Rick assures Breldo before he heads out with Oren,
"Rick will take good, good care of Braldo's things! Rick will make sure they shine like Rick's own things!"
Once outside and well out of earshot of the coppers Rick will ask,
"Rick wonders if Oren would like to go check that merchant's shop Oren was arrested at for clues? Rick expects that Oren, like Rick, knows something interesting is going on but Oren, like Rick, is not as dumb as Broldo to actually tell the person that is doing the interesting thing that Bruldo knows there is an interesting thing happening."
Assuming Oren assents, Rick will follow to the dwarf groupies' shop, the entire time really rubbing Breldo's belongings in with his grease. Having spent time in jail before, Rick knows how pleasant it is to have something nice waiting for you on the outside, and he can't honestly think of anything nicer.
Breldo refrains from any further snide comments at the guard, after all, he would very much like to be released in the morning. However, the cold creeping in does prompt him to speak up.
"Those rags still available? It's a bit chilly down here."

Under the presumption that Oren assents, or at least lets Rick know where to find the shop (Not a hard feat, given it is very close to the inn they are staying at), Slick (and Oren) can go check out the shop in question... Though find that in the interim, someone has used a few planks and nails to hammer the door shut, so won't be quite as easy as just entering...
---
Breldo gets locked up first as the guard seems to consider his plea for a moment, before responding with a simple "I'll see what I can do." To which his scuffed cellmate speaks up.
"Oh, so he does get something? What, he a VIP here or something?"
The guard just gives the man a glare, and then exits, the sound of footsteps up the stairs not taking much longer. It's the far nicer-looking man who addresses Breldo proper, first.
"So why did you get thrown in? Do you know anything about these crazy accusations?"
"That's what the guards say, and good luck convincing them of something else," the rough man says, for a moment longer looking like he barely even wants to acknowledge Breldo, before he slides up the slightest bit, so the halfling could claim his part of the bench clearly not made for three people. The other man nervously wrings some of his clothing as he chimes in.
"It makes no sense. They made no admissions! Well... Tyrion here did," he says, interrupted by the man spewing some curse words that are meant more toward the situation they were in rather than cursing out the well-mannered man, as he quickly added. "But he didn't even... They beat him until he just agreed to what they were saying!"
"Like I said, if they've already figured it out, what's the forking point?" the scruffed man adds in again, then curses a bit more in general. The finely dressed man sits awkwardly as he casts his gaze across to the occupants in the other jail. They speak up of their own accord.
"I didn't do anything, and didn't say anything despite their pushing. Constantine..." she trails off, and looks at the large man huddled up next to her. He shakes his head in a dejected manner, and a "Noooo..." comes out that sounds somewhat... Off. Slurred, as if he cannot speak properly, the word a half moan that only can infer as a negative.
"...It is probably just some big misunderstanding," the man first addressing him says, sounding everything except certain of those words.
Oren looks at Rick and actually stops walking as he stops to think. He looks back to make sure no one is in earshot. Then he moves closer to Rick and quietly says, “Yeah. The guard here are essentially using their power to do what they want. Or at least those in charge are doing that. Innocents are being charged. Let’s try to fix this. Oh. And go light in the shine on his stuff. He likes a very, very light shine.”
"I'm merely an outside observer passing through town, but the story I was hearing didn't square with what I saw on the road. I implied as much, and they didn't take it too well. Have to say, you seem far from the hardened band of murderous bandits they seem to think you are... or are happy to paint you as. Is one of you the shop keeper?"

The rest of the town passes in a blur as Nuria races back to the Inn. Bursting through the front doors, she dashes upstairs only to come to a screeching halt in front of Sylvara's door. What if she gets mad? What if she doesn't want to help? What if she doesn't care? The girls hand shakes as she raises her fist to knock. "I still have to try." She thinks setting her jaw.
Sylvera jolts out of her meditation to the sound of knocking at her door. What now? Who would bother her at this hour? She stares angrily at the door for a moment, not moving from her cross-legged position until she registers that it was the stuttering girl's voice addressing her from the other side.
Huffing, she slides off the still-made bed and yanks the door open just enough to look through. Her piercing blue eyes lock onto Nuria and she says, "What, girl. Speak properly or don't speak at all."Her hair is slightly frazzled, but she clearly hadn't actually laid down for the night. Regardless, she is not in a good mood, for whatever reason.
Rick takes a quick look around, and after determining that the streets are mostly dead at this hour of night, climbs up the wall of the establishment with ease, and has found his way inside before anyone would be able to spot him. Oren could probably join him if he throws down a rope and is quick about it... The room he entered seems to be the store's bedroom, the owner presumably sleeping on location.
---
The nicely dressed man nods to Breldo's question. "Yes, that's me. They claim I orchestrated... Something, but I don't even know these people! Well... Sort of. I guess I've heard of Tyrion in trouble before, but that's about it..."
"They threw you in jail just because you were pointing out they weren't making sense? That's not good news..." the girl in the cell across him asks.
---
A desperate Nuria runs past a still performing Khond, and Pallen who casts a worried glance, and rushes straight for Sylvera's room in the back of the inn...
"Rick wonders what the captain wants from this shop? Oren is a dwarf and this shop was full of dwarf stuff?"
As Rick is looking over the shopkeeper's stuff for something fluffy or fuzzy he'll continue,
"Rick bets the dwarves the captain said the whoevers killed are really dead, maybe they were coming for something here? Oren see anything worth all the effort of framing four people and killing a few dwarves?"
Khond watches Nuria run by, then glances at Pallen, but stays true to his art, finishing his musical piece before moving to Pallen's side, "Something seems to have her worried. Should we go after her?"

Thinking that Rick is actually making sense, he will take a look around in the back area for anything that would be worth this much lying and work. But then he thinks, "If they boarded this up, if there was anything of that much value that they wanted, would they not have already taken it?"
He will look around nonetheless. But not only for something like Rick was thinking, but also for any paperwork that might explain some of this? Anything written in Dwarven?
(Can I have an athletics and stealth check from Oren?)
Slick and Oren start looking through the shop and the man's personal belongings for anything that might stand out. After Slick claims a little fuzzy parcel for himself, of course.
(Investigation checks from you both.)
---
As Khond (eventually) approaches Pallen, he gives a worried nod of agreement. Even if he himself obviously can't get up, or he probably would have long gone investigate himself.
"Yes, please do go check on her. She went out with Breldo earlier, and now she's back alone? Something's wrong."
Breldo frowns. "I hope I don't regret getting more involved, but I loathe incompetence in the command structure... Can you tell me how today went for you, from your perspective?"

Nuria squeaks when Sylvara slams the door open. She takes a few seconds to find her tongue, and in an attempt to speak without stuttering, she spews out the story as fast as she can. "We went to find Oren at the guard station and there's something weird going on but I don't know what it is and Breldo tried to speak against the captain so he put him in jail you're a noble so I thought they might have to listen to you if you tell them he didn't do anything wrong!"She stops to catch her breath, "Please get him out!"As soon as her words are out, she shrinks down, trying to hide behind her black hair.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
((@Mort, advantage on Oren's athletics check as Rick has provided a rope for the climb?))
Rick shrugs at Oren's question of them maybe having already taken what they wanted,
"Rick thinks the captain is an idiot friend Oren! Oren heard the captain's silly story, Rick could have done better after having been hit by a wagon. Rick has done better after being hit by a wagon."
Rick interrupts his explanation to snuffle the fuzzy thing he found before continuing, very confidently,
"Rick will bet friend Oren that the captain doesn't trust telling anyone with whatever it was the captain wants so the captain closed this place until the captain could come and get it! The captain didn't realize that Rick and Oren would get to it first!"
Khond nods, "You'll be alright on your own?" Once he's got confirmation, the centaur goes after Nuria.

Rick looks confused,
"Rick is doing Rick's best to give the things enough shine so they light up, yes! Rick only has so much slick to share..."
He does stop as they look at the boarded up shop.
"Rick thinks boards up this fast is a clue too! What does friend Oren think?"
Rick looks around to make sure the coast is clear before saying,
"Rick will toss Oren a rope."
