“Truly a pleasure to meet you all,” she glances over everyone. “I’m Thursday. So glad to meet some friendly faces. I still don’t know why I’m here or how I go here. I would gladly help you all on your quest.”
She looks down, sadly. “Seeing as how all I have to my name now are these rags... and this bone... I have a lot of work to do.” She ends her sentence as if it hadn’t effected her at all.

Mara sighs at the way the party rushes out tomhelp the other but then shrugs as she had done something much more foolish when she had made a contrac with an unknown entityt to save her teacher after he had fallen ill. She will follow quietly while keeping her eyes out for the large bird she had seen, not relishing the idea of it dragging her off somewhere.
After Leo introduces Dark, he nodes his head to the new members of their party. “Do either of you know anything about that giant bird? Maybe things like.... have you seen it attack?.... where does it nest? Where is it getting its water?”
Dark is not beautiful like most of his kind. He is mostly black in color and he resembles a vulture. He has lived as an outcast to his people most of his life.

Seeing no obvious arms on the newcomer, and realizing most had gathered out in the open, a grumbling Rumble makes his way back to the elven children side. That is if they had remained inside the tower. And just kind of sit with them until the others came back to collect them or with plans of a future course.
Otherwise, after giving the duo a once over, he steps away from the throng to see if he can spy the smoke they mentioned, if not this so called giant bird. Sure, he heard what could've been one earlier. But either this zone was bigger than he thought, or whoever was in charge was just playing a joke them.
Looking around the surroundings, it appears that the group is now in a dip between multiple dunes of sand. After looking around Rumble can just about make out what seems to be the faintest trail of smoke off in the distances. In addition, it appears that the sheltered cover continues higher, as it looks like the opening the group came through has an enormous stone spire that continues up into the sky. This place looks a lot more open than the sweet grass area; much more open.
"We don't know anything about this bird. We only saw it once briefly. It swooped in, took our friend, a large half-orc, and flew off. We've only been from that spire there," Thursday says as she gestures to the direction they came from, "and came straight here, minus our fight with some sand imps."

"Figures those buggers would make their way up here. Or down here, or..." He squints for a second, and then rapidly shakes his head. After mulling things over for a bit, he turns back to the others.
"Now I-I.. I don't mean sound callus, but... if somethin' that big was able to scoop up a half-orc, even together... Oh shucks! There ain't no good way to say it, and I REALLY hate to say it, but... all I can say is that I'm sorry fer yer lost. 'cause there ain't no way gonna be able rescue'm. Even if we didn't have the young'uns with us." He gestures over to the elven children. "But uh.. if no one objects, and... uhm… seeing as we're probably gonna go the same way now given circumstances -- 'less you folk got some other plans -- and mind'ja, don't recommend goin' back the way we came. Uhhh… Yer more than welcome join us?"
Rumble tries to give an assuring smile, though it comes out more pained and weary. "Though either way, I.. hmm... One sec."He goes over to the chest and snatches out the poor qualityshortsword (if noone stops him), and offers it to Thursday. "Here. Least we can do no matter what."
He looks to Steve next and rub his chin. "As fer ya, hmm.." He looks to longsword still at his hip, then back to Steve to study for a moment. "Don't s'pose yer the type to fancy longswords?"
For DM:
Would it be possible for Rumble to break his longsword in such a way that it becomes a shortsword?
Thursday reaches for the shortsword and while it isn't a pair of daggers, she feels right at home with the blade. She smiles and bows her head slightly, turns away and begins to swing it out in the open away from people. Not the craftsmanship she'd prefer but its better than this club. Pleased with the blade she sheaths it.
"Thank you. I could barely swing this clumbsy thing," she holds out the femur, "we've been using this as a club. Can any of you put it to use?"

"I appreciate the offer, Rumble, and if no one objects, I'll gladly take the longsword. If anyone else would like a club type weapon, I have this iron bar from the jail cell I woke up in."
You might be able to. Without tools though, it'd be a difficult job to get a good sense of what to break it with and beyond that you could shatter the blade.
A bird large enough to carry people off did not sound appealing to Mara at all as she prepared herself to begin the trek through the desert. Unlike her time when she had been on an expedition in Calisham she did not expect to find well stocked camels and heavily armed guides that knew the sands by memory.
(Yep. Nothing we can do at all. Goodbye friend some of us never knew~)
"Hah. Those bring back memories." He says, collecting both clubs if no one else does so. "Right... so... Oh right! They don't -- say Mister Leo? Or Mister --" Rumble's eyes grow as wide as saucers as he stares at Killian. "Whoa! Back up a second! Yer names mister killian!?" He looks to the rest of his old group. "Why none of ya say anything?! I mean c'mon now! Now I look like a right 'ol donkey call'n Mister Killian Clinton." He says, pouting with his arms folded over his chest.
"I mean seriously. And I thought we were start'n to bond back there."
Thursday's eyes get wide, she smiles, rests her hand on Rumble's shoulder, "Oh, you're a riot!" she laughs. She has a tendency to get close with the big dumb ones.

Killian, starts to laugh at Rumble, "Listen little guy, I actually didn't mind you calling me by the wrong name all this time, I actually think it made me like you more just for that reason, and I don't think anyone here thought any less of you for it" Killian give Rumble a hardy slap on the back and smiles at him "you can call me whatever you feel like"

"Let's move on before anymore strange creatures choose to find us. Now we need to decide who will lead and who will be in charge of monitoring our food and water so that it will last for as long as possible."
"If one of you is to keep track of our water and rations, here." Thursday holds out the three black balls filled with water, "these all have water stored in them. Lots of water."

Leojym bows his head slightly toward Rumble. "I apologize Mister Rumble. I would have told you sooner but I am unfamiliar with genasi culture and thought you may have a complex convention for proper names." He pauses for a second as if he is unsure he should keep speaking, "Do you prefer to be called Mister Rumble or simply Rumble. I had assumed by the way you address the rest of us that honorifics were standard for genasi."
When Dark mentions flying, a worried expression crosses Leojym's face. "A higher perspective would be nice, so long as we can keep track of you and reach you should trouble arise."
Looking back at Thursday again. "Perhaps I could store those since you have no where to stow them." He holds out his hand to take them and put them in his pouch, "Hopefully this settlement will have backpacks and waterskins, or at least the ability to craft them."
He will also take a club if no one else needs one.
"We found something similar ourselves but the extra ones will be of great use here in the dessert. We have some food but I am not sure how kong it will last now that we are traveling in a larger group. If we ration it wisely though I imagine we will find something to add to it before we run out." Mara says as she smiles toward the newcomers even if she was still somewhat wary of them.
