"Phew! Those snakes were nasty!" Cariadne wipes blood off her rapier. She goes to inspect their corpses. Anything strange about them? Are they the same kind of snake as the skin they found earlier? nature 18

The poisonous snakes appear to be even larger specimens of the source of the skin.  Both types are common to the area, but are far larger than usually found.

Liadyllea would examine the snakes and attempt to extract any poison for later use.

As she kneels down to the snakes she absentmindedly asks, "How is everyone feeling? Is everyone okay?"

Liadyllea manages to extract a moderate amount of poison, where does she store it?

Cariadne is a little bloodied still, but shrugs. "I wouldn't mind a few minutes to bandage my wounds."

(OOC is there such a thing as were-snakes?)

OOC: Weresnake is not a standard D&D monster.  Make a DC 20 Arcana or History check.

Also, in my games remember, a short rest is 10 minutes.  Long rests are as per standard rules.

Liadyllea will store the potions in some empty bottles on hand. Likely leftover healing potion vials.

As Cariadne mentions needing a rest, she looks in her direction and gives a sharp nod of agreement.

Cariadne sits down by a rock and bandages her wounds. (takes a short rest to recover some HP)

She knows nothing :D

Bart will sit and use his water skin to clean his wounds from the snake's fangs, and wrap them up tight. 

(Two hit dice, in campaign log, back up to max)

"Let's get back on task, finding the girl. The snake is... Unusual. I'd never have guessed to find such a large snake in these parts." Bart looks concerned, suspicious as he often is of literally everything, or so it seems. 

"Yeah this snake is bigger than it should be. It's also the same kind of snake that shed the skin we found at the girl's house. Weird!"

After your rest, Jenniwyn pipes up and says, "What now?"

Cariadne finishes searching around the area more carefully. Does she find any more signs of snakes, or anything else unusual?

Bart will be going back to searching for the trail we started to follow just prior to fighting the snake.

You follow the path deep into the forest, after several hours it begins to get too dark to easily follow the trail on the general northeast tack it's been taking.  Bart or another can attempt a survival check with disadvantage to continue the search by torchlight or otherwise you all could try resting overnight and continue in the morning.
