"And I had forgotten about your capabilities Cerau, they would indeed come in very handy at this point."
Cerau smiles and nods at Tyto, getting prepared to share her blessing. As Fiach and Katarina mentions their abilities to see in the dark, Cerau looks to the halfling man quizzically before deciding there is no harm in sharing a blessing with an ally, I suppose, even if Elmin doesn't need it. Much like she had done before in the pitch darkness of the tunnel, Cerau raises her lithe hand up above her hair and a darkness spreads 10ft from her fingertips. All traces of light within 10 ft of her are snuffed out but as the darkness retreats back into the gentle cleric, Elmin, Tyto, Swan and Nesim's eyes adjust to the night around them and they find themselves able to see in much greater clarity.
Eyes of Night
1st-level Twilight Domain feature
You can see through the deepest gloom. You have darkvision out to a range of 300 feet. In that radius, you can see in dim light as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light.
As an action, you can magically share the darkvision of this feature with willing creatures you can see within 10 feet of you, up to a number of creatures equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of one creature). The shared darkvision lasts for 1 hour. Once you share it, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend a spell slot of any level to share it again.
She smiles, "Now we should all be able to see." Her voice ringing with an echo of silver bells. Her gaze lands on Nesim, "Nesim, apologies but you're caught up in the middle of a mystery and I would feel far safer if you were to travel alongside our group." She pauses and looks to Swan for an affirming opinion. "You needn't be involved in any scuffles but you shouldn't stay here alone."
Cerau travels as quietly as she can and as she looks up towards the figures past the rocky ledge she is grateful for her air genasi heritage and familiarity with heights. It would be a painful fall for any of them.

Fiach is still becoming accustomed to working as part of a group - but deep-down knew it was essential to success. But her instincts told her that sneaking up on a potential enemy was best done by one or two stealthy individuals, as opposed to a whole party. But she was finding her way with the remainder of the group and so held her tongue...for now.
Katarina does her best to be silent... cat-like... approaching the strange group. Though honestly, she's not sure why everyone seems to assume that these people are a threat. Maybe they're just fellow travelers?

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
As you slowly gather around a big boulder, that would definetly give you some shelter from possible observers, you begin to hear somewhat heated talk that is lead in the camp above. At the beginning you can grasp only single words like "...keep this...", "...burn...", "...father...", but as you get quiet, what you hear makes more sense.
"...and I tell you one more time, it is only for our benefit. If we could g..." the male voice stops mid word as a dry twig snaps under Cerau's foot.
"Did you hear that?" the same voice asks quietly.
"Do not worry. This must be an animal of some sort..." another male voice answers followed by a womans "Come on, have some rest and drink. This is the good stuff!".
As Katarina, sure of her natural grace avoids a lose rock, that if touched, would surely made some noise, puts her foot (paw?) on a solid ground, a small lizard that hid under it, screeches surprisingly loud and runs into the night.
"I heard THAT!" says the woman and moment later you can see a head appear above the edge raising a burning piece of wood above. Another head pops up looking into the darkness below.
Swan's amber eyes shimmer with appreciation as Cerau's magical blessing washes over her. She blinks a few times, adjusting to the newfound clarity of her surroundings in the evening. The gentle smile she offers Cerau is filled with gratitude, "Thank you, Cerau. I'm not the stealthiest, but it might be safer if we all stick together."
Hearing the woman's voice, knowing they can't hide anymore, Swan steps up from the dark, trying to deescalate the situation. "Apologies, we didn't intend to intrude. We are just planning to set up camp around here and saw the fire, so we wanted to see who else's around."
Hearing no reply the voice sounds impatient. "Well? Who are you?" the man shouts and moments later a torch is raised above his head giving some light in the surrounding area.

"I don't care, I'm still free. You can't take the sky from me..."
The mans voice sounds a bit more relaxed. "So... you are traveling? So are we." The mans head pops up out of the edge and is visible in the light of the torch, the face features however are hidden in the shadows. "Where to do the good winds guide you?"

Swan tries to get a better look at the other group and gauge what kind of people they are. "We are searching for a missing friend. His trail has let us this way."
Fiach remains silent and guarded. Her background and upbringing has made her a mistrusting sort and until proven otherwise, she was going to be especially guarded against strangers, or more accurately any random strangers met in the wilderness. Who knew what their motives were?
OOC - sorry for the delay. I have covid again and I have some problems to keep my focus.
It is very hard to have a good look at the people up there. With a torch raised up high, you can see the male head (most likely the one who is speaking) and the other one. The third person is nowhere to be seen.
"A missing friend you say?" The male voice speaks with a hint of relaxation in his voice. "What has happened to him? Perhaps we saw him or passed him by?". The head turns to one of the companions and whispers something.
Then he stands up with a torch in his hand. He takes a step closer to the edge and how you can see him quite well. He is dressed in a travelers clothing - quite common, nothing fancy. He has a short sword in his hand he now puts back to his belt. He looks down keeping the torch behind his head.
"We can share a fire if you want, but I am afraid our food will not be enough for the four of you, but if you have your own, come on up." He invites you with a gesture.
Everyone, please make a perception check.

"We are looking for a half-elf named Leosin. He was last seen at Greenest, but he's gone missing during the attack." Swan explains the situation. "Thank you for your kindness. We do have some supplies, and a shared fire would be welcome company on this dark night." She turns to her companions and nods, hoping they will get some help from these travellers.
It's quite hard to get anything from such a short conversation, but Eloin doesn't get neither any wierd vibes nor no hint of treason. They definetly do not say everything, but no lie was spoken.
As Tyto is standing up, the man takes a step back in awe. Looking like a small, moss covered boulder Tyto's voice echoes in the night.
"W... what....?" the man stutters a bit frightened.
As Swan speaks up, the man looks to her. "You come from Greenest?" he asks while his friend adds some dry, sap rich pine branches to the fire and flames almost immediately rise up giving a lot more light, almost hurting your eyes.
Tyto:
As you are standing up, you can see a small figure trying to sneak to the left side, away from the camp up. The entry slope is to the right from the fire, and the person is sneaking to the left.
