As the food and wine sit heavy in his full belly, Marley suddenly remembers how tired he is after his all-nighter tea brewing session. "I think Marley needs to head to that Noble's Rest," he says with a yawn. He is however excited about the job posting he saw, for guarding a researcher exploring old ruins, and shows that to the others before they leave the building.
In the morning he'd be interested in exploring the city and doing some shopping, especially if any magical items and potions might be available.
The Noble's rest is the best inn in town and you stay in the finest rooms available bath included. (advantage on your next ability check).
The market in the city is large and has just about anything you could possibly want (any non magical items in reason is available). After walking around you find there is a dedicated magic item shop. Ryu's Magic Emporium. There is also a potions shop called Potions and Poisons.
You could also search the open air market if there is a specific item your looking for (requires a luck roll. A d100)
**Note I forgot to mention. I will be breaking time into 3, morning, afternoon, night. Each event takes a time slot. So in this case shopping would be a time slot but searching the market for the magic items not at Ryu's shop would also be a time slot.
Yes mundane items cost per the PhB. I do allow haggling. Requires a persuasion check but failing can have negative consequences**
We will start with the mundane items, then do the potions and Ryu's shop (items are random here) then we can RP the Market
Maz is primarily on the lookout for any magical instrument. And, after nearly dying, he’d like some nice armor. He’d love to find glamoured studded leather armor if possible. Maz would also be easily distracted by any ordinary items that have magic such as flasks, jugs, back packs, etc.
(There is also 463 gold from the cave battle if folks didn't take their cut of that yet... do we split with Mickey?)
Up to y'all but I will say that cutting Mickey out of the reward money will negatively effect your relationship with him. So it's up to y'all but 500 would go to him and however much from the battle y'all choose.
Yep
Maz would be interested in adding to his collection of magic instruments. He’d also be open to getting some new weapons and armor possibly.

Sam will join Marley in the shopping for magical items, health potions and better armor
D&D since 1984
Maz would take the rest and then get up with the group for breakfast and shopping.

Where do you go first
Sam is looking for the one or a couple of the following items
(NOTE - magic items are rarity - uncommon):
- Plate, Half-plate or Splint armor (would the cost be at the PHB prices or +/-)
- Healing Potions (2)
- Cloak of Protection
- Armor of the fallen
- Gauntlets of Ogre Power
- Plate of Knights Fellowship
D&D since 1984

Marley wakes up feeling refreshed and eager to explore the city. After washing down breakfast with a few cups of coffee he plans his shopping trip:
Sell: High quality scimitar
Buy: quiver of arrows, 3 daggers, 5 days rations, catnip, tobacco
Luck Roll: 73
Sam would probably look for the magic items first and then see what's left

Ok to the market first. Sam and Maz need y'all to roll a d100 since everyone is looking for something different.
Sam, the search is on :-)

Good roll
You are able to find the cloak of protection being sold for 800 gp and the gauntlets being sold for 700 gp.
Let's split it with Mickey. Its only fair.
D&D since 1984
No luck on the magical armors? (Armor of the fallen or Plate of Knights Fellowship)
D&D since 1984
Not this time. When we get there Ryu can search for items but it costs money and time
Luck: 61
Maz looks around curiously.
