After the flames go down and Grom dices up the corpse for good measure, Xondario surveys the own from where they are now looking for more signs of damage/fighting/friends or foes
Perception: 15
(Assuming no other immediate danger) Xondario fights the urge to go straight to the Inn, had this place been attacked, it would probably have been a point of interest. If people were holding their ground, the temple would be a good place for it, and clearly that bell doesn't ring itself. Xondario points to the temple with his Maul "Someone is ringing that bell. But these beast could have used force on the windows had they really wanted in so be warry." Xondario shrinks down and tries sneakily to move up to a window to see if he can see in:
Even as the word stumbles and falls so yo does Gorm. Luckily that is where the similarity ends as Gorm continues breathing. After a breath he climbs back to his feet supressing a groan of pain.
“Thank you for the assistance,” he says looking at Xondario and the others, though mostly the other warrior for he understands his efforts best. Still, he nods in appreciation to both of the ladies knowing they did their part as well.
“This cannot be from these beasts alone,” Gorm states. “They did not throw these rocks with their snouts…”
At the second creature's demise, Jenira pauses for a moment and all the panic comes flooding back. "I-I need to to go check on my family." With fear rushing in, she starts to run again, dashing in the direction of her family home. She retains enough of her wits in this moment to not start shouting the names of her family even though the urge is there. With every step and every ring of that temple bell, the fear and panic surge, building and building.
Xondario, with the 20 I'll tell you everything that remains in the town square.
You see again the 5ft deep hole in the ground where the Nightstone itself used to stand. There is no sign of it, not even rubble. Just north of the hole, close to where the worgs were when you entered, is a covered well. From here you can't see exactly what the worgs were eating, but you can make out that it was hair-covered, so you would assume it wasn't human, or any of the most common humanoids. On the far side from you is an empty wooden cart, and at various points around the edge of the square are tethering posts for horses and mules. You see no horses or mules. A sign outside the Inn clearly identifies it, as does the blue and silver emblem of the Lionshield Coster trading post on the south side (9).
The sound of any movement you make is well hidden by the Temple bells. Nothing emerges into the Square; if there is anything else out there then if they didn't hear your fight then they definitely won't hear your creeping steps.
The windows of the Temple are stained glass and set high in the wall, even for you. You stretch up to look, but the dark colour of the glass and your disadvantaged position gives you no real view inside.
You look back down from the window to see Jenira bolting away across the Square.
Xondario looks at the other 2 "She's looking for her family, follow her! We'll circle back to this place after, I can't make out a thing in there." Watching the other two in hopes they will follow Jenira. Clearly these two were willing to put themselves in danger and able to hold there own. Xondario starts in that direction, trying to look around as moving gives him the ability to look around building. He clearly isn't moving as fast as Jenira, spending a little time to encourage the others to keep up with her.
Gorm looks up to where Xondario moved and winces as he raises up a hand to show he heard him. "C'mon," he says to Alyssa holding out a hand to her. "Best we catch up with her before she catches up to trouble alone."
((Don't want to presume for A... But Gorm is staying close to her so if they follow Jenira or not is up to her.))
Alyssa steps out. "So he’s not running after his own friend, but asks us to blindly run after her?” She accepts Gorm’s outstretched hand to step over the worg corpse to join him. “How are you doing?” Correcting her glasses, Lyssa finally gets a chance to inspect the tiefling’s wounds closer. He feels her poking and prodding his lesions with her free hand, swatting his hand away if he tries to stop her. Looking at her he could see her brows were furrowed out of genuine concern for him, but also a hint of personal frustration. Alyssa felt as though she wasted her magic unnecessarily. Not because it was clear they didn’t need her boost, but because she thought with the state of the town, it would have been a much longer string of fights. Instead she should have saved it… “Are you going to get hurt again?” She pops a brow at him. Even Lyssa knew he couldn’t make that promise. “Okay… Let’s go that way.” The half-elf would agree to carry on with a severely hurt Gorm to head after Jenira. However, should they come across anyone in danger/in need of help before they find her, Alyssa wouldn’t be able to just run by without seeing if she could assist.
"He will be right behind us," Gorm assures her. Keeping the 'I think' portion to himself. He seems like a warrior but one cannot assume all hold the same values.
Gorm does indeed try to push Alyssa's probing hands away from his wound, more because the poking hurts than to try to hide the extent of his injuries. He walked away, the foe did not. That is what matters, not the scars one takes. "I shall live," he insists. "So long as I do not take a couple more hits like that. I was foolish, I took the thing lightly. I should have entered the dance..." It doesn't occur to him that she would not understand what he meant by that but it mattered little, he was leading he quickly after the other woman and did not have time to fully explain.
((We are rushing after Jenira though probably being a bit more cautious than she is...))
As you approach the house you pass the fence which encompasses your family's little farm yard - you see the pig sty in one corner and a chicken coop on the far side. Between the ringing bells you can now hear a cackling and a panting from the yard and, when you get closer, you see two goblins chasing around a couple of chickens that have escaped from the coop. One looks up and sees you - it screams "Aaaah!" then shouts to the other "Pojo, gath'dar! Itaa!" They both pull out short, curved, cruel-looking swords and move to hop the fence and attack you. Please roll initiative.
Jenira probably passed it in too much of a hurry, but the others following behind see that the creature the worgs were eating was a dog. There isn't much left of it now.
Xondario, looking around you as you move, you see north past the Temple and the Inn to the town's two graveyards. Walking past the Inn, the open door reveals a mess - wreckage is strewn about the place, but you can't tell more detail until you enter the Inn.
Xondario stays behind and kind of to the side of the other two as the three hurry to follow Jenira. Xondario slows down as they approach the inn. Good they will help protect Lady Jenira. Now to find Adelle. As he sees the state of the inn he starts to run towards the front door of the inn. Just before calling out Adelle's name, he hears it, the goblins. In the direction that Jenira went. Xondario hesitates just before the doorway of the inn. Must crush them them all. What if they are in the inn with Adelle, must find her. She might not be here and the goblins might get away. Xondario is struggling with which urgent priority to pursue and ultimately makes him do exactly what he doesn't want to do, nothing. He starts towards the goblins and back towards the inns door as his thought process changes.
Gorm is focused on keeping Alyssa close and not losing Jenira so he’s not tracking the movement of Xondario per se.., (perception to see if he does notice: 15) he is aware enough to tell that the large warrior turned off and is no longer following.
Perhaps Alyssa is right, Gorm thinks. He’s abandoning his friend to strangers… why? But Gorm has little time to think on this as up ahead Jenira seems to have encountered something!

Jenira sees the goblins in the yard and that anger and rage starts to build again. "What are you DOING?! GO AWAY!!" She shouts, voice breaking at the end full of fear and rage.
Hearing the break in Jenira voice is what finally convinces Xondario the direction he needs to go and he starts dashing towards her and the goblins, the still bloody maul in tow.
The two goblins leap the fence with surprising speed and swing at Jenira, shrieking "Yaaa! Kill, kill!"
Attacks: 6, 24 (crit)
They are in such a frenzy that the goblin Jenira expects to reach her first is, at the last second, actually barged out of the way by the other! Her defences opened, Jenira takes the full weight of the goblin's attack (9 slashing). Jenira falls to the ground Unconscious.
It's now Jenira's turn, Jenira please make a Death saving throw.

With a gasp and her last sight being of blood, her blood, spraying across her vision, spraying across the sight of her home. The house she grew up in. The house of her mother and her siblings. With that she drops to the ground vision going black.
(Seriously! The dangers of splitting up? Squishy level 1? Big crit? Lots rolled into that.)
It's now Gorm! Turning the corner of the Inn you see the goblins are bickering over Jenira's fallen body. Not having seen the inciting incident you wouldn't know it, but the one who was shoved is shouting at the one that struck Jenira down. "Piiroto! Piiroto!" It then sees you approaching and shouts "Aaah! Vusri'oor!"
