Waterdeep: Dragon Heist (KW Edition)

"Coming right up, Sinak!" Cat cries as she points her wand at the first object she sees - which just so happens to be an unattended and empty bucket - and casts a spell that sends it hurtling toward the drake at great speed!

(Casting catapult at the drake - it needs to succeed a DC 13 Dexterity save or take 19 bludgeoning damage.)

The Drake easily moves out of the way of the bucket, which crashes into the bar. It snarls back at Cat for using such a pitiful weapon against its might

Sinak circles around the drake, maintaining his distance to it, but circling around to the northern side of the creature, inviting someone else to flank it.  He continues to hack away with his short sword, but it is clear this is more sword play that he’s used to.  

Short sword : Attack: 14 Damage: 3 

Sinak has been doing well to solo the drake for this long. But he just barely dodges the bucket as it flies through the air. This puts off his aim and his sword bounces off the Drakes scales.

Stirges are up.

Two Stirges are in a bucket and 4 Stirges are asleep.

Stirge G is angry, he is the one Stirge swarm, the flying death and he will bathe in blood.

Stirge G attacks Eilla again.

To Hit: 24 (again!) Damage: 6

The Stirge goes back to the exposed leg and latches on, hungry to taste the sweet, sweet blood once more.

As Ballen calls out "I'm sure you can do better than that!" Kelytha calls back "You're damn right I can! Eilla, stop moving!"

She cranks back the string again, and takes sight at Stirge G with another bolt, bolstered by Ballen's inspiration.

Crossbow: 18

Damage: 10

Kelytha fire’s her shot, it looks like it will miss, but Eilla raises her leg at the last moment and Stirge G, the flying death, is hit and explodes. Eilla is now covered in the blood of the thousands of victims of The One Stirge Swarm, the party can feel satisfied that they have truly ended the scourge of a monster.

Ambush Drake is up.

The wash of blood that was Stirge G only wets the appetite of the Ambush Drake as it takes another bite at Sinak

To Hit: 19

Damage: 6

The Drake manages to sneak past Sinak’s shield and take an almighty bite out of his arm. Sinak is now clearly looking in a bad way.

Strange Drow is up,

The Drow looks slightly concerned at the Troll. He goes full on with an attack with his remaining sword.

Attack 1: To Hit 22 Damage 8

Attack 2: To Hit 16 Damage 10

The Drow manages to clearly cut the troll in half, but almost immediately the two halves start to join back together. 

End of Turn

Troll is up,

Troll Heals 10

The newly healed Troll pulls itself back together and attacks the strange Drow once more

Bite Attack: To Hit 20 Damage 8

Claw 1: To Hit 11 miss

Claw 2: To Hit 12 miss

It manages to get a good bite out of their weaponless arm, but its claw attacks miss completely.

Ballen is up.

Kelytha pumps her fist. "Yes! Take that, bloodsucker!" She takes in the state of Eilla, now covered in blood. "Uh, sorry... Soap and cold water should get that out, it takes a bit of elbow grease though."

"No no, nice shot!", Eilla, covered in half-digested blood, says, giving Kelytha a thumbs up.

“Oi, great job! However, there’s still a troll here! And what about the ones in the bloody bucket? They’re still alive.”

 For awareness there currently are:

-2 Stirges in a bucket, they currently cannot escape

-4 asleep Stirges

-1 Troll attacking a Strange Drow

-1 Ambush Drake attacking Sinak

Ballen would like to get the attention of Eilla and Kelytha and point to the bucket she is sitting on. "Think you two can get a good shot at the ones in my bucket?" Ballen would then lift the bucket just enough for them to attack the stirges under the bucket without letting them out hopefully. If she can ready her own dagger to take a stab too she will.
