I’m sorry for the vague geography. Feel free to make up a name and any general ideas of what the city is like.
Nothing to apologise for; I was just explaining why I had been vague too :D
Let's call it... Willesden. It's a town of about 3000 souls. It's the last human town before Celador, so it has a bit of a frontier town vibe - more taverns than churches, although both see good turnouts. It's run by a mayor, aging knight Sir Dedrick, who is mostly a good administrator but has ties to a large organised crime ring which keep the town ticking over one way or the other. There is a gambling den/rudimentary casino on the south side where Cariadne worked and has fled from.

I'd say Willesden is a true city, albeit a small one, the last bastion of "real civilization". Sir Dedrick knows Bart I think.

Its doing it on all my campaigns. Even the ones i am DM
I imagine Marigold is probably a traveler, certainly not familiar with this particular area, but familiar with forests.

Which thread are we using for the actual adventure?

Okay, Barbar (I will figure out the special characters if it is an annoyance.) is in the town, has a place to stay and acquainted with some people.
Cariadne is there too, similar situation, if less savory particulars.
Bart is a newcomer, drawn in by a rumor the Mayor needs help.
Marigold is a transplant from the more tended, grandiose forests of the high elf city, new to the area and drawn in by a portentitious dream.
Aagie has not answered about where Belgarath is from.
I'm going to start you all at 2nd Level. Take a minor magic item, and an additional 200 gold.
If we establish Belgarath a little we can start when you are all ready.

Great!
By "minor" magic item, do you mean a common level item, or up to uncommon?

Ok well dang. Im glad it isn't just me so im sure its being worked on. Ill check in on it in a bit and see if there's any updates
I think its back up!
And i chose plate armor as my item. 20 AC everyone!
Ready to play, character updated to 2nd level, minor magic is a light crossbow+1
Looks like it's down again - I can't access characters or the campaign page at the moment.
Aagie, isn't a +1 weapon an uncommon item rather than a common one? Or am I looking in the wrong spot?

To clarify, you get 1 magic item for free. The item must have a rarity of “common”. The item may not be armor with “plate” in the name. Sorry, Barbar.
