Reed puts his head against the door, listening for any sounds from the other side. He almost hits the door too hard with his head but manages to catch himself just before hand, and when he steadies himself, he spots a gap between the wall and the door that makes for a much better spot to listen for any noise.
"Definitely someone on the other side. A couple of someones at least," Reed says in a whisper. "If everyone's ready, I can push open the door to let you charge in."
Reed listens again for a second.
"There's metal clanging too but not like weapons."
IronMaiden appears from the other room after trying to usher the others along with them. "Perhaps they are actual prisoners? We should observe the situation before causing harm."
Reed reaches out and opens the door quietly, opening it enough that the sturdier members of the group and charge forward without needing to let go of weapons or shields. He slips quickly to the side of the door to make room and draws and nocks and arrow to his bow string at the same time.
Roo, who had previously been encouraging Reed to open the door with bobs of his head, looks somehow surprised as his friend pushes the door open. Not sure what else he should have expected, he gallops forward on Glory of Morning, his shield ready on one arm, Owl's Talon in the other hand and he gripped the saddle between his thighs.
"Have at you, you clucking scoundrels!" He screams as he charges into the room...
Readied Action: 10 to hit, 6 damage
Roo will attack anything that looks like a fiend, cultist, or friar at this moment. He WON'T attack any obvious hostages, chirrens (he might have difficulty figuring this out tho, now that I think of it, since he can't differentiate male from female in the mammalian races all that well and kids would look kinda like Reed...), or...well that'd be about it.
IronMaiden quickly enters the room behind Roo, a gem glowing in their armoured wrist crackles with lightning as the extend it out in front of them like some kind of gun. "UNKNOWN ENTITIES, STATE YOUR PURPOSE!"
As Reed announces their presence as he opens the door, the man standing in the center of the room turns towards them.
A broad-shouldered figure with purple skin and a beard of writhing snakelike tentacles stands in the middle of a room lined by iron doors, tightening its grip on a glaive as it glares at you through the darkness. Each door is set with a small barred window, and a ring of keys hangs from the creature’s belt.
Roo charges through the door, screaming and as he sees this creature, he swings his shortsword at him, but misses. The creature growls and retaliates.
Also within the room are six cells. You notice that two are occupied, but that is about it as the large devil with the glaive takes your attention.
"Here we go again", Corlith mutters as spots the devil through the doorway.
He then reaches out to Roo, Reed and Wilfred granting them the boon of his authority.
"Strike the devil fast and true, Roo!", he directs his Gallus companion.

"Cluck you and your cluck ugly beard!" Roo shouts as he lunges after the fiend again on Corlith's command. The Owl's Talon cuts into the monster...and then there is a flash of divine magic from the blade...
Roo solidly hits the bearded devil no fear in his eyes as he slashes beyond the beard and smites the creature heavily. The devil almost loses his grip on his glaive as the attack against him is so shocking and detrimental.
As he catches his breath, Reya runs in past Archie and seeing the prisoner behind him she gladly slashes at the devil, also connecting solidly on each hit. (23 dam resisted) Black ooze starts running out it's mouth as well as the gashes Roo and Reya have delivered so far. Seeing that there are more beyond the door, the prison guard is starting to regret it's life choices.
Reed peeks around the corner to see what's going on and his mouth drops open a little.
"He has snakes for beard. Are you seeing this?" he asks the others in the hallway. "They are a nice purple though. My mum painted an accent wall in her living room that colour."
Reed quickly aims his bow in the whirling chaos of Roo's triumphant smite and Reya's attack, looking for any distraction to give him an edge. He lets the arrow fly then moves out of the doorway to make room for the others.
Shortbow: (8+7+1 from Bless)= 16 to hit; (4+5 + 4 from Sneak Attack) = 13 piercing
The IronMaiden shuffles around the prison guard shouting in his ears as they move, "YOU HAVE MADE AN ERROR IN YOUR CHOICES, YOUR PUNISHMENT WILL BE SWIFT, ENGAGING SECONDARY DIRECTIVE, GENERAL ASSKICKER." Giving Virro an odd nod IronMaiden fires out a lash of lightning energy from their wrist like a whip and attempts to spin the devil to face them, emitting an electrifying pulse at the same time.
(Lightning Lure Dc15 str save to resist being spun, take 8 lightning dam regardless)
The devil resists the pull to be spun around at his own peril, the lightning whip gets tighter, crackling and sizzling deeper and deeper into his flesh, but the IronMaiden doesn't stop pulling. In the devil's strength of defiance he stands completely still, unmoving until the whip pulls completely through him and the top half of his body falls off of his legs, which give way to gravity a moment later. Two bleeding pieces on the ground. "HOSTILE TERMINATED, SECONDARY DIRECTIVE ACHIEVED... PRIMARY DIRECTIVE ENGAGE" and the IronMaiden looks to Virro once more, before begining to perform the clunkiest, most awkward attempt at an exotic belly dance ever seen before.
Reed looks around the corner again and smiles when he sees snake-beard down. He walks into the room, looking around for other devils. Not seeing any, he calls Slobberchops (if the cat is nearby) and asks them to check for any imps.
Reed then heads over to the prison cells to get a look at who else is in here.
Virro has his hand up ready to unleash deadly necrotic energies, then he sees the Ironmaiden gyrating wildly in a metal suited belly dance. He looses it, bending over double and laughing so hard that he can’t breathe for a minute, he takes a knee. “Oh my goodness, please stop, you’re killing me, hahahaha!” You haven’t this much mirth on the elf’s face in, well …. ever.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"PRIMARY DIRECTIVE ACHIEVED?" the maiden looks to Virto head cocked once more in confusion, "Is laughter the appropriate response? I am unaware of how to complete this task skillfully or effectively"
Virro notes Reed move from the room and he follows close behind. “Guess we will finish it…” he says to himself.

Corlith waits at the corner where he can keep an eye on Reed and Virro and also see the others as they exit the room with the circle.
”Just be careful”, he advises.
Reed and Virro lead the group south and find one last door that is opening off the sewer tunnels.
