Marley it looks like Maz is going through an mental battle. The roots also look healthy again as little rodents appear from the walls and the driad approaches looking young again.
Driad: You did it the tree is recovering. She flashes a smile.
Marley seems content to let the others do the talking for the moment as he voraciously digs into his salad. He looks.up from his bowl upon repeatedly hearing the word "conclave", then wipes a few bits of mushroom from the fur on his chin as he waits to see how the dryad will respond.
Maz is unaware of others talking to him as he stares at knife, almost as if he's staring into it. He has enough awareness to realize the group is leaving the tree and follows, all the while holding and eyeing the dagger. A bead of sweat might be noticed running down his forehead.
I was right then..... mmm I'm not sure if I'm the one to tell you about them. I know Grandmother Willow was once a member. I figured you where members or "friends" as they refer to themselves and that's why she sent you to undue the mess the old man caused or young man now I don't know... is it normal for you humans to get younger?
Although the answer seems obvious, Marley decides that Sam as the human of the party would be the best one to answer the dryad's question. He suppresses a belch and briefly wonders as to the dining etiquette of the dryad folk, then resumes enthusiastically eating his salad.
Sam responds "Yes, we are a friend of Grandmother Willow. But in regards to humans getting younger as time passes, it is the other way a round. We start as small younglings and then grow to adult hood, like I am now, and then maturity to old age."
I knew he was a strange one then. If your done here you should get back to grandma. Tell her the conclave did this. The ones with the sliver rings. She will know what that means.
"Amazing..." Marley exclaims, also noting the improvement. "Very nice work," he says to Maz with admiration, as he stares at the dagger.

(Ooc: good job avoiding the boss)
(I probably wouldn’t have survived the boss fight with only 4 hp and 5 temp)
If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.
(LOL yall can choose to take a short rest anytime you want I'll adjust as required)
Ha ok)

If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.
Seeing the look on Maz's face, Marley feels his excitement start to fade as he asks, "Are you okay my friend?"
(short rest sounds good)
Dryad: please let's go back to the surface. I'll make you lunch before you leave.
Crunchface nods, glancing concernedly at Maz.
If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.
Maz a bit unresponsive as the party makes its way back to the surface.
The mist is gone In its place is a beautiful meadow full of flowers and wild life.
Lunch consists of a dandelion salad with sautéed mushrooms and acorns with some of the cleanest water you've ever had. (Short rest)
Maz the water clears your mind.
The voice has gone quite.
So I'm glad you've come but what brought to us. Not to be rude but yall don't seem to be friends of the conclave?
“Con…clave?”
If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.
"What do you mean, Conclave?" Sam asks
