"Yes, I understand who you work for, it was more in what capacity. What exactly do you do?", Corlith clarifies to Fisk. "Other than infiltrate cults that is".
"It seems we will be on the road for five days", Corlith feeds back to the others when they all regroup on the other side of the bridges. "Hopefully it will be uneventful but we should be wary regardless", he suggests.
At this point he spots that Roo has picked up some passengers, whom he regards for a moment before turning his eyes back to the road.
"Oh! I get what you mean now, well.. anything the lady asks for really. She is always on the lookout for things about the Outer Planes, and well there were rumblings about these cults and devils and such... so that's why I was trying to get more information. Kind of failed on that, but thanks to you all, I'm not rotting away in that jailcell. I bet the Duke never would have let me out honestly. I do hope that sour woman was finally released, no one should be left to die in a cell."
As Roo joins back up with his new entourage, Reya can't help but ask, "So how long will your friends be joining us? That rooster's plummage is quite stunning."
As Wyrm’s Crossing and Baldur’s Gate disappear from view, you find yourselves enjoying the midafternoon sun heading down the Coast Way, a dirt road that leads to such distant lands as Tethyr and Amn. Candlekeep lies some one hundred and fifty miles south and west — a five-day journey.
Coming up the road toward you is a stout looking human farmer riding on the front of a hay-filled wagon pulled by two draft horses. The farmer gives you a friendly wave as the wagon draws near.
Virro smiles a big, crooked smile and sits upright on his horse Bella and waves at the farmer, his mind wandering to images of life on a farm, growing vegetebles, tending to livestock, waking up early, milking cows….all of these things that he’s read about. His smile straightens out and turns slightly down into a frown, he puts his hand back down on the reins. “Screw that.” He says to himself, looking ahead toward Candlekeep. He half giggles, looks down at his left arm and says under his breath, “You be quiet.”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
On the way out, Archie tethers her horse to Reya's and jumps up on it alone, attempting to try this horse riding business again. After a while it becomes apparent that Archie is not interested in horse riding and tries to distract herself by sorting through a bag of cogs and using a small lever that she has bought as some kind of fidget toy, "I asked the shop keep about finding a source of energy for this suit but she got real uncomfortable and basically told me to leave... Hey Fisk! you reckon that your lady knows of some kind of mobile energy source that could be used to power non clockwork mechanical systems?"
Corlith half-heartedly holds up a hand in greeting to the wagon rider as he veers his horse out the way to allow plenty of room to pass. He idly surveys the wagon and rider looking for any sign that they have come across any trouble on their journey as he asks, "How is the road ahead?". His main worry is being followed, but it didn't hurt to be cautious.
Reed hums along to himself as they ride, discovering that riding a pony is incredibly uncomfortable.
He eyes the approaching farmer with a mix of interest and appraisal. If they appear to really be a farmer he losses some interest, though it does make him think if Wilfred for a moment. Even though the big man isn't a farmer, he still reminds Reed of one.
Any sign of armor, weapons, or someone hiding in the hay, makes Reed alert for trouble.
"Buck buh..." Roo says, looking at his two new friends and bobbing his head up and down while trying to answer Reya. "They don't talk much, hm? Oh! I don't know. They're free now to make their own way. I guess until they do that?"
When everyone starts to talk to the farmer, he sits up, taking notice of the way the man is dressed, the way he handles the horses, the way he draws a wagon full of hay. It's obvious that, in his demented little Gallus brain, something is happening. He is having...a realization.
"Tell me, farmer." He says, that last word spit out like a mouthful of venom. "What is it you farm. What is it that you have in your barns and coops? What is it you put on the dinner table for you and yours?"
Fisk's eyes glaze over as Archie starts asking him about a mobile energy source "Um.. well, my lady is one of the best mages in Candlekeep. I'm sure if she doesn't have one, she'll be able to give you some information." He then looks away towards the newcomer, grateful for an excuse to not continue that conversation.
The man first raises an eyebrow to the giggling wood elf and is about to ask him what's so funny when Corlith asks about the road ahead. "Ah, well, pretty calm so far. But see... I'm looking for something, and I was hoping you lot might know of it."
Before he has a chance to continue on, Roo interrupts asking about what he farms. "What do I farm?? Why um.. lots of things. Food, you know, we grow food at my farm, like most do."
“Hmm, well, that’s all nice and dandy. Well, be seein’ you, good luck with your travels! Let’s be on now, you lazeabouts..”. Virro urges his horse onward, waving goodbye to the man.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
The man seems almost annoyed by Roo's insistence about what he farms and in an offhanded sort of answer, he responds, "I like both kinds of course."
He then moves his draft horses to block Virro and Bella, "I'm sorry, but I must insist, you have something that I need. Once you hand it over, I will be happy to let you all pass. It's the item on your left arm, I'm sure it's quite a burden, I will help relieve you of it."
Roo doesn't wait. His feathers bristol as soon as the 'farmer' says "I like both kinds of course" or whatever ridiculous nonsense he has blathered, and then he tries to block the road.
"You beastly cluck!" Roo says, leaping from the back of his horse while drawing his sword. Owl's Talon 'shimmers' with darkness as it drinks up all the light around it, and Roo's eyes darken as he brings the sword down on the 'farmer', dropping a solid hit of booming energy on him. "I'll teach you to eat only your furred slaves and not to pull any bullshit on my friends! Have at you you featherless cluck! You cur! Swine! Dog! BAGOPBUH!"
Turn Summary
Move: Jumped over to Farmer John
Bonus Action: Hexblades Curse on Farmer John
Action- Booming Blade: 23 to hit, 7+2 (from Hexblades Curse) = 9 damage+ 6 additional damage if he moves more than 5 feet on his own
Archie immediately doesn't like where this is going and tries to deepen her voice a little as she shouts over at the man "hey heyyyyyyyyy woah, something you need? Man if you're trying to rob us then say so" she pulls out her light hammer and lets a flame grow in her palm, running up the shaft of the weapon a little, "unless of course you're offering to buy it, but that would be dependent on his decision to sell or not. Otherwise back the hell off."
She gives an appreciative nod to Roo as he drops on the guy and begins a poultry assault.
Corlith is suspicious of the farmer as soon as he mentions that he is looking for something that they can help with. His demeanour becomes more cautious, assuming now that this might not be a mere chance encounter between travellers on the road, a fact that becomes fully evident as the man blocks Virro's path and demands the shield.
Even so, he is a little taken back by Roo's attack. Such ferocity immediately on display even though Roo doesn't seem to have picked up on what is happening. He only hopes that the farmers purpose is a sinister one, because if it isn't...
The farmer smiles at Roo's outburst, suddenly the rooster has become interesting for Farmer Joe. Even though his attention is now focused on the aarokocra, the farmer still wasn't prepared for the oncoming attack takes the damage fully in the side... though it didn't strike flesh where Roo would have suspected, the farmer looking as burly as he does, it takes a split second later before contact is actually made.
The illusion of the farmer fades away the next instant, and shouts something in infernal at the same time the cambien spreads his wings and takes to the air (receiving that extra 6 thunder damage as he does.) "The Shield sir! I require it!" he states in common as he glares down at Virro.
At the infernal command, three men stand up within the hay of the wagon, obviously ready for a fight.
Now in the air, the cambien attacks with a fire ray towards Roo. Hitting the avian squarely in the chest, but Fog'Horn's armor helps and he only receives 4 fire damage. His next fire ray he sends down to Virro, but it just misses.
Archie is unimpressed by the guy taking to the sky and focusses attention on the three guys in a hay pile.
Three guys in a dry hay pile.

She steps out from behind Reya and shuffles forward to stand next to Corlith, smiling under her visor she targets the golden sheaves of flammability. Letting out a low and unhinged chuckle she launches a firebolt at it.
As Archie's fireball ignites the hay immediately, the three in the wagon attempt to dive out of the way and out of the wagon. Man A succeeds and doesn't touch the flames, but unfortunately, the other two get tangled up and receive the 9 fire damage each.
The horses, steady as usual, do not however enjoy having their wagon on fire and take off.
Seeing the farmer transform into some kind of devil with wings, and three other people appear from the now flaming hay, Corlith reaches out a hand and calls out "Freeze!" in infernal. The two closest men suddenly find themselves battling against the urge to do just that.
He then backs away behind the others.
Action: Cast Hold Person using 2 sorcery points for twinned meta-magic on A and B - DC 16 Wis save or become paralyzed. Movement: 15 feet to behind Reya
Seeing the two men in front freeze from Corlith's comment, Fisk yells, "Good show!"and runs at the one with fire damage, dagger out and ready to use. His first jab would have missed, but due to the man's immovability, it goes in and does 5 damage. Grinning at the ease of this situtaion, he jabs again.. with another 5 damage.
Pleased with helping out the group even with their way of treating him so far, he then disengages and runs off towards the trees as that one in the air is making him quite uncomfortable.
Bandit A is able to unfreeze himself on his turn and looks around for the tiefling that did it.
Same for Bandit B.
Knowing her ranged attacks are almost worthless, Reya runs towards the bandits and off to the side, she attacks Bandit A. She swipes at the man twice with her longsword and with his new found motion he dodges them easily. She then attacks hard with her shortsword and connects on his flank, 8 damage.
