“I know of your quest to slay a great monster and will gladly grant you passage through here. But first you must show yourselves worthy; for only the cleverest can traverse what lies beyond. I present you with two riddles”
He leans forward impishly. “The first,” he says (and you can almost hear the hint of a smile) “is this:”
"At my heels you nip in this game we play.
But cursed is the maze, and lost am I.
So who's chasing whom? Oh, Who's to say?
The front is the back. Hello, goodbye"
Catch me if you can!”
And with that, the passage to his right opens up and he scampers down the hall.
Progo starts to get ready to follow before standing straight. "Progo thinks it said this is a riddle, not a chase. 'The front is the back'.... Do we walk backwards? "
Progo slumps his shoulders and starts going backwards back down hall. "Remind Progo next time he's about to get chased to say it's a riddle before running away, beautiful tactic." Clearly Progo thinks it's wrong not chase the armor as well. "This will either work like a charm or we will never see the armor again."
(I’ll simplify things for clarity’s sake and tell you that that was the solution)
You go back the way you came. Once you do so you bump into something. You turn around and are in a room you’ve not seen before. The first thing you notice before you is a table, the second is that it’s filled with items.
The suit of armour stands at the opposite side of the 30x30 room in front of a large elaborate door on the other side of the table from you.
“My, my” he says impressed. “You all are quite clever. Much more so than the others who came be fore you. Before you lies the second riddle: can you find the missing piece to my collection?”
He gestures to 3 shelves above the door. Once he does this he steps through the door and you hear it lock as it shuts behind him.
The first two shelves each have two small statues, and the third one has only one statue.
Shelf 1 Statues: A statue of a man with a crown; next to it a statue of a bag of coins.
Shelf 2 Statues: A statue of a woman with a crown; next to it a statue of a jar of honey.
Shelf 3 Statue: A statue of a common woman wearing an apron and an empty space for a second statue.
The large table is covered with many small statues, including a cake, a pie, a spinning wheel, a basket of laundry, a plate with a steak, a toy soldier, a sword, and twenty-four sculptures of crows.
Progo visibly startled by the change in rooms behind them, confirming his suspicions that he would not know the way back. "Progo need to focus on going forward, and right now that's through riddle. Progo sees king with his money, queen with her honey, and peasant with ..uh laundry? Full belly? Maybe king has solid gold, queen liquid gold, she needs something worth more then gold? Progos riddle days may be done..."

Hello, my name is kon I was one of the players who played in the last game but unfortunately a bunch of people stopped posting (not me tho). We went through a kobold encounter, the leader was about to make an important skill check, then decided to stop posting altogether...lol
WesTheRocketMan invited me to tag along with this one...so here I am!

We will just retcon you as the other adventurer that they had just run into. The other person never responded so you get their spot.
Once he does this he steps through the door and you hear it lock as it shuts behind him.
"Um. I beg your pardon--,"
As the door closed shut, a lady's voice called out in response from the opposite corner of where the statues were. Her voice sounded happy by nature, but it was more obvious that she sounded very quiet and tired.
"--but could I trouble you fine gentlemen for a bit of assistance?"
The voice's source was from the middle of the wall. A pair of lips had been placed there by magic, and when it finished its pre-recorded message, it dissolved into pink butterflies that faded away.
This caused the corner of the room to stir and reveal that someone had buried themselves in the corner. A human's hand burst out weakly from the loose soil, followed by a weak cry.
"Sir Tristan...did Sir Tristan send you? Ah..please help."
This was the same voice as before, the tone was unmistakable. But it sounded a lot even more tired and malnourished than before.
As Fred pulls her out from the dirt, he finds her to be unmistakenly human. After all, who else would wear such long, graceful sleeves that belonged to a formal party and not at all practical for adventure? But for a moment he would catch that her clothes seemed to briefly shine with magic so there was more to her than meets the eye. After all, how did she manage to survive when the corpse they found earlier didn't?
"Mara. Mara Ito--," she began to introduce herself, only to cut herself short. "And who might I have the pleasure?"
"My name is Fred. And we are... We are..." He turns to the group, "Have we picked a group name yet?" Turning back to Mara "We are a work in progress. How did you get yourself in this situation?"
Fred says "That's not good?"
(Is there a way past it or around it?)

It is blocking the path forward.
As it hears you whisper, it animates and speaks, “Welcome adventures. I was wondering how much longer I would be waiting for you.”
“I know of your quest to slay a great monster and will gladly grant you passage through here. But first you must show yourselves worthy; for only the cleverest can traverse what lies beyond. I present you with two riddles”

Catch me if you can!”
And with that, the passage to his right opens up and he scampers down the hall.
Fred hears 'catch me' and thinks all I have to do is catch him. He suggests "I can turn into a Lion (50' speed) that should be able to catch him"

(Would you be able to see him? Or walls)
Progo starts to get ready to follow before standing straight. "Progo thinks it said this is a riddle, not a chase. 'The front is the back'.... Do we walk backwards? "
Fred, looking disappointed at not chasing something in cat form, but says "Progo, you are probably right."

You are facing the other direction while walking backwards?
(Staring the direction the armor was before it ran, but stepping backwards, going towards where we came from)
