Announcement on current entries! All of your characters are interesting, and they will make this a fun campaign. I like working with variety. There is still lots of debate about who I might choose, and you still have several days before I do choose, but these are the ones I like the most so far.
Liara Thunderbane fits this story perfectly. The storyline with the storm fits great with her backstory, and she is a very interesting character. So far, she is my favorite character.
Saralyn Quelenneth has a homebrew class called Spirit Caller, and it is very interesting. Her class would add a great addition to the team, and make this an intriguing story.
Ghurk Bra'kathu is a cool character. Almost every campaign has a strong fighting character, but this one has a cool background. Being a bugbear soldier, he would add some good strength to the team.
Olineiros's story as a thief is intriguing. But what I like most is the combination of being a bard and a criminal thief at the same time. I love how unique this character is.
Thank you, everyone, these are my favorite characters so far, but that doesn't mean the others won't get in. You are all doing great, and I know great entries will continue to come. I'll see you later, and post updates soon. Bye.
ps, I love all your donuts
Awesome!

If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.
Awesome, thanks! If i don't get in, I hope that y'all have fun!
Thanks, I'm excited for this campaign. Hasn't even been 24 hours yet, and I have about a dozen entries. And don't worry, you still have a chance. And if I don't choose you, maybe I'll see you in a future campaign.

Name: Crunchface Bloodspur. That’s what his real name means. He translated it into common because no one he’s met Can pronounce it.
Race: Half-orc
Class (Multiclass allowed later) Lunar sorcerer
Backstory. What is your story?: His Father was a human who joined a half-orc horde. He was raised in said horde, trained to fight, and the only survivor in a died with a rival clan. One day soon after, he was lamenting the loss of his tribe over a bit of whiskey, got a bit drunk and accidentally had a fling with a moon goddess. He remembers none of this, but does know that he’s got all sorts of cool powers.
How did you find out about the Pearl Defenders?: He’s looking for work, heard about it when inquiring for adventurous-type jobs.
Optional Info:
Your character's personality. (Grumpy but honorable, backstabbing traitor, scaredy-cat, etc.): Acts solemn but has an acute sense of humor. Very loyal to his friends and Allie’s. Likes fighting.
Your main attack style. Weapons, tactics, etc. Wack em with magic missile and fire bolt, defend with shield, and use a mace or shocking grasp in melee.
Also whatever you'd like to add. I like ducks?
And also how often you can post. :Lots.
That was entertaining to read. Funny.
Thanks. That’s my main quality, comic relief.
Although Crunchface seems like a joke character, he’s not entirely. I actually take him seriously and he’s one of my favorite OC’s.

If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.
Everyone, I'm very excited to start this, but I'm still excepting entries. So I decided to post a little sneak peek to make this even more exciting. I hope you like it. Note: This is NOT the beginning of the campaign, this is a flashback to before it starts.
The King paced back and forth in his throne room, often glancing at the high window. Grey clouds were stirring in the distance. They looked like thin smoke, except there was no fire anywhere to spread it. The clouds would be there in the morning, gone by lunch, then come back for supper in a huge storm, raining filthy water on this village. This desert village. We never get clouds here. And the clouds seemed to get thicker every day, pattern and position always changing.
The king turned over to one of his guards. "Have the fields been cleared, Darius?" Darius, a rather plump dwarf with a curly red beard, stood up, bowed to the king, then said, "No, your majesty. We cleared out the snakes, but now there is, some sort of a... um, a mutant bull. With 3 horns. It's been eating the crops." He looked out the window, then quickly added, "But your majesty, we will clear it out at once."
The King looked out the window again. It was getting windy. The clouds were thickening. "And the men, the ones I sent to enter the temple, still no sign?" The guards grew silent, and the king continued saying, "Well, if they are still gone, then I know one thing for sure. I spoke with others. The wisest, Mariadun the wizard, Pakius and his brother Paiton, Flint of the dwarfs. They all agree that the problem is not the temple, rather there must be something much large, hiding somewhere we should have looked before. The temple is just the entrance."
The King picked up his staff. "I want you all to tell everyone, everyone, that I need heroes to enter that temple. Strong ones that will be greatly honored. Bribe them with gold if you have to. But only except the strongest." He glanced at a few half-orcs in the corner, and they walked towards the king, carrying a barrel of riches. Coins, jewelry, gems. "Tell them that they can get all have a golden goblet, full to the brim with treasures from this barrel. If still nobody comes, tell them two goblets. We need all the help that we can get."
And a crash like thunder, as goblins raided the village.
How refreshing - someone on social media who actually knows how to use punctuation. That writing's really good, though I don't want to sound like I'm sucking up to try and get you to pick me. But seriously, well written.

Will everyone stop calling him "The Demogorgon"? It's his name, not a title!

Don't worry, you're on my current list of the best options. I love the spirit caller class.
Kronk, Fighter, Race: Monstrosity (using half-Orc stats), Attitude: Fiercely controlled violence is the first thing most folk feel when meeting Kronk for he is extremely intimidating, due to his stature and appearance. Two other things add to the sense of fury that lies just below his grotesque appearance, the huge iron bar he wields as though a tooth pick, and the medallion he wears - made of some sort of deep, blood-red metal, it depicts an alien monstrosity that seems to be eating itself, it is very disturbing to look upon. His face is lopsided, one eye orange, the other a deep red and lower on his left cheek than the right one; both glow like angry entities. Oddly though, Kronk is extremely polite, though in a very stilted way, as though he had no experience with dealing with people (which is understandable given his backstory).
Backstory:
Kronk is an abomination, there is no other word for it. It seems a rather insane Necromancer was experimenting with mashing together different corpses and body parts. In one experiment, his last, unfortunately for him (or maybe not), he was working with the corpse of an halfling and a corpse of an ogre (one of which might have been the original Kronk, who ever that was, but that would be really stretching it.) Needless to say he was working 'discretely,' fearing persecution, out in the middle of nowhere in a very secluded wood. As it happened a thunder and lightening storm sprang up out of nowhere, putting him into a pretty foul mood; but the upshot was dramatic to say the least. Just as he cast the final parts of the spell he was struck by one fork of a bolt of lightening, the other one struck the halfling/ogre mess he was working on. It appears to have killed the necromancer but at the same time transferred his life force into the mess he was ensorcelling, causing it to animate into the being that calls itself Kronk. By-the-by, for some reason unknown to himself, Kronk HATES necromancers. He has no memory of what happened, just remembers coming to in a storm next to a rather crispy corpse and the brutal struggle to find a place in the world that followed. Kronk has a rather strange affinity for dead things, not anything really corrupt or depraved, but he thinks that they talk to him and that he can sometimes talk to them. He has no fear in that regard. I class Kronk as a half-orc, but he is not really, as stated he is a monstrosity, with a rather intense charisma for such a creature. He thinks that lightening gives him powers, just what kind, well it could be that he is just delusional, but who knows, there are stranger things running around. When he became aware of his surroundings for the first time he was very confused, no thoughts entered his head as to what had happened or what was going on. Stumbling around in the woods he came upon the necromancer's abode wherein he found supplies and, most fortuitously for him, some armour that fit, no only that, the armour help hide what he was from unsympathetic folk who would rather burn him to a crisp - the Frankenstein Syndrome one might say. He also found the iron bar that he uses as a weapon of choice at the present time, along with strange medallion; made of some sort of red metal, it depicted an alien thing that appeared to be eating itself - very disturbing to look upon. Secretly, in his heart of hearts, Kronk thinks that the creature depicted in the medallion created him. For quite some time, Kronk wandered the edges of civilized spaces trying to figure out how to fit in; he soon came to realize that he could make room for himself using the iron bar and his ferocious strength to make himself fit in. People now rarely give him much grief but, surprisingly, find that for all that he is polite, almost fiercely so.

Remember, I'm still giving everyone Monday and Tuesday to post characters, so this is not a final decision, just what I'm thinking right now.
Also, I forgot one thing, what time zone is everyone in?
