The Call of Lon-Dia

"RUN, STONE!"

(Natasha uses all of her will to push herself and Stone out of the door. If time allows, she'll also try to close it.)

(OOC: Pushing Stone and closing the door would require 2 actions.)

Make an Athletics check to see if you can move Stone. I assume Stone isn’t contesting it, but if he is, I’ll need an Athletics check from him too. 

Natasha Athletics Check: 14

Stone will let her push him out the door, but once he is outside the door, he will let her pass so that he remains in front of the door.

Natasha: You successfully push Stone's massive bulk out the door and follow close behind. Once outside, he stops and turns to face the room while you run around him.

Jacob, you're up.

Jacob tries to get an Eldritch Blast shot off at any that he can see from the doorway before attempting to close the door.

Attack: 12 Damage: 8

He then draws Bread and Butter and puts his back against the wall just to the "south" of the door.

Jacob: You run up to the door and point your Eldritch Blast at the first kobold you see. Your aim is perfect, but the blast hits the four foot barricade between you and him.

You shut the door before any of them can climb the barricade. With your back against the wall south of the door, you pull your trusty scimitars.

You all hear clanging of weapons and sounds of running behind the door. A few seconds later, the doors north and south of the room you just left swing open. From the north, two kobolds appear. From the south, one kobold emerges. They somehow found a way around to the other rooms.

Stone, you're up.

Stone moves one space "North" and hurls one of his javelins at the closest "northern" kobold.

Stone's attack = 9

Damage = 8

Stone: You fling your javelin at a kobold north of you, but it misses its target, and clangs ineffectually against the stone floor.

Penelope, your turn.

Penelope raises her hand and casts Ice Knife at the kobold directly in front of her.

Attack: 12 Damage: 4

Hit or miss both Kobold need to make Dex saves DC13. Failures take 6 cold damage.

Penelope: You throw your Ice Knife and it lands in the nearest kobold's chest. It explodes into sharp, pointed shards that engulf the two northern kobolds.

Kobold 3 Dex Save: 8

Kobold 2 Dex Save: 16

The kobold that took the knife in the chest is shredded into pulp by the explosion, but the kobold behind him is able to duck out of the way.

Natasha, you're up.

(Natasha uses her Shortbow to take a shot at the Northern Kobold.)

Attack: 23 Damage: 9

Natasha: The arrow from your short bow lodges itself in the kobold's throat, killing it.

Jacob, you're up.

Jacob steadfastly walks down to the "southerly" kobold and takes two swings at it with the orcish scimitars:

Bread:: 16 Damage: 4

Butter:: 14 Damage: 4

Jacob: Bread and Butter make mince meat out of the kobold south of the party.

Penelope: A Kobold runs out of the northern open door and uses its sling against you.

Kobold 8 vs Penelope: Attack: 11 Damage: 6

Fortunately, the shot goes wide and misses you.

Jacob: Three kobolds emerge from the southern door and surround you, they all take turns stabbing at you with their daggers.

Kobold 5 vs Jacob: Attack: 22 Damage: 6

Kobold 4 vs Jacob: Attack: 10 Damage: 4

Kobold 10 vs Jacob: (Pack Tactics) Attack: 8 Damage: 4

 The first kobold slashes you across the bicep, you side-step the second, but third is waiting for you and gets you in the thigh.

The middle door that was shut last round bursts open! Five kobolds try to rush through, and only two actually make it through the door and swing their daggers at Stone.  The remaining three use their slings against you intruders.

Stone blocks the first dagger with his shield, but the second slashes him across the stomach. Natasha ducks out of a way of a sling bullet. Stone dodges one projectile but is struck in the head with a second.

Stone exercises his endurance as a counter move and reduces the damage he takes by = 14
