In reply to Maziara he says, "Ah well, to work for the Duke of course. But that is just a means to an end, my friend. I have bigger fishes to fry, yes." He rubs his chin and pulls at his whiskers as he continues, "Elven ruins... that is where the real adventure lies."
He looks around the group. "We would make a good team, to make an expedition... don't you think?"
Micky: Hello friends! Wanted to stop by and let you know the watch on the North side have seen some scouts keep a large fire tonight.
He drops his voice to a whisper.
Micky: The guards are nervous they think a big attack is coming. Apparently we are transporting a special chest from the King to the Duke and they think that's why we got hit so hard.
In his normal voice again.
Micky: I'm camped at that fire over there cone buy in the morning I'm making fresh bread. Good luck tonight.
Micky pauses for questions before he strolls away
DM: Continue RP, im loving it so far, when your ready everyone roll a perception check please.
Micky: Thank you, I feel weird. Calm, excited, embarrassed, and alive. A guard let me know I pissed myself sometime during the fight or after... I never noticed. But how are yall? Fine I bet yall are all experienced in live and death stuff huh. Especially you as a veteran an all.
“You did good Micky. In the face of possible death you stood your ground and helped turn the tide.” Maziara smiles at him “Tea tonight, bread in the morning. We do make a good crew!”
The rest of the evening is a pleasant as everyone finishes their tea. Eventually the camp turns in for the night.
DM: everyone gets a short rest.
Crunchface your shift goes without much going on. With a 10 you can hear motion in the area but because of the firelight your eyes have trouble focusing as they shift constantly between darkvision and normal vision. (That's how that works? Maybe?)
Marley with your 13 you see the gathering goblins dozens of them.
Fearing an attack you wake the others.
DM: You all will go then the goblins. As long as you stay in the wagon circle you will have 3/4 cover +5 to AC against all on the outside. Normal if they get over the wagons. No initiative in this fight. Everyone will go in any order then the attackers will go.
You hear a whistle in the camp and yelling to arms to arms they attack.
10 Goblins appear on the edge of the light. An arrow Flys in and hits the wagon right where Marley is keeping watch.
Maziara, who had managed to get some sleep following the nice warm cup of tea, quickly becomes alters to the situation. He grabs his dagger, ready for any goblins that try to enter the caravan. Thinking to himself “man these goblins don’t quit”.
Knowing his lack of long range damage, Maziara turns to embracing his bardic powers. He turns to Sam and speaks to him with words of power and strength.
”Sam, with all your might and power we can easily win this fight. Pick them off one by one, and we are sure to achieve victory.”
Cruchface: Hit. You target the goblin and sling your spell. The poor creature bends over wrenching up its dinner with so much force it falls over dead.
Marley: Miss. after sounding the alarm you take aim an release the arrow. The arrow sails just behind your intended target.
Maziara: your words inspired Sam to action.
Sam: Hit. After Maziara encouraging words you take aim and release an arrow. Bullseye... goblin's eye it tumbles to the ground.
The goblins are up. 8 remain
They charge the wagon and attack the defenders (I'm assuming your all right next to the wagon. If your now let me know)
Two attack Crunchface. 16 and 19 to hit. For 1 and 2 damage.
Two attack Marley 16 and a 7. With the cover both miss.
Two attack Maziara: 18 and 10 to hit. 1 hit 1 miss for 1 damage.

Marley drops his bow and draws his rapier as the incoming goblins attack. He stabs at the goblin that barely missed with its attack, then slashes with his claws.

(Doh... natural 1 with the rapier ends turn, glad we don't have the weapon drop rule anymore!)
Crunchface nods his ponderous head and accepts a cup as well.
