Let the adventure begin!
We start our adventure in a quaint tavern named The Scratchy Goat inside the bustling city of Neverwinter. It's not the most luxurious, but it suits your needs well enough. You have been resting for a couple of weeks after your first job for the Golden Vault. Introduce yourselves, and tell me where you are in the tavern and what you are doing.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
An Elf gentleman wearing a black top hat, and a fine dark gray double button business suit with a black butterfly tie walks into the tavern. He walks with a slight limp in his right leg, and he uses an umbrella for a cane to assist him. He slowly makes his way to the bar, and as he does so, he slowly scans the room studying every single person in the establishment.

(Mycroft Holmes checks the mood of the people in the room. Is there anyone here that may have any ill intent on his person.)

If someone approaches the gentleman, they will notice that his skin is fairly pale, but not due to illness. He has piercing blue eyes that is always looking at something, always studying his environment. He gets the attention of the bartender. "Whiskey. Neat, please. Thank you."

While not the most upstanding individuals frequent this tavern/inn, no one harbors any ill will towards you. However, there are a few glances sent your way, seemingly sizing you up. The bartender comes back and hands you your drink. “Whiskey, neat. That’ll be 2 copper,” He says. The bartender is a half-orc man who seems to be of little words.
Mycroft notices a man sitting at the far end of the bar bowed over a clay cup of mead, which is probably spiced up with cinnamon judging by a smudge of brown powder on its rim. The man is large for a human, too large, with bushy red hair and thick hair on his arms, a chubby nose and too blueish a skin tone, clearly a Firbolg. His demeanor is pensive and he seems completely oblivious to what happens around him.

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
It had been a long grueling day and Delia was simply in need of some R&R and was looking forward to just having a nice glass of wine while possibly meeting a friend or two at the Scratchy Goat tavern. People seemed to avoid her as she walked up the street towards the tavern. She was dressed in all black, wearing a long flowing dress with slits all the way up the side. Her long white hair was flowing in the breeze as she walked. Silent murmuring whispers were heard and she caught a few stares of those who didn't understand who or what she was, but she seemed unaffected by all of it. She walked up the tavern steps and opened the door, heading over to the far side of the bar, where a man sat, hunched over a clay cup of mead....probably with spiced cinnamon judging from the brown powder on the rim. She has a seat next to him and orders a glass of red wine. She is very prim and proper, sitting with her back straight. She takes a sip of her wine before looking over at the Firbolg and asking "Is that your first cup of mead or have you already gotten a few in you?" she asks, clearly knowing the man as a friend or acquaintance or something. She picks up her wine glass and gives it a slight swirl before taking another proper sip.
Joiner is also at the bar, barely being able to see past if it were not for the large encyclopedia on natural metals he was sitting on. His head is buried deep in two books and he has a quill in hand scribing in one of them. He has an Owl companion who has long brows shooting off its feathered face, and larger-than-live brown eyes who turn the pages of the other book. If you did decide to pay attention to him, most don't, you would notice short unkept hair sticking slightly up like a poof, dark brown skin, and a well-worn cobalt blue robe. He adorns a small bone white earring on his right ear, this accents well his ghostly greyish purple eyes.
Joiner sticks nestled between a well-dressed man with an umbrella and a woman clad in black. He mutters gleefully but does not seem to be talking to anyone. His little feet swing excitedly as if he is dancing to a little jaunt that no one else can hear.
Joiner looks up from his books with a smile and asked politely to the Half-Orc bartender. "May I have another milk, please?"
"yes sir" the bar tender replies, and goes to fetch you another glass of milk. As he leaves, the front door opens to reveal a elf wearing a white shirt with blue stripes, the universal symbol of a courier. He reads a package and yells " I have a package here for (checks package again) joiner, deli, mcroft, and cork." Mispronouncing all but corks name.
Delia takes a sip of her wine before looking over at the Firbolg and asking "Is that your first cup of mead or have you already gotten a few in you?" she asks, clearly knowing the man as a friend or acquaintance or something.
“Still the first, Delia, don’t worry,” Cork says with a slight smile. “I was just thinking that these small wonders are so readily available in big cities without breaking a sweat. And you can even try various interpretations and choose whichever you like best. A marvel of city life, truly. In my village that is unimaginable.”
When the door opens, he slowly turns on the mention of his name, but waits for Mr. Peepers, the industrious owl, to fetch it.

"Glad it's still your first" Delia states back and then gives a short laugh at his following comment "A wonder indeed" she states, taking another sip of her wine before looking up at the courier that mentioned, well kinda mentioned, her name "They never get my name right" she mutters with a soft singular laugh. She doesn't move as Mr Peepers was already headed in that direction, although she did wonder if the courier might get freaked out from the owl coming to fetch the package "I'm guessing that's our new assignment" she states to Cork and Joiner.

The Courier jumps a little bit at the owl flying towards him, but hands over the package. Mr. Peepers (Great name btw) returns to you with a small envelope about the size of a hand with a slight bulge in the middle.
Mr. Peepers dropped the letter in front of Joiner and waits expectingly. Joiner pulls a small treat from his pocket and feeds it to the Owl. He pats Mr. Peepers on the head and says. “Good job, Big P.”
Joiner hands the letter to cork, “Here you go Mr. Cork” and begins to clear up his books and pulls out a small notebook to write down what may be said from the recoding.
“You make me open it?”Asked Cork in resignation but takes the package and places it on the bar in front of him. Then, he opened his pack and brought out a small case, opened it and produced simplistic glasses which now adorn his face. He opens the package and places everything neatly in front of the group for everyone to see, if there is a letter he starts reading out loud but as private as possible. “Ahem, …” he begins…

Delia looks at the golden key that is produced with its note. She swirls her glass again before taking another sip of wine "Looks like we have an assignment" she states "We should probably take this into a back room" she tells them as she stands up "I've got the small ornate box right here in this pouch. I'll check with the barkeep if they have a private room we can use for a few minutes" she says before calling the barkeep over "Excuse me sir, but do you all have a private room we could use for a few minutes to have a short meeting?"she asks the barkeep.

Mycroft drops 4 coppers for the bartender (removed from inventory). He notices the Firbolg, and the female Changeling and he slowly walks towards the table. Once there, he does a short bowl to Delia. "My lady." Then he does the same to Cork, and Joiner. "Gentlemen." He looks at the golden key. "Looks like we are in for some adventure." He follows the group to the private room.
