Nuria stiffens at the scream. That was no monster. Had someone else been here with them all along? Was it one of those bandits? Either way it would be wrong to leave them to the mercy of that....thing. Forcing her feet to move, she puts a hand on the battered rapier she's been carrying...though she quickly moves it back to her dagger. Once her hand lands on it she grips it tightly. Once her feet co operate, she chases after Asimi. The mysterious elf seems like she's moving towards the screams....and even if the young girl can't help with anything, moving is better than sitting and doing nothing while that thing gets ever closer.
"Damned. You might be right, Rick, but we have to find out what's happening." With that, the centaur takes off after the other two.

Rick blinks after Khond's rapidly departing backside.
"Rick thinks friend Khond is going to get eaten."
His crooked tail twitches in annoyance before he follows after, overtaking the ponytaur and critizing his plan,
"Rick can at least climb to the ceiling so Mouth monster won't eat Rick, is Khond hoping to fill all the Mouth monster's mouths with Khond meat to save Other person?"
As Asimi rushes back to figure out what the scream is about, at least some of the group follows, if nothing else not wanting anyone else to get caught up with... Whatever that thing was, or to at least know what's going on. Rick joins somewhat more reluctantly, trying to get a bead on where the sound is coming from, but really can't pin down anything for certain unless that it came from inside.
Asimi does come at a halt at the entrance however, only glancing in, not planning to blindly charge in. A quick inspection reveals nothing out of the ordinary just yet...

"That thing seems slow, if it comes to it keep our distance and use that to our advantage, if it comes for you, fall back and let others draw its attention.", Breldo instructs. He may not want to be here, but he's damned if he's gonna let companions go in less than prepared.

Most people glancing ever so cautiously in, just enough to get a proper look at the dining hall they only just rushed through, see at the very least that there is a slight trail, a stain left behind as the creature seems to have climbed up the stairs, but then curved away from the main exit deeper into the building. Hard to say if it's simply because it did not know where the exit was, or another reason. A few others note a larger stain, centered around an empty seat in the dining hall, as if spent some time longer there.
It's only Asimi who listens close enough to hear a light, humanoid groaning coming from the dining hall as well. Whatever made the noise, it seems to be still in there, just deeper in the room out of their current sight, and the same direction the trail seems to be going.
Sylvera isn't the first to follow Asimi at the sound of the scream. She doesn't seem particularly shaken about it, but her expression does sour slightly. It's hard to tell if she's concerned or just irritated at this whole predicament.
Upon noticing the stains left by the creature, Sylvera frowns and says, "I doubt this is just random movement. Perhaps it is looking for something... magic to soak up?"The tone of her voice tells that she isn't sure whether or not to phrase the question as serious or sarcastic.
Nuria stays close behind Asimi and near Breldo (if he came too). Noting what the others say, she can't help feeling as if this is some sort of trap....that blob...it had voices inside it. What's to say it didn't separate a part of itself just to lure them down there?
...unfortunately....she doesn't say any of this out loud. Instead, she just stands there quivering.
"No... This feels deliberate," Asimi agrees with a small nod, "It's over there," She adds, pointing to the dining hall. Watching as Rick goes deeper inside, Asimi likewise moves with him.
Although instead of pausing where the creature stopped she continues a slow cautious advance towards the dining hall, holding her weapon out in front of her. Whether this thing was laying some kind of trap, attacking someone else, or operating on some other base instinct, she cared not. Sooner or later they would come into contact with it again, and the elf found herself preferring it happening on their terms.
Sylvera wonders aloud some suspicions, while Rick enters further into the dining room, closely followed by Asimi who, aware that there is at least something else in the room, tries to make certain that she sees whatever it is, hopefully before it sees them.
Turns out the answer to their question gets given long before they get to the spot in question, as they see what has been making the sounds once they enter.
Stumbling deeper into the complex, is an elf. One who judging by some of the prints, had been sitting at that table earlier, fully stone.
The reason they were now up and on foot the fact that this horrid beast has attached itself to it, clinging over its back like a depraved cloak. And while the elf may be solidly faced away from them, the many eyes on the fleshy mass still turn to focus upon them.
(No matter what happens next, I'd like initiative rolls again.)
Petrified, Nuria stares at the previously stone elf. That goo had reversed the wasting....but what else had it done? Is the elf actually alive now? Or is that blob just going to use it as a puppet?

Rick, seeing the thing isn't there anymore, will head to the spot it lingered to see if he can determine why that spot might have been of interest.

"Deliberate indeed," Sylvera's eyes widen... could this provide some answer to curing the wasting? Only one way to find out.

Rick's fur rises on his arms as he bares his teeth before seeing it is just an elf with the Mouth monster on its back and nothing that new.
"Rick doesn't think that will make Mouth monster faster."
Calling over to the elf, and Mouth monster,
"Rick wonders if Mouth monster and new, new elf are doing okay?"
