As Rain unstrings his bow, he ignores the orc and speaks to the guard. "Yes, we want to question this orc. Here!" Rain makes a quick gesture, pointing down at the ground. "Now! Before you take him anywhere. The attack is over, but do you think we have time to go back to the castle, hey? While we question the orc, could you send a messenger to the castle to tell them that the attack has been repelled, and have someone run back here with my backpack and spear. Right away, hey? They're in Rain's room, next to Rolan's."
"Yes sir." A guard says, mounting a horse as he rides toward the castle to get the backpack and spear.
Rain finally turns to look again at one of the guards holding the orc (the one not talking to Jor if that conversation is still going on) and asks, "Has he been searched? If so, we'd like to see everything that was found. If not, we need to search him now."
"Yes sir." A guard says, taking the backpack and spear.
(OOC: Clarification. Rain left his backpack and spear at the castle. He doesn't have that gear with him. Since the party seems prepared to head out into the desert next to track the retreating troops and do some reconnaissance at the temple, Rain is just trying to get someone to fetch his gear from the castle so that the party can depart sooner. So, a messenger rides up to castle, delivers his messages, and then returns with his gear. In the meantime, the party can question the orc.)
As the messenger mounts his horse, Rain says, "Oh, and give my thanks to the king for the gift of the longbow! Tell him that I already put it to good use against the enemy in this latest battle."

"He had a mace and a javelin, that was all."
"OK. While I wait for my other gear, I want to talk to this orc." Rain glances around and points uncertainly with the dagger he's holding, asking, "Is there a guard room or some other place where we can extract information from him in private?"
Since Rain doesn't trust anyone outside his party, he doesn't want to tip their hand or reveal what they already know in case there are spies among the city guards. He'd prefer to be alone with the orc with just the party. Barring that, he'd like to minimize the number of guards present. If there's no guard room, then he'd at least like a spot that's not out in the middle of the street. Find a spot at the corner of a wall or something. If they have a stool or bale of hay or something, have the orc sit. The two guards who were escorting the orc can stay to ensure that the orc doesn't try to run off.
The others canjoin Rain in interrogating the orc. Or, if they'd prefer, they could go talk to other guards about how the battle started or search for clues on the field of battle in front of the walls. Once Rain is done with the orc, he'll share whatever he learns with the others.
As they move to wherever they'll do the interrogation, Rain asks to see the mace and javelin that were taken from the orc. He wants to see whether the orc's weapons seem to be typical orc/goblin fashion, more gear from the king's armory, or something else. Anything unusual about the weapons? (I guess it's maybe an Investigation18 check. I rolled with advantage for "recalling information about your favored enemies.") Once he's done looking at the weapons, the guards can take those away with the rest of the gear collected from prisoners and fallen goblins.
Is this the tattooed orc? Do the tattoos tell us anything? (skill]Investigation[/skill] 18 check, again with advantage.)
Once he's done looking at the mace and javelin, Rain would like to search the orc. In particular, remove his boots and belt and any packs or pouches to check for hidden items. (Is that also Investigation21, or do you prefer a Perception6 check for searches?)
If other party members are there, Rain quietly shares whatever he finds with them before going to interrogate the orc.
Jorzaeramon joins Rain. While Rain is looking at the orc's gear, Jor stands close to the orc, holding his crystal-topped black rod, staring at the orc intently. Jor does not say anything, waiting to see whether the orc expresses any impatience or anger. When dealing with uncooperative people, Jor has found that it's best to wait for them to become agitated and emotional first. That generally makes them less careful and more likely to let some information slip.
There is a corner behind a building filled with barrels, you can be alone with the Orc there and it's big enough for the party if they are joining you.
Investigations and Perception:
The weapons seem ordinary, with some customization such as brass on the handles.
This Orc has no tattoos, although you notice a small symbol cut into his palm. As you are familiar with the Orc language, you easily recognize it as the word "might" or "power", probably for intimidation.
I think searching is Investigation. You search him and find he has nothing else with him.
Jor stares at the Orc, and the Orc returns the look with an intimidating glare. Eyes down to slits and teeth bared, he gives a look that would intimidate anyone who hasn't seen war.

Jorzaeramon is practiced in controlling his expression and how he presents himself. He continues staring at the orc with no reaction other than a slight hint of a smile at the corner of his mouth.
While Jor wouldn't want to fight the orc one-on-one, the orc's glare isn't very intimidating while the orc is unarmed, bound, and surrounded by guards and the rest of the party. While Jor doesn't have much experience dealing with orcs, he has dealt with plenty of dangerous criminals, and he judges that the orc is similar: untrustworthy, dangerous, and likely to resort to violence as soon as he has an advantage.

Ok, that makes sense. The guard runs to the castle to get your backpack and spear. I'll edit that post.

The Orc continues to stare, unblinking as he looks into Jor's eyes. He stops the intimidation stare though, as he knows it isn't working.

Due to a variety of problems, this campaign is off. It was nice while it lasted :)
