The party departs Little Oak for Loomlurch. Its takes longer than usual as they party would now pole against the flow of the river. Eventually the party takes the northeast river towards Loomlurch but the waters turn into rapids. Rushing over dangerous boulders.
Do you try to keep on staying on the river or head to Loomlurch on foot?

As the river turns to rapids, Valrieth says, "As you know, Finley, I am a friend of Water, but these waters seem unruly and chaotic! I haven't prepared any spells for dealing with a river whose soul is as turbulent as this." There's some real anxiety in her voice (especially if WIll and the other children are with them in the boat). She suggests, "Maybe the realm gets less friendly as we approach the hag's home? I think that we should get to the shore and walk the rest of the way."
ilifir casts a longing gaze on the rapids, then drags his eyes away "that. would likely be for the best valrieth" he says glancing once more at the rushing water, then determinedly beginning to pole the raft over to the shore

This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?
quote from Romantically Apocalyptic byVitaly S Alexius
Yes, the kids are with you as well and Will does not have any potions or blessings.
Now onto land the party and friends travel until late afternoon and the party come across a campfire in the forest. A cauldron of water bubbles over the flames, and a frying pan that holds melted butter rests on a nearby rock. A mushroom creature sings merrily as it dips its cap in the butter.
"This is rather strange, but I guess this place is full of strange things..." Lerak approaches cautiously, trying not to look too frightening. Hands visible, he calls to the mushroom, "Hello my friend, may I approach?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Happy to be on shore and not in the rapids, Valrieth walks along with the others. Since Val's family was poor and moved around a lot, she was accustomed to walking by foot, and after the last two weeks of travel through Hither and Thither, Val has certainly grown accustomed to long days of hiking. But after a while, she notices that the younger children are looking tired or lagging behind. Val suggests that she could give them a ride. Lerak may initially find her request for him to "put the children on my back" odd since she's smaller than Will, but then she transforms into a big horse with a dark, shiny coat.
After a couple of hours, Valrieth stops to let the children off before she transforms back into a harengon. As they walk along again, she plays "I spy" with them to keep them entertained and watching their surroundings.
When they finally approach the campfire, Val says, "Look, Finley! It looks like that little mushroom we saw in a jar in Bad B's pantry in Downfall." She follows Lerak as he approaches the mushroom, keeping her eyes open for the one who made the fire or any other sort of trap.
In a high pitch voice the mushroom creature which is not even a 1foot tall nods "Don't mind me I am just buttering myself as instructed by my friend"
Valrieth glances at the fire, the bubbling water, and the frying pan and then gives the cheerful-looking mushroom a pitying look. She says, "Oh?! Hm..." She looks around and asks, "Who's your 'friend'? And do you know when they'll be back?" She suspect that this "friend" didn't explain why they want the mushroom bathed in butter.
My friend Kro'ah is gathering firewood and should be back soon. Kro'ah asked me to rub butter onto myself and promised a hot bath before dinner. I don't mind helping a friend, so I am lathering myself with this butter." says the mushroom creature as it continues to smear butter onto itself.
Val incredibly sharp hearing picks up the sound of splintering wood off in the distance.

Valrieth says, "Oh! Oh my..." She gives her friends a look and says, "I don't want to scare the little fellow, but it doesn't seem right to leave him here. I'm sure that he doesn't realize that Kro'ah has tricked him into dinner." She looks to Ilifir and Finley, "Maybe you could convince him to come with us before his friend comes back from gathering wood? If he just wants friends, maybe Will and the other children could keep him entertained?"
Val asks Lerak, "Help me look for tracks or some sign of what Kro'ah is -- you never know in the Feywild -- and whether there's more than one 'friend'." Val looks for tracks around the campsite and in the direction where she heard wood-splitting to see whether there's any sign of what and how many they might be dealing with if Kro'ah returns. (Survival8, second roll if she gets adv from Lerak's help: 6)
ilifir breaks out laughing, then interlocks his fingers and pushes outwards, stretching his shoulders "hello small fungi-cap" he begins "my name is ilifir, what is yours?"

The mushroom creature thinks for a bit with a blank stare. "I think I forgot what my name is or did ever have a name. Well, um just call me Amanita. That sounds like a good name." The creature still is lathering itself with more butter.
Val examines the campsite and finds signs of only 1 creature besides Amanita. The tracks belong to a small humanoid. Though not as small as Amanita. The tracks do lead directly to the sound of wood splitting in the distance.
Lerak checks the footprints as well to see if he can get more information (Survival 19). "Well Amanita, it is nice to meet you. Don't you think it is strange that your friend is asking to put some butter on yourself ?" (helping Val).
IS there anything odd at this campsite ? (Perception 21)
"well amanita, i think your friend is planning to play hide and seek with you" ilifir points out in a reasonable tone "the butter is to help you get away better, i think you should play a trick on Kro'ah and run and hide before they get here"

Are Will and the 3 other children from Little Oak in the same boat as the party?
