”I was one of the guards for your shipment,” I say to Elmar. Wanting to boast, “we were attacked by goblins on the road. We chased them back to their cave lair where there was a bug bear. I single handedly took down the goblin hoard and bug bear boss.” I quick draw my wand and shoot sparks out of the tip before reholstering the wand. “Anyways, that’s were we found Sildar half dead. Sildar suggested we stop here before making our way out to Cragmaw Castle where the goblin took Gundren.”
Elmar looks somewhat shocked and awed by the tale of heroics. He then notices the AI emblem on the lapel of his cloak. "Well, guessin' that a big hero like yourself would come to such a quiet town like this. You'll be the talk of it for weeks to come. I'm guessin' that the payment of 10 gold looks like a pittance to you."
"Oh, of course." Elmar heads back to the inside and comes back out with 10 gold coins. "Guess doin' charity work for a big Waterdavian company does good for the soul, eh?"
The lady chuckles at Randaler's nervousness. "Of course not. Please..." She offers for him to sit beside her. "My name is Freda. What brings a pretty face into a quiet town like this?"
Toblen sighs with relief. "'Tis good to know there's good folk out there still." He says. He lowers his voice again. "Those ruffians have taken to claiming The Sleeping Giant. It's a taproom on the other side of town. I'd be wary though, they don't take kindly to out of town folk, or any folk for that matter."
Barthen's Provisions
It seems that Elmar was disheartened by the tale of Gundren being taken (the "shock" part of your tale). "Aye, it's good to see young heroes in town. I suppose you're looking to find a way to rescue ol' Gundren then. Nundro and Tharden, his brothers, are camped out of town somewhere. Been a tenday since they were here, but they'll probably be back any day now." He smiles, pointing with this thumb over his shoulder at his shop. "Can't spend too long out in the wilds without some good traveller's provisions, after all."
“Sounds like you’re making a killing then here in town. I think we should keep the news of Gundren’s disappearance at a hush for the time being. That is until I can rescue him.”
Randaler sits next to Freda and looks at her with a sheepish face. "We were escorting a shipment into town, and were attacked by goblins. It took a little bit of doing, be we managed to get the better of them, and get the shipment here intact." He looks at here again and blushes all over again. "What's your story?" he ask.
"Oh me? Well, nothing as fancy as the adventuring types like you." Freda says, opening the basket, which seems to have more materials. "I just live here, doing my own work. Currently weaving baskets for use before harvest."
Barthen's Provisions
"Well I don't do too bad." Elmar says with a hint of pride. "Not all days are as profitable, but we get by from people needing things for the grand outdoors. If you need to get any provisions before heading out, you know where to find me." He chuckles. He then looks to the crates with the blue lion emblem on them. "Still, I guess the others left you with the heavy lifting here. You might want to speak to Linene Graywind, she runs the local branch and might send a cart to collect them from here."
Elmar points down the trail. "Just head towards the square. Should be across from you, got a trade sign with the blue lion painted on it. Lionshield Coster's what it's called."
I let loose one last dove before the owing my cape over me and heading out.
After finding the place (I assume I have no issues) I open the door like I own the place. “I’m looking for Greywind. I’m Chadwick Gloomblast and I think I have just the thing she needs.”
Sildar looks to the dwarf beside him. "That's mightily kind of you, master dwarf." He replies, accepting Realgâr's offer. "I'll have to head out after this drink though. I'll need to scrape together some money to work off of, and hopefully repay my debt to you and your group. Once I've had a chat with the townmaster, I should be able to assist more. I didn't think Gundren would be in this much trouble all over opening up an old mine."
Realgâr purchases Sildar and himself an ale (cost?)
After hearing what he has to say, Realgâr says to him, "Here take this."He takes out the 10g he received from Elmar. "I got it from deliverin' those supplies. Don't worry about payin' me for gettin' you outta there. If the others want a payment then feel free to take it out of that or do what you will with it. I was just happy to help, and to thin out the goblins numbers a bit."
He puts the coin pouch in front of him on the bar.
"The townsmaster you say? Shall we accompany you there? We could use more information about this mine and why Gundren opened it up. Think he may know more?"

Sildar pushes the money back to in front of Realgâr. "That money was well earned. Don't bother trying to give it to this old sellsword. And don't worry, I should be able to get to the townmaster without incident. I suggest having a well earned rest for now." Sildar downs the rest of his drink. "I'll speak with you again once I have affairs in order."
Sildar hesitantly accepts the brandy (5 sp for the bottle) before he takes his leave, headed out the way the group came in.

Looking around the common room of the tavern, there's six other individuals enjoying a refreshing drink this afternoon. There are:
A surly old looking farmer, nursing his tankard
A younger looking man, having a chat with
A beautiful barmaid
A middle aged woman whittling some wood near the side of the bar
A young boy sitting with the woman, chatting to her
A younger woman, taking small sips of her drink, and occasionally fidgeting with her hamper next to her.

Lionshead Coster
Chad makes his way across the square. Ahead he can see a modest trading post. Hanging above the front door is a sign shaped like a shield with a blue lion painted on it. As he enters and proclaims his intent, a human woman in her mid-thirties looks up at Chad, not looking impressed. "And what's so important, Mister Gloomblast?" She says, seemingly less impressed by his bravado than Elmar was.

(It's 2cp a pint, so 4 total.)
