumping up and down and pumping a fist to the beat. He's also been told he has a good singing voice...though he's not sure if he believes that...besides 'singing' to these people is more like screaming... Yeah, better not to try that if at all possible. Maybe Zim can help? Ah well, here goes nothing. Attempting to keep up his act as well as adopt a bit of an arrogant swagger, he maintains his grin unfolds his arms and holds them out to either side palms up. "Heh, so I've been told. Not many have as good a taste in music as you do." Putting a hand on his hip and pointing at Ethan with the other hand, he cringes inwardly and continues, "You really think I've got what it takes to rock the stage? Heh, well if you want me there I'm down to try it! But! If you want someone who could really help you bring this house down, ya'll should listen to my friend over here." He jabs a thumb towards Zim. "If it's all good with your little group. My friends and I would love to bust some moves to your swell beats." As he says the last line he shoots his left arm up into the air finger still pointed, and takes his right hand off his hip to push his glasses back into place...and hide his faltering grin as a visible cringe tries to take it's place....effectively striking a ridiculous pose similar to one he thinks he remembers seeing on some poster of some rock band. "Sweet Cerebrum I feel like a fool. And if this doesn't work I'm never gonna live this down...even if this does I'm probably never gonna live it down...."
Babe? Kuro really isn't liking what's happening right now. This guy doesn't seem aggressive...but he definitely isn't the kind of person anyone in their right mind would want to hang out with. The dwarf on the other hand... hold them here? Something really fishy is going on and Kuro doesn't want any part of it. All he can think about is how bad of an an idea it was to break in here, and that they were probably all going to get into trouble somehow or another. And Zephyro thinks he can play 'music' with these idiots? The last thing Kuro wants is to help these people destroy his eardrums.
As possibilities of how everything could go wrong run through his head, Kuro finds himself taking a couple steps backwards and shrinking further and further into the shadow of his hood. His green eyes flicker across the room as he tries to force himself to think of ways to extract himself from this situation--no, not just himself--all of them. If that music starts up again with them all this close... they'll all go deaf! Maybe he should just start a fire and force them all to evacuate...no, not a good idea. To many ways that could go wrong. What if he tries to distract them with prestidigitation? He can handle that spell. But what would he use it for? If he did anything flashy then the'll just think he's trying to add to the show...
He realizes that Zephiro is trying to play along, and for a moment, frowns at the elf's ridiculous show of...whatever that was. He then looks to Zahira, who'd been utterly ignored by the teifling--not a bad thing perhaps, but what was she going to do now? ...Wait... didn't that Sato guy say something about being the school detective? Maybe they should let him know...then maybe he could get them out of here. But...Kuro doesn't have his number saved into his crystal. The only other person he could text would be...well his parents. But the last thing he wants is for Father to hear about this...though if things escalate then it might not be a bad idea to get an experienced adult in here. Still...he'd rather have someone else come.
His eyes once more move to Zahira, wondering if she'd think to text anyone. Five against five might be a 'fair' fight, but that just meant that the winner would be up to luck...unless their skills miraculously outmatched these guys...which he seriously doubts. Plus, he's pretty sure he's used up all his luck...

The male tiefling had let out a chortle before bursting into a fit of laughter.
"This babe is feisty! Still though you all should be going really! I'm.. Well I'm busy!"
"We can't let them go!"
The elf had exclaimed, they all seemed around their age except Ethan who seemed a few years older.
"Ehh?Why can't we let these babes go?"
"You idiot.. You don't know how much they heard. We gotta hold them here until backup comes."
"Ehh?! Well.. Long as I don't gotta kill em! I guess I can get ready to rock!"
Before Ethan could prepare it seemed Zephyro had struck a cord within the tiefling he had a glint of excitement in his eyes.
"Oh! You think?! I'd love to have a good partner! You seem like ya can rock babe!"
"Ugh.. Did you forget what I JUST said..? We have to hold them here, besides did you forget why we are actually here?"
