The Call of Lon-Dia

Stone positions himself as he did for the last door and tells Penelope, "Ready."

Jacob again readies himself...

Penelope uses her mage hand to open the next door and the party is met with the following sight;

Stone tables and chairs, smashed into rubble, are strewn about the room. A mosaic on the wall shows dwarves cooking and serving sumptuous meals to finely dressed and bejeweled visitors. A four foot-high barricade of wood and stone separates the two chambers of this area. From your location, you can't see beyond the barricade.

"Ms. Natasha," Stone says, "You want to try your stealth thing and see what lies beyond that barricade?"

(Natasha attempts to use her Stealth to get close to the barricade and see if there's anything over there.)

Make a Perception check also, Natasha.

Secret Rolls

Natasha: You sneak into the room and try to stealthily peer over the barricade of wood and stone. You are met with the sight of 12 Kobolds, and they see you too. Some of them are already loading up their slings.

One of them yells, "INTRUDERS! KILL THEM!!"

Everyone roll initiative.

Stone's initiative = 19

Natasha Initiative: 16

Edit: Crud, I'm dead.

"Get back our here 'Tash, so we can shut that door, or bottleneck them at least..."

Secret Rolls

Natasha: Before you can back out of the room and before anyone can attack, two Winged Kobolds that were hiding in the shadows on the ceiling fly over the 4 ft barrier and attack you with their jagged daggers.

Winged Kobold 1 vs Natasha: Attack: 10 Damage: 6

Winged Kobold 2 vs Natasha: Attack: 24 Damage: 7

The first winged kobold takes you completely by surprise and buries its dagger in your side. The pain is excruciating, but you don't let it distract you. You're quick on your feet and you manage to avoid the second one's blade.

Initiative Order

Stone, you're up first.

Stone jumps into the room to stand besides Natasha and tries to smite the enemy in front of him (the lower winged kobold).

Stone's attack = 24

Stone's initial damage = 11

Added damage if the strike in successful = 11

Stone: You heroically run to Natasha's side and slash the lower winged kobold through its left collar bone and down into its sternum. Your longsword glows with your Divine Smite and the creature’s middle burns and flakes away. The attack leaves it with a blackened, gaping hole in its chest. You pull your sword back and the winged kobold falls to the ground, dead.

Penelope, your turn.

Penelope will run in behind Stone and cast magic missile, sending all three darts at the remaining flying kobold.

Damage: 9 (forgot it would be +3 for all the missles instead of +1 so its 8 for damage sorry)

She'll then step out of the way, back outside the room and off to the right side of the door so as to not block the entrance to the room.

Penelope: Your darts of glowing force zero in on the winged kobold and slam into its head from multiple directions at once. The blows kill it instantly. You back out of the room and post up against the wall.
