Krumar follows the good doctors suit viciously mocking the zombie again but this time…. “Hey zombie man your breath smells like onions, and you look like Dabbert on a good day”
Krumar seeing Dabbert be quasi heroic decides to inspire little Nef
“In a world of giants, stood Nef so small, Yet strength within could never be appalled. With a heart of steel and courage untamed, Nef's spirit soared, their might forever acclaimed.”
Seawater Sylrushes over to join Nefire against the Ghoul (G1) and is able to swing out at it with his crossbow, using it at a club and giving it a good thunk upon it’s shoulder…
Jaylan moves up into the same grouping as Nefire and Syl and sends off an Eldritch Blast against the same Ghoul (G1) which rocks the creature back onto it’s heels a bit.(Ghoul is to left of Nefire so couldn’t put you there but put you in area…)
Dabbert lashes out against the zombie (ZA) that just dared scratch him. With a quick one-two with both ends of his halbert Dabbert has the thing rocked, probably down about halfway…. (This Zombie had been undamaged before this.)Dabbert then moves to position himself between the party and the oncoming foes… (Wasn’t sure if you meant the western wave or eastern wave. Can reposition you if needed). As he steps away from the Zombie (A) it gets an opportunity attack…. It’s 14 to hit misses, however. (Had Dis due to Vicious Mockery which didn’t come into play…)
Krumar viciously mocks Zombie A in perhaps the only way one could insult a dead and decaying corpse…. And it feeling are hurt.A bit.A very minor bit.(Wis save… Oh, 13.Screw it, I feel bad, he gets the point of damage from it anyway!)
Raevyn continues ringing her bell, doing her best to make the dead pay the toll…. Unfortunately she has been having around with Krumar too much.(Omg, made this Wis save as well but I just cannot deny the 1 hp damage… I can’t.)
Pauwau, at Raevyn’s urging, slices into the mob and takes advantage of Dabbert’s moving away and the Zombie’s Opportunity Attack to bite into the essentials of the animated corpse and tear out all the essential innards…. Before unceremoniously chuffing them back onto the corpse of the dead corpse…. Yeah, that works. It is most definitely prone…
—
Zombie Tme!
Zombie B move in towards the meat of the melee and provokes Dabbert’s Opportunity Attack which staggers it immediately, knocking to around half it’s HP.It of course strikes back at Dabbert and it’s fingers slide smearingly against Dabbert’s armor but they do no damage. (16 to hit)
Other Zombie move but not into melee or anything…. Compare maps if you care. :)
—
Orc Time!
Habub rushes at the back on Zombie B and swings the pickaxe as if it was a great axe and with an Orcish YAWP it scores a critical hit, bisecting the head of Zombie B!
Wrug also comes flying in from the west, eager for a part of the Zombie but with it falling they readjust and go after Ghoul 1… But the shifting of targets throws him off and his shovel clanks harmlessly at the feet of the Ghoul.
Winug and Ogol, from the east, eye one another then close in on Ghoul 4, synchronizing their attacks.Pickaxe and shovel both hit and combined they take out that Ghoul.

Nefire smiles as she hears Krumar start to sing about her. Damn right her courage was untamed. Then.. Dabbert speaks and she glowers at him. "I'm taller than the both of you put together!" She hollers out and regrips her greataxe, anger seething through as she rages.
She sees that Syl and Jaylan have joined her, "You two, go away! Go find other ghouls, this ones mine!" She eyes the wrug on the other side of the ghoul, not sure what to make of him, but decides to ignore him for the moment and swings her greataxe at G-1
"Say, were there supposed to be Orcs in here? I'm just noticing, is all, that some of these zombies and ghouls look like alive-Orcs. Were we expecting that?"
Looking at the Orcs... "Beg your pardon? Are you the blokes we are here to rescue? Or are you possessed monsters?"

"No, stay..." The ghoul responds to Nefire's outburst. "This one is merely snack sized and I need..."
Unfortunately we do not find out what Ghoul 1 needs as Nefire's axe cleaves it in two from groin to chest and it loses all interest in conversation. And indeed in anything at all...
"We've every right to be here!" Wrug shouts back at Dabbert. "It's these fecking undead monsters that shouldn't be above ground!"
"Rescue us? It's you outsiders brought this curse here to start with I'd bet!" Habub chimes in.

Ghoul Time...
Two ghouls moved... G5 has moved into the tunnel on the west hand side and G3 seems headed that way as well. Indeed, weren't there more ghouls you seen than this??
(Cleaned the two definitely dead for good zombie off map for less clutter. The rest with pink border were recently killed...)
The fight gets chaotic as the Orcs join in. Dabbert hadn't really been paying them attention before they jumped into the fight, and it's probably a good thing that they decided to rebel against their captors when they did; caught up in the moment, he would have probably afforded them the opportunity to join the ranks of the undead before he realized what was up.
"But you're uh...literally not." Dabbert says, his brow wrinkling at Nefire's claim. He drops it, too busy in the moment to worry about whatever she's on about. He ignores the barb about bringing the curse to the mine as he catches a glimpse of some of the shambling bodies trying to make their way into the tunnel to the west.
"If they uh...want in there, I'm sure we don't want to let them go." He says, looking at the closest Orc (Habub). "What's in there? Where are they going?"
He doesn't wait around for an answer. Hoping to hear it as he goes, he moves to block the west-leading tunnel. As he does so, he attacks the zombies standing their doing...well, whatever it is zombies are doing when they're just standing around.
His halberd carves a nasty wound into the first with the blade before he follows through with the swing, stepping in with the butt-end to smack whatever survives. Then he positions himself to block the tunnel, readying to lash out at anything that comes within ten feet of him...
Turn Summary:
Move- Moved up to block the western leading tunnel and get within range of ZG and ZF.
Krumar seeing it's safe to move up a bit stands next to the good doctor "Seems like we have taken acare of business....The others can start pulling their weight....might behard for poor Dabbert.....Is it me or is he putting on a little since we left the tower.....I didn't realize his armor was a belly shirt" Krumar says loudly enough so Dabbert could hear him as he bardicly inspires him next
Krumar holds his action to flee back if any of the ghouls get to close.
Jaylan, perhaps insulted to be accused of being the cause of the undead plague, finds his aim off and himself having to duck as his errant Eldritch Blast loosens some stones and dust from the ceiling above him…
Dabbert, questioning what could be down the tunnel, heads that way to try to prevent any more from fleeing down it.With a snicker-clack of his pole-arm, first a hack and then a thud into the closest Zombie blocking the tunnel sends that zombie to the ground!(Zombie F is fallen!)
Krumar moves up onto the map but still hides behind Raevyn as he talks smack behind Dabbert’s back and remains vigilant for the excuse to flee…

Syl laughs as Jaylans blast goes astray. "Don't be so jumpy, lad!"
Then he strolls up to the zombie on the west side of the cave and gives it a taste of his crossbow-club.

“Tell us more about this curse we bring.” Raevyn calls back to the orc. She reaches out with her hand and gestures with a ‘come here’ motion. A ghostly skeletal hand manifests clawing itself from the ground, grasping for the ghouls leg.
VS G4 Attack: 17 Damage: 1
The Doctor clicks her tongue and gestures with her other hand. Pauwau lets out a low ‘blarg’. She takes her sweet time, padding her way after Dabbert, behind. There are a few mimic chomps in his direction when Raevyn would click. Pauwau would groan, huffing through her nose. She’d correct her posture and turn up her nose. Rae would shout a firm command. The young wolf would move to act, however it wouldn’t be without wretching on the Doctors shoes later.
VS ZF Bite w/ adv (Pack Tactics): 22 Damage: 5 If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 11 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Sylsidles Northeast a bit and whack the zombie there a good one before these glory stealing Orcs can kill it and take the credit!Or, he at least hits it.A bit.
Raevynsummons a spectral, skeletal hand to grab the same Ghoul as Syl… But alas has similar results, hitting but not spectacularly.Pauwau reluctantly pads off to back up Dabbert but they find their target is dead upon the ground light a corpse rightfully should be already… So the very good wolf lunges after Zombie G instead, basically standing atop ZF to do so.Zombie G has a chunk of calf pulled loose but it’s still connected by some sinew….And they hold on to their uprightedness as well, managing to make the strength save.

Zombie Time!
Zombies A, B and F are dead for the first time this round… and whatever false dim spark of life they have tries to keep twinkling and bring them back to unlife...(And oops, I need to scroll back and find the killing blows. One moment… not that you’ll notice the delay but… *shrug*)
Zombie A needs a Con save DC 15 thanks to the 10 Pauwau did with their bite.. Rolls 16 and rises once more despite it’s innards being outtards and being in a pool at their feet!Rising from the dead like this is their action…
Zombie B needs a Con save DC - Don’t know.I rolled the Orc roll outside of game log and do not have a record of it.But it was a critical hit that took off their head, I declare Zombie B dead dead!
Zombie F needs a Con save DC 9… Rolls a Nat 1.Dead dead.
Regarding the living zombies…
Zombie E lunges after Syl since they just whack ten them with a crossbow…. It didn’t hurt much but it WAS insulting!
Slam Attack vs Syl - 11 to hit, 5damage if it hits…
Zombie G lurches after Dabbert since they’re the closest and seem a threat…This triggers Dabbert’s Opportunity Attack and results in a slice of scalp and brainpan being chopped off nicely yet still they attack…
Slam Attack vs Dabbert - 22to hit for 6damage if it hits…
—
Orc’s Turn…
Winug moves in and attacks Zombie E
Pickaxe attack - 11 to hit and 5 damage
Ogol follows suit, unknowingly moving in to flank with Syl…
Shovel Attack - 11 to hit also and 7 damage
Wrug moves down to engage the just standing up Zombie A
Shovel Attack - 17 to hit for 6 damage which puts Zombie A down once again…
Habub, with his pickaxe, moves in and slams his mining tool into the zombie’s head to ensure now that it is down again it never rising again… Hopefully.
“They never brought us down there,” Habub answers Dabbert even as Dabbert has rushed off and got involved at the mouth of said tunnel.“Thankfully…That is where the abomination comes from!”
With the word abomination being said the observant can see Wrug visibly shiver and some of the fight leave his eyes.
“Forgive us,” Habub continues. “We do thank you for your rescue…. I spoke out of turn blaming you for these…. These... Creatures.Surely it’s the Green One’s doing, no?”
Wrug, for his part, nods in agreement to Habub but doesn’t particularly seem talkative. In truth his eyes are on the opening to the south and, for now at least, he is struggling not to run for it.Winug and Ogol, still engaged in combat, are barely even aware of this quick chat…
—
Amidst their combat both Dabbert and Pauwau glimpse down the tunnel to the west. They each just grab a quick glance, busy with other matters for the moment. But then they have to look again. Down that tunnel and heading their way is…. Well, Abomination certainly seems to be the correct word. For Dabbert at least, Pauwau isn’t so good yet with the words.
It is large. It is green. It is vaguely Orc-ish but much too large and much too green and it appears to be a creature of both flesh and stone…. The flesh is stretched thin and splitting in many places and beneath it… Is it made of Greenstone??
And behind this large monstrosity… More movement. It’s hard to tear your eyes away from the monsters but the missing ghouls may be a good bet.
Nefire to Act!!Then the Ghouls…

Noticing that the ghouls were heading to the west, Nefire starts running in that direction. (NW, then straight W for 25') She then sees G3 out of the corner of her eye as she is running and takes out her javelin.
Firing it off toward the creature, it wobbles in the air and even with bless, the attack is 12. If that hits, the damage is 11.
Nefire’s javelin JUST manages to clip the ghoul north of here and do a fair amount of damage to what is probably the wimpiest looking amongst the bunch. The bard of ghouls, perhaps? In retaliation…

Ghoul Time!
That ghoul, G3, turns with a hiss and charges Nefire! It is hungry and anxious for something to eat but the snack sized warrior is a bit too low to the ground and it must claw down at her instead…
Attack: 12to hit for 7damage… But I believe that misses.
The Green Abomination moves to the end of the tunnel and screams out an angry, hate and spittle filled howl of anger and hatred… but get’s no further as it begins starting to squirm through the end of the tunnel which is clogged partially be debris from mining and a partial cave in.A small swarm of ghoul eagerly swarm behind it in a bit of a frenzy…
Ghoul G1 and G4 had just fallen last round.A check of their undead fortitude shows… That they have no undead fortitude and thus they are dead dead and not rising again.(Removed from map for clarity…)

"Abomination you say?" Raevyn almost purrs these words in her curiosity. Could it be the monstrosity? She must see this atrocity and witness it's ferocity.
The Doctor glances over her shoulder to Krumar cowering beside her. "Shame." She chimes her bell and strides forward looking ahead. "Shame." The toll of the death bell chimes back as she works her way towards the North West, coming to a stop just behind Nefire.
"Down in front please." Raevyn reaches forward, making a gesture with her hand. She must get a better look at this lumbering green beast and the suspected Grunstein. She clicks her tongue for Pauwau to lunge at the Zombie and take it out or at least knock it down for her.

“Forgive us,” Habub continues. “We do thank you for your rescue…. I spoke out of turn blaming you for these…. These... Creatures. Surely it’s the Green One’s doing, no?”
Wrug, for his part, nods in agreement to Habub but doesn’t particularly seem talkative. In truth his eyes are on the opening to the south and, for now at least, he is struggling not to run for it. Winug and Ogol, still engaged in combat, are barely even aware of this quick chat…

Nefire to Act!! Then the Ghouls…

Attack: 12 to hit for 7 damage… But I believe that misses.
The Green Abomination moves to the end of the tunnel and screams out an angry, hate and spittle filled howl of anger and hatred… but get’s no further as it begins starting to squirm through the end of the tunnel which is clogged partially be debris from mining and a partial cave in. A small swarm of ghoul eagerly swarm behind it in a bit of a frenzy…
Ghoul G1 and G4 had just fallen last round. A check of their undead fortitude shows… That they have no undead fortitude and thus they are dead dead and not rising again. (Removed from map for clarity…)
To Act: Syl, Jaylan, Dabbert, Krumar, Raevyn & Pauwau

"Oh, a wise guy, eh?" Syl sneers as it seems the zombie is laughing off his prior assault. He raises Blunt again (Blunt is the new name of the crossbow, if Syl forgot to mention) and cracks the zombie hard upon the noggin.
With that accomplished, he leans on the end of the crossbow, like a fancy walking stick, and looks at the two Orcs nearby. "Beggin' pardon, but you lot wouldn't happen to have a spot of strong spirits down here, would ya? Just a nip is all I'm after."

"Abomination you say?" Raevyn almost purrs these words in her curiosity. Could it be the monstrosity? She must see this atrocity and witness it's ferocity.
(Concentration Bless on Dabbert, Nefire and Syl.)
The Doctor glances over her shoulder to Krumar cowering beside her. "Shame." She chimes her bell and strides forward looking ahead. "Shame." The toll of the death bell chimes back as she works her way towards the North West, coming to a stop just behind Nefire.
(Cast Toll the Dead: Wis ST DC13 Damage: 11 )
"Down in front please." Raevyn reaches forward, making a gesture with her hand. She must get a better look at this lumbering green beast and the suspected Grunstein. She clicks her tongue for Pauwau to lunge at the Zombie and take it out or at least knock it down for her.
(Bite w/ adv (Pack Tactics): 17 Damage: 5 )
(If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 11 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.)
"Miss Nefire, when you've finished dispatching this one, could you be so kind and show Dabbert how to use his weapon efficiently?" She leans in to whisper into Nefire's ear. "He said you wouldn't be tall enough to hit That Greenstone in the abomination's chest." Raevyn points in the direction. She'd click her tongue and instruct Pauwau to make room for a charging barbarian.
just an unstable unicorn.
"What... it seems that they went for their big friend... " says Jaylan moving near Nefire and attacking the ghoul with his sword. "I can already feel that fight is going to be fun..."
( Movement next to Nefire and attack G-3 Rolls on game log. Attack: 21 damage . Bonus Action Hexblasde curse to the abomination )

Krumar not one to be left alone follows the good Dr. (moves 30 up to the left)and listens in to all the conversations like a good bard. His jaw drops at the sight and the words fun "FUN!? I would rather run across red hot coals, my fingernails torn off, and my lute smahed into tiny pieces only to be used to gouge my eyes out than be subjected to this fun" Krumar not entirely sure what to do follows the doc and insults the zombie once more "Your flesh smells like rotten liver and onions!"
