"I always prefer to operate during the day but that doesn't seem to be the best solution for our mission. If that is agreed upon let us continue that way. "
"Aye, let's do this. Wait until night, sabotage tha boat, light tha fort on fire, and let them come to us. Sounds like a plan! We should rest up and finish preparations then."
"I've got some oil!"Avery fishes out a flask from her bag and offers it to the others.
"Will that be enough though? That's a lot of wood and they might smother it before it gets a chance to do much damage to the fort. Maybe I should head back and see if there are any weak points?"
"That is an excellent idea Miss Highdale! I would recommend that. Hear, take my tinderbox as well. You might need it, and are far more likely to be successful with it than the rest of us." Teller hands Avery his tinderbox.

"Whoa, hang on there Teller. I know this all very exciting, but I ain't setting the entire place on fire yet. I'm just gonna scout it out again and see if there might be something I missed. Some kind of weak point that might be better to hit instead of shooting blindly. I appreciate your confidence in my ability though." Avery worries her lip between her teeth, suddenly unsure of the coming events.
"Hey, before we hunker down and settle on this, maybe we should see if we can, you know, maybe capture one of these guys? Lure out a small group and knock em out. Get one to spill the beans. Cause that looks like a pretty big place and it might have quite a bit of people. It be easier if we knew what we were up against. Maybe they have like secret tunnels or something."

"I suggest if we have someone headed over to check on the area that the rest of us move off of the beaten path in case anymore of their lackeys are travelling back." Arynn suggests. "We don't want to give them an early alert to our presence."
"Looks like we have our window of opportunity."Arynn suggests to the others in a hushed tone. "We can use the recent guard change to infiltrate; if we can take out those guards, they shouldn't receive any relief for a few hours, giving us time to work."
"Unfortunately I didn't bring a bale of hay and burlap sacks to make proxies." Arynn says with a hint of sarcasm. "So long as we don't raise the alarms, everything should go well. Remember, we're not here to kill them. We're here to bring them in to face the justice of the land. Kill only if necessary..."
Alan nods to Avery, reconsidering his initial assessment of the tiny person.

Teller does not sense anyone approaching the fort.
At this time it is about 6pm and the sun will be setting in about 3 hours.
Other than the guards there is no notable activity in the fort. From your watching however it does appear that they switch guards about every 4 hours.

"If you get the chance, tie them and prop them on something so they appear to be upright." Arynn advises.
"In the dark a straw man would be hard to discern and easier to place standing. An added bonus is they don't moan."

"They be brigands, likely followin' some undead monstrosity. See no reason to stay thy blade; dead men raise no alarms."
