Progo will start down the the southeast path, hugging the western side of the cave wall. He is back to trying to sneak and look for traps and watching the ceiling for creatures and out of place objects.
If you begin to enter the hall you can see the rooms beyond. Not much different from the previous room. But in one corner there is a 10 foot by 10 foot by 10 foot cage. In the cage you can see a small creature hunched in the center of it. It has a water bucket, some food and it has a loose fitting shackles around its waist, wrists, neck, and feet. The chains are loose enough that it can move freely within the cage.
Progo motions to the group to go back down the hallway. After they all go back a ways he asks in a whisper, "Caged Kobold in the neck opening, shall Progo dispatch it? Progo no like potential noise making kobold. Its chained but well supplied with water and food, so its cared for. Progo can eliminate callout potential of it." He holds up his rapier.
"Progo not sure if little creature can communicate with us, but pretty sure it can communicate with the other creatures in here. Though Progo suppose the cave-in Progo set off would have alerted more then one in a cage." He just shrugs. "It's a cared for prisoner, very strange."
The kobold is clearly startled to see non-kobolds in the cave and talking to it. It regards you with hesitation and moves away from you a little within its cage. But otherwise, doesn’t respond.
Savitri moves up next to Progo, " Lets head towards the sound and see whats what."
Fred nods in agreement

You recognise this as a kobold
It is not aware of your presence yet.

“That kobold is unlikely to be friendly to whoever imprisoned it. Maybe if we free it, it can help us either in battle or at least with information.”
Thalron strokes his beard. “Or maybe we just kill it. I have no love for the vermin.”

Savitri ponders, " We need information about the large creature. Do you think it shares a language with any of us?"
"Progo not sure if little creature can communicate with us, but pretty sure it can communicate with the other creatures in here. Though Progo suppose the cave-in Progo set off would have alerted more then one in a cage." He just shrugs. "It's a cared for prisoner, very strange."
Savitri shrugs and walks up to the caged kobold, " Do you want to get out of there?"
