Valrieth asked to take the watch after Gan-Re so that she could watch in the middle of the night. She'd like to see whether this realm has different stars and constellations if the sky isn't too misty or cloudy.
Valrieth is busy scribbling notes about the strange stars in Prismeer all the way until it's time to wake up Finley for the final watch. (She does not notice the missing rations.)
Its now morning its seems its going to be a gloomy day with the sky covered in dark clouds. There is he scent of rain in air, but none have fallen yet.
After putting away her bedroll, Valrieth decides that she'll eat breakfast today while the party discusses their plans so that she can decide what spells to prepare. She tries to get some biscuits and dried fruit out of her backpack. Not finding any food, she holds up her (much lighter) backpack and asks, "Hey! Um...did anyone take...uh..all of the food out of my backpack last night? It's OK if you did, but..um..why? And where is it?"
(@Weathervision: did they just take the rations? What about the 10 Goodberry berries that Val created last night?)
Gan-Re checks his pack "Ahh my fresh mice and dried venison have all gone. Finley did you eat all the rations again? Well I can scout for fresh meat and berries as we go and we have your magic healing food Val. I will take a look and see what's ahead." With that Gan-Re takes flight and tries to see the end of the causeway and generally get a lay of the land.

If the berries were in the pack then yes its gone as well
(Valrieth normally keeps them in a separate pouch along with her pen, ink well, and yew wand. Those are things that she doesn't want to get squashed at the bottom of her backpack. Since she was taking notes about the stars, I guess that she would have had the pouch with her and not over by the backpacks.)
"Pesky pesky fey played a prank no? unless they got thrown out of our pockets in da portal thingy.... We can hunt and forage for food as we need doe. Where to in the meantime?" Hisashi looks through her pack, showing an empty bag, devoid of snacks.
While they wait for Gan-Re to return from his scouting, Valrieth prepares her spells for today. She takes out her star chart and spends a few minutes meditating over it.
Then, if Gan-Re isn't back, yet, she helps pack up their gear and starts discussing how they'll get down from the causeway. (As I said before, if Finley thinks that it's safe, Val's suggestion is that she, Hisa, and Finley get in the portable hole and then have Gan-Re fold it up and fly down to the ground below. Then he can open it up and help them back out.)
Val is a little worried about trying to climb down, and she considers whether it would be worth trying to wild shape into a creature that can climb, like a squirrel or (if she has seen one before) a giant wolf spider.
Oh! Before they leave their camp site, Valrieth also gets out her notebook to share with everyone the other information that Mr. Witch and Mr. Light shared. (See post #713 and #715 and #726.)
In particular, she says:
It sounds like the Hourglass Coven is a coven of 3 hags. Their names are
Bavlorna Brightstraw
Endelyn Moongrave
Skabatha Nightshade
Based on something they said, it sounds like they think that the hags are here in Prismeer.
Mr. Witch and Mr. Light said that they have not seen Zybilna in over a century. They don't know what happened, only that the coven is in charge now.
They said that the coven "takes" any who do not punch their tickets or who sneak into the carnival without a ticket. Maybe that's what was about to happen with the mirror girl in the Hall of Illusions. Maybe Val and Hisa actually saved that halfling who ran into the Hall of Illusions without getting his ticket punched from being "taken"?
Just before she went through the portal...
Mr. Witch said, "Mind the Rule of Three: future, present, past.”
Mr. Light said, "Find the alicorn and free the dormant queen at last.”
(OOC: I don't think that Val knows what an "alicorn" is. Nature check? 6 (in game log))
Val asks, "Those last hints seemed significant. I don't understand the first one at all. I mean, the Hall of Illusions at the carnival showed us as we looked at different ages, but I don't know how that helps us. I guess that the 'dormant queen' is Zybilna. Has anyone ever heard of an alicorn before? Is it a type of acorn or some sort of magical item or...?"
Gan-Re lands and reports "Not much to see even from above, there is a lot of mist around. However there is only one way to go." He looks at Val and says "Was there something about alicorns in the old stories?"
Gan re's watch was uneventful except for hearing strange animal sounds in the night calling to each other.
Valrieth asked to take the watch after Gan-Re so that she could watch in the middle of the night. She'd like to see whether this realm has different stars and constellations if the sky isn't too misty or cloudy.
During her watch, perception 7 (in game log).
(Apparently, she was too busy looking at the stars to pay much attention to anything else!)
Val' does not notice several tiny creatures of blistering speed infiltrate everyone's packs and steal all of your rations.
Within 1 second they are gone.
There are few stars poking shining through a few gaps in the cloud. None are familiar to Val
Even though no one sees them this is what these tiny creatures look like.

Okay then Val still has her berries
“It weren’t me ah swear. Mine are gone too!” Finley says groggily searching his pack.

The lay of the land is difficult to see as almost all of it is shrouded in mist.
Yes Gan-re sees the end of the causeway

The party needs to head down as there is nothing of note on top of the causeway

From the roll Gan-re might have heard they are related to unicorns.
