Joorin stumbles into the Sage’s Quill a few moments later having gotten lost along the way and inadvertently entering the wrong building. He is a bit more loud and boisterous than usual as he suggests that the crew rejoin his new friend Dr. Stonecrusher at the Fuzzy Fly “after we save the world or whatever”
As Parr peers into the now vacant Gemstone Wing, it appears empty. It is well lit by continuous flame spells cast on wall sconces. The room is still set up and decorated for the gala. Evidently the cleanup and return to the room’s normal configuration will happen at some later time before the museum reopens tomorrow. There, only a few feet away, lies the eldritch egg, aka the Murkmire Stone.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Remembering someone saying....was that Luci or Joorin?....that there were extra protections on the egg she considered her next move.....if it was a physical protection it was likely weight based...which meant she'd have to replace the egg with something of similar weight fairly quickly.....if it was magical......well, she couldn't do jack about magical stuff so best hope the pass card did its job there....
She looked about in the storage cupboard for a bucket of water or something in the room outside that was of a similar size to the Murkmire Stone....
Perception: 6
Investigation: 18
( Is she able to estimate the weight of the Stone.)
"Joorin! There you are!" Dubh says with some obvious relief as they walk in. "Are you with Parr Ker? Did you see them? We were, some of us, were concerned for the two of you..." Upon realizing that Joorin is intoxicated, seemingly?, Dubh rubs his hands over his temples and sighs.
"Well, we still have one missing in action... What's the plan?" Dubh asks, turning to Lucifer.
Parr notices a mop and bucket full of dirty water. There is a small drain hole in the corner of the room where she is able to pour out some of the grey putrid liquid in an attempt to match the weight of the Murkmire Stone. Having only seen, and not touched the egg, she takes her best guess at estimating the correct weight.
Windarë glances over at the clock as well. "Whether Ms. Ker is here or not, we need a plan. Time is running out. We should decide so we can go once she's back. I say we should all make for the secret door to get in the gem room. But maybe have someone small at the air vent in case we need an alternative path." She then glances over to Dubh, "Snatching other items is not a bad idea. Do we have any idea of which gems are truly valuable? If they are well known they might be something we can fence right away. But it would draw suspicion away from this being specifically about the Murkmire Stone."
As the clock continues to move forward, she sips at her wine. "I can try to Detect Magic to see if the secret door is affected by the wards around the stone. We should have looked at that while we were in there," she says, a bit disappointed at herself. Taking another sip of wine, she then adds, "Luci, how long are we waiting? If Ms. Ker has been caught, waiting gives us no advantage."
Joorin looks up at Dubh, eyes slightly out of focus...concentrating. "Parr? No...no Parr...just me and Stoney. He's the best. Hey! We should get him on the crew! Dwarves are like good with stone doors and stuff right? We need a dwarf!"
Joorin appears to be about 8 sheets into the wind...never try to out drink a dwarf.

“Yes. Maybe next job though, eh Joorin?” Dubh says trying to humor him.
“I actually think Lucifer there is right,” Dubh says as he sits down and looks to Windarë. “Best not to move on the stone until we know what’s up with Parr. If they were caught we could be walking in to not only all the museum guards but perhaps the city’s as well…”
“In fact waiting here could be hazardous if they’ve started singing.”
Taking a sip of whatever drink was sitting on the table when he sat down, Dubh looks about at the others. “She did mention..,” he starts but then shakes the thought out of his head.
“No… no, she wouldn’t have…” he adds a moment later.
“Would she of?” The seat let’s put a squeech of complaint as Dubh suddenly stands up at rigid attention. “I bet she did!”
“Shit!” Dubh curses even as he starts running for the door. “C’mon! I think she his inside the museum alone!” And with that Dubh is off at top speed for the secret entrance to the museum, not pausing to see if any follow.
Luci watches in confusion as the tiefling suddenly gets up and leaves the Sage's Quill but after a moment he gets up and walks over to the tavern door, calling out after Dubh. "Wait up would you, we're coming but we'd better stay together now don't you think?"
((Dubh perhaps slows a bit but he doesn’t stop. One of their team is likely on the museum alone and he doesn’t see that ending well so he figures time is precious…))
Joorin, sensing the air of urgency also heads to the door. "We're going now? Alright then. Let's get a move on I guess. Finally get to see this secret entrance."
He hurries out after Dubh...although hurrying for a drunken halfling is not the quickest pace in the realms.

"It seems we are in a hurry Ms. Treynori."Luci turns and says with a shrug to the scholarly half-elf. "Chop chop!" He adds and starts following Dubh, hoping to not lose him. Assuming the tiefling at least waits up as he reaches the secret entrance to the tunnel Luci comes up by his side, panting. "Would you mind terribly explaining why you think Parr is still at the museum and why we are suddenly in a hurry?"
Dubh slows do the other can catch up but keeps pushing the pace, worried for his teammate. “She floated the idea of slipping into the vent during the party,” he explains while still jogging. “I told her to run the plan by you and then she never brought it up again. I’d assumed she thought better of it or you vetoed it…”
“You don’t suppose she cut us out so she could sell it to someone else, do you?”
Dubh continues to encourage speed until they are within a couple blocks of the secret entrance, there discretion will need take priority.
"We certainly didn't talk about her going into any vents." Luci says, still following the tiefling as the crew heads towards the secret entrance to the tunnel. "Honestly I don't know what to think about Ms.Ker, but our bird burglar going missing already is a terrible start."He says, shaking his head in exasparation. "She did mention you finding some key cards that will help us bypass the alarms though, good work. Do you think we need one each or will it be enough with you carrying one?"
“If we need one each, we’re screwed. She has one and I’ve just two left,” Dubh states and then passes one of the two to Luci.
“I also got these, you can look once we’re in the basement,” he says handing over the files he got from the records room. These are: an invoice for spellcasting services from the Temple of Oghma. It would seem that the museum paid 200gp for 10 Alarm spells. Attached to the invoice is a sketch of the museum indicating all 10 locations (I believe Windarë has already located them all, now Dubh would also know all the locations). Notes on the invoice indicate that all the Alarm spells were cast with the following exceptions: 1) no creature will trigger the alarm between 6am to 8pm, 2) no creature carrying a ‘passcard’ will trigger the alarm at any time.

Windarë recalls the common dictionary definition of wrangling: to round up, herd, or take charge of…
She deduces that the museum must have had some sort of pigeon infestation that the curator paid a pigeon wrangler to remedy.

(Parr Ker has one of the passcards and I think Dubh still has the other two. If not, please let me know before you arrive to the museum interior.)
(That’s my understanding)
