The Forgotten Wish

While Breldo hopes not to get pinned down, the bear proves to hold a bit too much strength. Breldo hits the ground with a heavy thud, and the bear soon has a paw painfully pressed on top of him, as the beast leans in- Deep sniffs being taken as the bear is inspecting the halfling.

Pallen, moments before already having looked very worried, now looks completely panicked, and quickly nods.

"Oh gods, do something before he hurts Breldo..!"

(I will take initiative rolls at this point, even if the bear technically hasn't attacked yet.)

"The boar was much more reasonable!"

"Breldo should hide Breldo's paw pads!"

Rick calls and he moves to help.

(Breldo would be able to act first before the bear. It doesn't seem like it's doing anything outright hostile just yet, but that weight on top of him is heavy. Will add the others to initiative as they roll.)

Sylvera finally takes notice of the situation ahead, letting out a long sigh as she realizes the predicament Breldo is in. ...didn't anyone ever teach him how to deal with bears? Maybe they don't teach that kind of thing to commoners.

Breldo tries to struggle against the beast, but the hefty weight of the crushing paw on top of him makes the notion of actual escape difficult, despite his struggling. The bear, for its own part, simply leans in, taking more deep sniffs. And its nose eventually leans over his shoulder, and becomes very interested in the halflings backpack.

(Can I have a constitution saving throw from Breldo?)

Slick walks forward, slowly,and considers the situation.

"Rick wonders how to scare bear off?"

(Clearly, I would never miss someone when setting up the initiatives. Readded, everyone has a turn currently)

"Fire? Bear maybe dislikes fire? Khond?"

"Why ask me for fire?  Still, I have another idea."  Starting slowly toward the bear, Khond uncorks his smelling salts, waving the pungent vial in the bear's direction.  "Hopefully it finds this as unpleasant as it's meant to be."

"Rick was asking if Khond knew if bears didn't like fire? Rick doesn't know."

He wrinkles his nose when the salts open.

"Rick thinks it won't like that."

As the beast briefly forces the air out of Breldo's lungs with the weight, he takes 5 damage.

(Can I have either an animal handling or performance check from Khond?)

Sylvera pulls a boomerang out from a leather holster at her side, then throws it in the direction of the bear--aiming for its face.

She also yells loudly--the most unladylike noise the party has heard from her during this entire venture--in attempt to intimidate the animal.
