The Forgotten Wish

(Initiative: 6 )

It seems the twisted elf acts first, if only because most of the party are taking in what they're seeing. It does turn in their direction, the half-goop half-flesh creature covering the elf's eyes as something resembling a groan escapes it's lips. But, just as before, it seems as if the creature as a whole remains contrarian even to itself, the elf almost seeming to stumble when different voices want to pull it in different directions.

"Forward!"
"Go deeper? Useful things."
"Defend."
"Forward."
"Traitors, like all."

Ultimately, it stumbles closer toward the party, but not quite in range yet to do anything.

Khond backs up, placing a hand on his rapier's hilt, "Stand down.  We've no need for hostilities."

((Sorry for the late initiative, Breldo would have been standing by, crossbow read as he studies the creature, thinking back to see if it bears any resemblance to anything he'd heard of before, perhaps among swapped stories around a cook fire with his company, etc.))

"Disgusting creature," Sylvera hisses, pulling out her boomerang. "Remove yourself from that elf."

She throws the boomerang, hoping not to injure the once-petrified elf. 

Attack: 14 Damage: 7

Sylvera takes aim at the creature, knowing that it'd be hard to hit this monster alone and leave the elf it's... Possessed? Alone- Her boomerang throw however manages to shear a chunk through the creature, and not touch the elf in question.

(For other people wanting to attack the creature directly: let me know if you'd want to attack "risky" (prioritize getting a hit in over making sure the elf does not get hit) or "safe" (trying to make sure to not hit the elf))

Asimi had been studying the creature as their standoff began and, just as swiftly, ended with Sylvera's attack. A part of her was not expecting the other elf to lash out in such a manner given her experience thus far. Though, if this truly was a potential cure for this "Wasting" issue...

She herself wasn't sure what to make of this thing. Clearly whatever was done to it had driven it mad... No doubt even more enraged now. Whether it truly did bring its current victim back to life or was merely using it's form as some macabre puppet equally remained to be seen. As well, if this was made from the same material as before... She shot a glance towards Breldo before returning her attention forward.

Unsure of how to proceed given one member seemingly trying to talk the thing down while another began their attack, and with it being a far enough distance away from the group for Asimi to engage it without putting herself wildly out of position, she instead takes up a defensive position ahead of the group.

(However we end up on the "map" she'll be 10 feet ahead of wherever the bulk of the group is.)

Asimi steps forward in the group, ready to attack should the monster rush in close enough to strike.

Completely terrified, Nuria does her best to prepare for fighting this thing. Though she opts for taking out her bow rather than her dagger. She does not intend to get anywhere near that creature.

Drawing an arrow, she remains behind Asimi and close to Breldo.

She will ready her action and will shoot if the Twisted elf moves forward.

To hit: 15

Damage: 7

Rick's ear perks up at the mention of useful things further in.

He looks in the direction the thing was heading and starts to make a wide loop around it to see.

((If 90ft of movement will get him around the thing he does that, otherwise he is going to Tabaxi super speed around with 180))

While Nuria braces herself to strike should this monster advance, Rick believes talking time is now probably over, and instead takes note of what the gibbering creature said. With super Tabaxi speed, it's almost as if Rick becomes a blur... Taking a wide, safe berth around the creature, but still getting all the way to the other side of the room.

It's only when he gets there that he realizes that the creature was heading toward the hallway in the back of the complex and presumably has no idea where the creature was actually looking to move toward next.

Breldo struggles to think of any story he has ever heard that would describe something like this, figuring that it would probably be one he'd have remembered for how outlandish all of this is. He's heard a story or two about abandoned places like this, with weird ancient elf kind of machines, but he's never heard about anyone managing to get something to work as has been the place here.

For what it's worth, as he tries to figure something out about this creature, he briefly stops to realize that it's not actually speaking common in those multitude of voices it has. It seems more like the voice just kind of echoes in the back of his skull to be understood..?

Oren would have kept out with the others, not about to leave any of the others not that trained in fighting, to deal with this alone.

(Oren will get to act twice then, although one action would technically have been out of most attack ranges. 120 feet or so on the very far end of the room.)
