As the party engages he Wreji casts bless on himself Pim and Nip. He moves towards Glim and stands between him and the other party members. "Eliminate them quickly! Retrieve our friend from their psychic clutches!"
Nip flies up after Glim and immediately shoots at the closest creature, hitting with both arrows.
Pim draws a red-tipped arrow and follows Nip up the stairs. He shoots this special arrow and kills the first psurlon, injuring both the other creature and Glim. His remaining arrows also strike true!
Glim feels a popping in his head as the creature controlling him is knocked unconcious!
The last psurlon flees down the other ladder to the bridge deck and then down to the battle deck
Wreji(giving you a chance to adjust your action based on the last thing trying to run away...)
Wreji kills the last of the psurlons! As you look around, on the command deck above and behind you, an impressive chair is posed at the end of a catwalk so its occupant can look down onto the bridge floor. Green, glowing maggots crawl over the chair’s current occupant: a headless mind flayer corpse.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nip circles around looking for anything else that could pose danger (Perception 19) and then heads back to the humanoid person that was clearly under their suggestion to see if they are still alive and try to assist them (Medicine Check 24)
Pim slings his bow and draws his dagger moving towards Benoto 'Standback and standby, this is likely one of those fell creatures under some sort of glamour. This entire ship is rotten with stench of mindflayers and psurlons...'
Pim will examine the body, poking it at with his dagger to see if it is indeed humanoid.
“I’m sure this ship is filled with traps and deceivers just like the ones we just fought. I’m on guard… but is Glim.. uh normal again?” He looks at his companion still cautious. Stabbing the two felled creatures one more time just in case.
At the "popping" sensation in his mind, Glim twitches and grimaces. "Cursed mind meddlers! Suggesting things they shouldn't! Glad no-one hurt by my actions, yes." He looks at his companion poking holes in the corpses and ruffles his feathers. "Sure they're dead you're making? Wise. Check for other survivors; hopefully no creepies."
So saying, he'll collect himself before taking a bit more of a look around the room, careful of what he touches. Mainly looking for information sources, but shiny or valuable looking ones won't go amiss.
The four wormlike psurlons are all dead. Benoto remains unconscious but stable, and also seems to be a humanoid. Lying on the floor in area 3 is the headless body of a mind flayer. The stench of the rotting corpse is unpleasant, even from across the way in area 2. The dead mind flayer lies in an otherwise open space where you imagine the ship’s helm used to be.
(You are on the Observation deck (area 2). The command deck (area1) is above you, but the ladder up to that is across the opening from area 3. You can fly up or take the steps down to the bridge deck (area 4) and the ladder up to area 3 and then area 1. Or head back down. The headless body covered in glowing maggots is in area 1...)
Wreji heads up towards the command deck carefully moving up the ladders in case there are any other unpleasant surprises. "Surely there are others that live on this ship.."
Pim stops poking Benoto's body but take a moment to bind him and gag his mouth before sticking with the rest of the party as the explore the decrepit hulk.
(Command Deck - area #1) An impressive chair is posed at the end of a catwalk so its occupant can look down onto the bridge floor. Green, glowing maggots crawl over the chair’s current occupant: a headless mind flayer corpse. Those who are familiar with travels in wildspace know that githyanki knights often behead mind flayers and take their heads as a trophy.
(Wreji - what are you investigating? For me Perception is looking, listening, and/or smelling. Investigating is touching and manipulating things...)
