Randaler follows along with the group to the wagon and the boxes of ore. Along the way, he begins looking around the town taking note of anything that might be signs of the Redbrands and their harrassing of the townsfolk.
Heading over as a group, the party heads with Linene to Barthen's Provisions. Elmar is just getting his lackeys to take the cart around the back. He gives a nod to Linene. "Miss Graywind." He says,
"Mister Barthen." Linene replies, giving him a nod back. She then looks to the boxes piled up outside. "Guessing it was these fellers who dropped them off."
Barthen nods. "Yup, that one there." He points to Chad. "One of those Acquisition adventurers."
"Oh, I see..." Linene says. She turns to the others. "Well once I've gone over these and made sure they're safely in our stockroom for smelting, there'll be a reward for you all. I reckon fifty gold should be pretty rewarding for bringing these here."

I turn and correct Elmar. “That’s Aquisitions Incorporated, good sir. Of Baldur’s Gate.”
”50 gold seems a little on the light side. I mean we nearly died. Plus you don’t want our professional relationship to start off rocky.” Looking at Linene. “And, uh, that’s Miss Greywind....?”
"Fifty gold is a princely sum for a courier job." Linene replies to Chad. "No doubt you've already scraped the bottom of Elmar's pockets here, too."
"Well, not scraped." Elmar says in the party's defence. "I paid them standard rates, 10 gold a head."
"See? You've already had pay. Think of this as something to add to the side in your coffers." Linene replies to Chad. "If I want to turn any sort of profit that's the ceiling value. I may even give you a slight discount at the Lionshield Coster."
OOC: Realgâr would like to use his persuasion roll from earlier on page 22 in this situation to barter for a better price. It was a roll of 23.
"If you are able give us a little more, then we'll be sure to spread the word that Lionshield Coster is an establishment that truly values their customers. This would net you more return customers, and more profits in the long run as a result. Our group is travelin' far and wide, so our word can reach people in other towns who may be passin' through. We have proved our reliability—I believe. Is that a fair trade for a little more gold?"
Realgâr says, "A wise investment. Thank you. While we're waitin' for the wagon, Randaler here heard about group called the Redbrands who are harassin' the townsfolk from someone at the inn. Do you happen to know more about 'em?"

I take off my cloak and help load the supplies. I’ll try showing off my wizard muscles to Linene while doing so. Girl in every port, just like my sailor uncle used to say. And what a mighty fine port.... girl... not port. I shake my head to clear the thought.
Performance: 4
“So what are you selling over there at your place, Miss Greywind? This place seems busy. I’m sure you’re making a decent living here in these parts.”
"We sell various wares at the Lionshield Coster." Linene replies as the crates are loaded up. "Mostly arms and armaments, so maybe not something for a wizard to enjoy."
(Moving on)
The group finishes amassing the crates and heads back towards Lionshield Coster. After a few moments of inspecting the crates once they are unloaded, Linene turns to the group. "I'm somewhat impressed. Nothing is missing." She says to them. "I suppose this payment is well earned then." She goes to her shop's coffers and retrieves 60 gold, handing it over to the group. "Don't spend it all in one place, unless of course you're in need of some replacement weapons."
Randaler is happy to see the crates unloaded, and the sack of gold. He has never seen that much gold all at the same time before! His eyes are as big as saucers when seems the gleaming coins. He tries to to regain his composure, and hope no one notices his obvious awe at the loot... "I think I'm set for weapons for now." he idly mentions.
On the way back to Lionshield Coster Linene can explain that she too has had issues with the Redbrand Ruffians as well. She fortunately has weaponry to protect herself with so they haven't managed to get too far with her. She'd never deal or trade with a member of the Redbrand, or any of their sympathisers.
As for costs, for now weapons will be normal price as they are in the PHB. There is access to some base armour types as well (leather, chain shirt, scale armour, chainmail) also.
OOC: Realgâr sells the Morningstar acquired from the goblin cave to Linene. 10g is the sell price for a new one, but he'll take whatever deal Linene gives him for selling a used one since she has to resell it. He trades it in for a Warhammer @ 15g (minus any trade-in value, if there's any).
OOC2: (For other PC's) Realgâr wasn't apart of the conversation regarding the Redbrands in the Inn, so he has no knowledge of them other than Randaler mentioning them in passing, so that's why he's asking now. Feel free to fill him in in-character.
After the transaction, he says, "Would you happen to know where their base is located? I won't stand for 'em attackin' and harassin' the civilized people in town."
He pauses for a moment and says "I'm not sure if Chad mentioned this, but we're also headed to a place called the Wave Echo Cave. I'm not familiar with it, but would you know anyone who might? We're tryin' to track down a fellow dwarf named Gundren and our guide Sildar mentioned the place."
If there is no further business to learn from Linene, then Realgâr would probably head back to the Inn (if Chad and Randaler are headed there as well) to meet up with Sildar after his meeting with the townsmaster.
OOC: Possibly to meet with his retainers if they arrived and if the new PC is there.
At best (and some bartering) you can get 50% selling costs on the weapons you brought. (Reminder: You brought a dozen scimitars and shortbows as well). So, to calculate costs.
Sale: 1 morningstar (5 gp), 12 scimitars (150 gp), 12 shortbows (150 gp), totalling up to 305 GP
Buy: 1 warhammer (15 gold)
Subtotal: 290 gp
Since the party is negotiating together, this can be split up to about 48 gp each, with 2 gp change for petty cash.
OOC: Realgâr goes back to the Inn to wait on Sildar, and to see if his retainers have arrived, if Linene has no further information about the Redbrands' location or on the Wave Echo Cave.

Linene hasn't had too much trouble with the Redbrands, but doesn't sympathise with them. She knows they generally hand out at The Sleeping Giant, a taproom towards the east side of town.
Linene doesn't know about the Wave Echo Cave, but there is a miner's exchange just down the road
If you want to do something about the Redbrands, she'll offer to help out if she can.
OOC: Randaler found out about the Redbrands, so Realgâr will defer to him on what to do.
Either way, Realgâr would go back to the Inn to secure a room for the night. (Cost?) He would obviously perk up upon hearing about the miner's exchange, but would go wherever everyone else wants to go. Would there be enough time left in the day to check out either location before dark?
(Is there anyone new in the Inn? Personally, I'd also prefer to go to either the miner's exchange or The Sleeping Giant as a group)
