I apologize, I'm doing this over mobile so it's a little funky.
I may need to wait till I get home to do this, unless the dm would be kind enough to drop two arrays for me. It seems the numbers changed on the top for some reason.
I'm pretty flexible in what I play, so I was gonna wait and see what everyone else wanted to do class wise and race wise if anyone had any specific inspiration that immediately pulled them in.
Level 1 was my plan with a quick milestone for 2 and 3.
in terms of party composition, the only suggestions I have are for race. High elves and Wood elves are opinionated and often unhappy about the other races in the forest. It may be helpful diplomatically to have one. Survival and investigation will be useful

Whats the formula for dropping the lowest? Been a bit since I've done it this way. And honestly i think i may sculpt a character around what stats i get
Bart Armstrong, the rusty knight. He's a backwater nobody who smells of rust, booze, and sweat most times, and tries to play it off as part of the knight-errant charm. He's more sellsword than knight, no matter how he might put a face on it.
That said, he does his best to be reliable and steadfast. He's looking for his "new place, new me" opportunity to become the knight he knows he can be by coming here, to Celador. He and his trusty horse, Coward.
I like Bart. Definitely fits the rustic vibe of Daven’s Falls. Although he likely isn’t from there. He makes more sense as an older character to me, don’t know if he has an actual heroic backstory, but if he did, it’s easy to logic that his first level-ness is representing his “rust” at being out of practice.
im definitely giving characters extra starting equipment, like a horse. Not totally sold on 1st level start. Is everyone moderately experienced in 5e?

Taking into consideration my possible thought from earlier; An elf named Marigold, an Acolyte for her elven gods that, while she cannot channel divine energy like them, she does develop her abilities in the direction to see glimpses of the future and divine from various gods as opposed to any single deity. (Divine Wizard)
Perhaps she's been sent as an emissary, or some knowledge from the clerics around her urged her to trek out. More than a smidge sheltered, though not afraid to get her hands dirty necessarily.
Although, with a quick change to the narrative of that, I'd also be willing to play them as a Paladin if someone else wants wizard badly.
Something to know. There are only 3 gods in the world. Erathis, goddess of Law, Air, Justice and Civilization. (And more) Melora, goddess of Chaos, Water, Freedom and Nature. Korak, god of Earth, arts and crafts.

Content Sharing will be added Friday, my sub ran out.
The only thing I'm sure how I want to handle is stat rolling. Point buy is allowed, but if you want to roll, here is how it works.
If you don't like your result from rolling you can use default array.
My system:
Each player rolls 4d6, drop lowest, no rerolling ones in this channel.
Do this twice, choosing whichever you prefer.
I will also provide an alternate sets of rolls you may select as well. If you do, let me know and I will roll a new set for the next person.

I suppose the first question is: does anyone know what they want to play? Have a backstory in mind etc?
I assume we're starting at level 1?

I wouldn't mind playing an elf if others don't want to, but if anyone is clamoring for that position feel free.
I do have an idea for an elven character on the back burner already, too. An elven seer sounds fun!

Okay, I've got an idea fleshed out a bit.
