Yall take a moment and heal up and look around. You notice that the ooze and starting to move again. 

Crunchface as you shoot the firebolt it sails into the next room. The bright light messes with your dark vision for a moment but switching to light vision you see a violet glow in the next room. 

There is nothing else of note in this room.

“I see violet glow in the next room.”

(Ha, I just remembered that I have Light)

Crunchface mutters a few words and pick up a rock. The rock starts glowing, emitting bright light for a 20 ft radius and dim for another 20 ft. If the others are ready ill continue on to the next room. 

Marley nods his thanks to Maz, then pulls out a healing potion from his pack and drinks it down.

Healing Potion: 4

Alchemist Ring +1d6 when drinking healing potion: 3

He moves towards the entrance to the next room and tries to get a good look without revealing his position if possible.

Lol well with your so so stealth roll you make a bit of noise creeping up to the door. You slip on a bit of ooze and yelp as you slip into the muck. Getting up you make your way to the door holding your breath.

The room a large hallway with tree roots crossing it. In the middle of the room is a large black mound you almost didn't see but the vilot light shimmers a little as it passes through. In the back of the room is a large root you assume is the tap root with a dagger sticking out of it. The dagger is giving off the light as well as an unnatural pressure that makes you feel a bit ill.

The black mound does not seem to notice the noise as you exhale and return to the party

Marley wipes some ooze from his fur as he quietly reports what he saw to the others.

Crunchface nods and offers “Want me shoot it with Firebolt?”

Marley rubs his chin with a thoughtful frown, as he seems to ponder a reply to Crunchface.

Maz would look at the group. "Before you shoot it, let me try something else." Maz concentrates for a moment before extending his hand. As he does, a magical hands continues out from. his. He has cast Mage Hand. 

"Should I try to remove the dagger?" He asks the group?

Crunchface shrugs, then nods. 

Cool. I'll say the dagger is exactly 30 feet from the room entrance, so if you want to do this your need to do a stealth check as you move into range.

A grin slowly spreads across Marley's face, widening to show sharp yellow teeth as he nods,  "I like this idea..."

He then looks to Crunch, "Back up plan," and readies his bow.

(Sounds good!) 

Maz looks ant the group “cover me.” He whispers as he attempts to creep into the room so that he can command the hand far enough to reach the dagger.

Wow so lucky the black pudding rolled a 2. 

You can do the thing discribe what you want to do. Mage hand to grab the dagger then what.

(Sigh of relief) 

Maz pulls the dagger from the root with Mage Hand. The dagger floats over to the group and hovers there. Maz would inspect the weapon and see if he can garner any knowledge from it and would invite others to do the same. 

“think this will help cure the trees?” He asks with a slight smile. 

(If needed I’ll roll investigation and arcana for ya)

As soon as the dagger touches your hands you feel a surge of magical energy over take your body.

Roll a Wisdom save please.

A voice appears in your mind.

 While Maz is holding the dagger. Everyone else notices a change in the surroundings improve. The ooze disappears and the darkness starts to lighten 

Crunchface looks around, nodding at the improvement.
