“Well,” states Oren ,” when I touched that orb and felt like I was the mansion, I also saw the whole building too. There is a deep shaft in the basement leaving downwards. I don’t know where it goes. It might be another way out but it would mean we would have to past the magic eye ooze monster.”
Sylvera eyes the new obstacle, then nods when Oren mentions the basement. "It seems that monstrosity is fairly slow. Perhaps it would be possible to simply pass it by. Though there is no guarantee that the basement would have a way out..." She rather doubts that it will, but since they can't continue their escape this way, she feels it worth looking at. Might as well get all the information they can from this place before they leave... if they leave at this point.
Asimi's attention shifts from the main entrance to the barrier keeping them all in here, then to the hole in the wall and what happened to the rope; a small grimace forming on her face before it faded away, "We may be able to wait out what remains of the power here if this wall is connected to the main system," She agrees with Rick, "However, I don't think that creature will give us the luxury of waiting."
While the others decide whether to return inside to look for an exit or try to deal with the barrier some other way Asimi looks back to Rick, "That creature. What did you do to it to get it so enraged?" She asks him.
"Rick just pressed a button. Mouth monster came after, Mouth monster talked about escaping and being trapped before Mouth monster got out. Rick thinks someone other than Rick trapped Mouth monster and made Mouth monster mad."
To the other comment on waiting, Rick says,
"Rick is confident Rick could distract Mouth monster ten minutes, if new elf lady wants to try that."
Neither Rick nor Nuria get some insight from divine inspiration. Any insight that may or may not appear would have to appear from their own noggin, probably.
The group spends some time discussing in front of the fizzling barrier, discussing what the best act to do would be. It's enough time that the thing in the basement would probably have climbed the stairs by now, so maybe they shouldn't take too long.
...Assuming it can even climb the stairs, actually.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

"The noises before the horrorbeast arrived all seemed to come from deep underground, if I heard correctly. Whatever that mechanism's "leyline extraction" was likely brought the thing from that tunnel down."

Khond thinks for a moment, and from what he saw and heard it was pretty evident that, indeed, the machine was pushing some kind of rod downward... So could it be that the shaft Oren saw is under that machine? If so, it's probably more like a drill shaft, and not really something anyone could fit in.
Breldo's curses might prove to be very correct sooner or later. The plan to run away might work for a bit, but if it's still giving chase, that's only going to work so long if they just keep waiting here.
Attention snapping back towards the building, Asimi's grip tightens around her weapon again, "No, no I didn't," She answers. One glance around at the others confirms none of them were left behind either, "Someone else must have been in there."
There had been several rooms none of them had the time to search through. That they missed whoever it may be didn't surprise the elf, but it did annoy her. Advancing slowly to the entrance, she'll pause at it's threshold. Looking inward to try and see if she can spot anything from there, she readies herself to move further should the group likewise decide to.
"Rick loves the Mackenzie Guyfer stories! Mackenzie only would need tree sap and a sharp stick to escape!"
Rick looks at the rippling wall,
"But Rick thinks Rick can make it without Mackenzing it."
He likes his hand in and out, well timed, to prove it.
"Rick also thought this place was stopping in 10 minutes? Maybe Rick, Khond, Oren and the rest can just walk away from the tube thing while it stops?"

(Rick, Khond and Nuria can I have an intelligence check?)

Rick gives his most innocent shrug to Asimi.

(So, what does everyone actually want to do?)
(Rick... Give me a d100 roll.)
??? Roll: 51
While people loiter outside trying to determine the best course of action, a scream comes from inside the building.
Rick does a quick headcount, anyone missing?
Everyone seems present. It was definitely a more humanoid scream rather than a "thousand monstrous voices" scream, though...
Rick turns to Asimi,
"Did New elf have other friends here?"
Attention snapping back towards the building, Asimi's grip tightens around her weapon again, "No, no I didn't," She answers. One glance around at the others confirms none of them were left behind either, "Someone else must have been in there."

Rick watches Asimi go and asks Khond,
"Friend Khond, what is New Elf doing? Rick thinks New Elf is going to get eaten."
Rick's good ear tilts and twists trying to get a read on where in the structure the scream likely came from.
