REVISED - I definitely want to play Jade if I'm picked. Especially if I get the chance to play her alongside Heyredd's character, Eila Forthall (they have a shared history through a previous campaign, Jade was an NPC from my character's backstory). I am removing Nave from consideration.
Jade Tanthalos, Half-Elven Paladin, Lawful Good or Neutral Good
Why is your PC joining the campaign?
Since the death of her childhood friend, Jade has sworn an oath to finish what Kitiara started. That includes aiding and protecting Eila Forthall on her quest.
Time zone (DM is EST) - EST, but I work 3rd shift, so I typically sleep 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Reason for playing D&D - I love the social and collaborative aspects of D&D. I especially like creating characters and growing them as people through role-playing interactions. I like playing online because it gives me a chance to get to know people from a much broader community (grew up near cities but now live very rural). I like play by post because I'm a much stronger writer than I am an actor.

Why is your PC joining the campaign? In a large library there's got to be blueprints, diagrams, instructions, engineering specs. Everything an artificer could hope for.
Why is your PC joining the campaign? (background) Ssej's name means silent death and he has used his monk training to become just that. He has no idea where he came from or anything really of his past except that he grew up in the order. He has always been brutal in the dealings with his enemies and has been well known for taking bites out of his conquests in his bloodlust. Over the past year he has been having dreams of Dragons as they speak to him and slowly over time he turns into one himself. After talking about his dreams with the head of his order has been sent out into the world to possibly discover what his dreams mean.

Reason for playing D&D: I have been enjoying playing DnD since the red box and love me some fantasy not to mention all the hijinks my players typically get into, sometimes on purpose, most times not by design.
Why is your PC joining the campaign? Bjorn has really been plodding along in life with no real goal. He trained as a druid early in life yet was unsatisfied with tending the shoals. He's spent the last few years working as a transient member on sailing ships, but even that has become tedious. He eventually ended up in Candlekeep after paying off his debts and now is looking for a new crew to join.
Time Zone: PST
Reason for Playing D&D: Getting together with others, sharing ideas.
Why is your PC joining the campaign? Her people are very shy of the outside world and are nomads. They never stay very long in any place, always looking to move on before anyone gets to know them very well. Agnolia is destined to be the clans world seer, as her father was before her. The world seers job is to tell the clan when and where to roam based on the signs in nature. But the final test was to venture out into the world and survive and if nature approved of her, she would be led back to the clan and become the next seer. Her brother never showed any talent in reading nature and her sister never had the courage to face this final test. So she got the opportunity, the problem was she was happy for the opportunity to leave more the the opportunity to return to prove herself.

Reason for playing D&D: Love creating characters and bringing them to life, exploring the unknown worlds, and seeing who the dice gods have bless at each roll!
Class: Cleric (Twilight domain, adherent of both Ilmater and Kelemvor)
Alignment: Lawful good
Why is your PC joining the campaign? This is a character from a campaign I've run earlier, so she's quite well developed. Eila was an Ilmateri Cleric in a team of adventurers whom she loved dearly, but she was the sole survivor when one of their missions went very wrong. She is self-sacrificial to a fault, and being the only one to live, failing to do her duty as a cleric weighs very heavily on her still. In the time since, she has turned to Kelemvor for solace, crusading against evil as befitting both faiths, and has set out for Candlekeep knowing it may hold heretical knowledge of necromancy, which she is duty-bound by Kelemvor to destroy. Don't be fooled though, she's not a dark spooky loner type, more that one friend who'll work themselves to the bone to look after everyone.
Time Zone: GMT
Reason for playing D&D: I love coming up with stories alongside other people and seeing all the creative things they can come up with, especially when the dice decide today is not their day! Your mention of having little homebrew tweaks in there definitely has me interested, I like it when DMs get to flex their creativity too. I'm also a friend of Groverbloom up there; my character is the only survivor of a campaign we played together and I really want to be able to play alonside them again.
It was a strange night 52 years ago. Neither stars nor moon was visible because of heavy clouds and thunders echoed in the valleys lighted up with so many lightnings even a human could have read with ease. That night I was born. Many, including my parents, took this as an omen, and you must know, dwarves take such matters quite seriously, therefore as soon as I was old enough, I was brought to the Muamman Duathal's priest, Morrin Stormcloud who took me with him so I could eventually become one too. He was quite old that time and he knew he will need someone to take his place. I wasn't the best student. I wasn't a good one either. Many times the priest tired to convince me to act a bit more like him, but I hardly ever listened. To makes matters worse, I had no problems with any of the trials and always have felt His presence. We have wandered for many years and I always liked this kind of life. Helping those who are lost, those who need us, no matter the race. I have learned a lot and managed to visit my family back home a few times. To a surprise of few. I wasn't a little sister any more. A few years ago, when we were in my home city, the priest brought me to the very cave, I was born in. There, he presented me with an amulet he made for me and in front of my whole family I was ordained a full priest. For some time we stayed with my family, but I knew it is the high time for me to move out and been traveling ever since. I know nothing about the campaign so - sorry, this is the best I can do for now.

Reason for playing D&D I love character stories and how they develop over time with the influence of the story and other players.
Martha was a successful entrepreneur who built an empire teaching others cooking and simple home improvements they could make in their burrows. Now she travels the land baking pies and other treats to warm the hearts of adventurers everywhere, or to scald the tongues of her foes.

Reason for playing D&D I like creative problem solving and seeing my character’s actions influence the story.
Millicent was always a studious girl with her nose stuck in a book, one day she stuck her nose in the wrong book......and now apparently she's married to the lady that lives in it. She's headed to Candlekeep to try and do some research on what exactly has happened to her.
Time zone: AEST
Reason for playing D&D Its fun and it lets one stretch the old acting and make-believe muscles.
