It appears everyone is weathering the heat fine for the time being. Based on query of beads, there should be a couple of you who still have some should they wish to pipe up.

Killian uses the bottom of his shirt to wipe the sweat from his face. "I got two of those beads your holding there Thursday if you want I can put them with the rest?" 

"Please Killian, thank you." Thursday hands off the beads and continues walking, letting the sweat roll down her face.

Dark takes one more look around for the big bird.  Perception 17

Upon returning to the ground he says, " This place is huge.... I think I can see a thin trail through the sand over there (points towards the smoke trail).  It looks like a small camp with three basic tents.  They have a fire burning.  I don't know why they would need that during the day with it being so hot.  No matter.... I think it looks like some signs of life."

"Maybe... there cooking... something..." Rumble says breathily before smacking his lips. The whole time the others were discussing the water situation, the earth genasi had been listening closely, yet restraining himself from butting in. "Either way... *gulp*… at least we're on the right track... But... uhhh… Mister Bir-... Mister Dark? Might wanna cool'it with the fly'n. Just for a bit... like... seriously. We don't need you getting shot out the sky again 'cause folk thought you were something else." He says, managing a weak but wolfish grin. 

Mara will begin to move to the side as the group discusses there next course of action, taking this as a chance to sit down and gather her thoughts for a bit.

OOC: is there any way to measure the passage of time... ie the movement of a sun or decrease of intensity of light.  I am wondering if we will have a night 

As the group stops to think out their plan of action, Hallens & Gretta place the chest down, looking a little tired as they wipe the sweat from their brow.

Killian pops open a water skin takes a sip himself, before holding it out to the group, "anyone need to wet their whistle?" He stands in the burning sand and shifts his feet back and forth to bury them a bit. A trick he learned while sailing most of the time just a couple inches below the sand is cooler than standing on top of it.

Mara will reach out to take a sip of the water from the skin before passing it along to anyone else that wanted a sip. With her personal thoughts gathered she looks to the rest of the group. "Shall we start moving so that we can perhaps find someplace to serve as shelter?"

Rumble shakes his head to Killian, and just gestures over to the elven twins. He could wait until everyone has taken a swig. And if by the end, there's none left, well... he still had the other skin on hand in case of an emergency. In the meantime, he keeps watch for the most part with his tree branch club slung over a shoulder. "As Mister Dark parted out before, we're well on our way to at least one spot... 'less you chil'ren got someth'n to say?"

Dark says to the group "I don't think we are going to get any break from the light.  It appears that nothing is changing in the sky.  Maybe this place has a perpetual light.  Those tents could be very valuable if we can get to them.  I don't know if anyone has supplies that would work for a temporary shade from the light.  If so we need to be moving to get to some form of shade."

Killian agrees with Dark. "If everyone is ready to go let's not waste any more time burning up in the sun here." He takes the Waterskin back from Mara, motions for the two elven kids to walk by his side and starts walking towards the campsite.

EDIT: Well looks like Killian is going to have a hard time walking, just let me know when to put the 1st level of exhaustion

Steve takes a sip of water, "Thanks Killian and Mara. I hate this place. Hopefully our destination has some good things going for it."

Leojym continues ahead, toward the smoke, asking for a sip of water when needed but always checking to make sure there is some left for when he needs to summon more.

The group continues towards the source of the smoke. After getting atop the dune the group can see the trio of tents that Dark mentioned before. They appear to be made of a simple cloth material, and there is a campfire between them. It appears to be mostly smoldering now, rather than at full blaze.

If people wish to make Perception checks before headed down they may do so.
