Kalak can act before Ven, so instead of a death save, Ven can act this round.

Both targets are in darkness, but if the cleric moves closer to them, they won't be.

Kandalou slashes at the woman, cleaving a chunk of armored flesh from her trunk and causing her to slump to one side, though standing normally below the wound, her expression showing little sign of registering the impact.

Slowly, her face deformations as it, along with her body melts into a puddle of red goo.  Several feet away, the pale creature with the huge red eye similarly starts to dissolve into a puddle.  The duo trace the tendrils of red draped over the floor of the chamber and vanish.

<if it matters for mechanics, (i.e. abilities, feats, features) this is just fluff around dimension door>

Anyone doing anything here or moving on? There's really nothing in this room.  A medicine check reveals the dried flecks on the pumice stones are blood. It's old.
